Учитывая густо населенность Гонконга, найти отель с хорошим расположением и соотношением цена/ качество не так и просто. В данном отеле провели ону ночь, продлить не смогли, так как все номера были заняты. Бронируйте в данном городе все заранее, это не бкк. Отличное расположение. Можно прогуляться пешком от станции central.( 15 минут). Нас заселили в улучшеный номер, т.к. Он был свободен. Номер представляет собой апартаменты: полно ценная кухня, гостиная и спальня, ванная комната. Все стильно и чисто. Нам все понравилось на 5 баллов.

comfortable hotel for a long stay

I stayed at Macdonnell Road hotel for 2 weeks while I was looking for something a bit more long term in Hong Kong. I found the hotel very convenient. It is a bit far from the city centre, office buildings and restaurants, you can walk to IFC and back but it’s a bit of a hike on the way back and you better be super fit; but there is a shuttle that goes to Cental/IFC every morning and the same shuttle will bring you back in the evening. Alternatively you can catch a taxi, it will cost you HKD 20 to 30 to get to Central and taxis are always available.
There is a supermarket around the corner from the hotel and you can pick up a few things for breakfast there. The hotel doesn’t serve breakfast and I wasn’t impressed with lunch or dinner. The kitchen is very basic but you will be able to warm up your dinner, boil an egg or make a cup of tea.
The rooms are comfortable and clean. Ask for a room facing Central.
Overall it is a good hotel for a long stay. Botanical Gardens next door make it really pleasant, you can hear the birds chirping in the morning.

The room was normal, clean, comfortable but not very big, it's a bit far from the MRT station. Also I don't think the staff there is very friendly so I don't think I will stay there again....

It was a great experience that the hotel was clean with helpful staff. A free upgrade was given, hard to find such a big room in Central. The draw back was no TV in room and the sofa was really uncomfortable.

good value, but not in the center of the 'action'

We stayed 3 nites at this hotel 1) since the value was good and 2) it was close to the US Embassy and other key gvmt offices. This was perhaps a 3.5 star hotel, definitely nice and not crazy expensive as the other prime hotels down the hill. The view was lovely. The room rather nice and clean. Front desk staff were friendly and helpful - warning - they have a 'coffee shop' but harbor no illusions about breakfast since they have none... it's open for just Sunday brunch it seems, and then a light dash of lunch and dinner client.... This really is where people stay if they're in Hong Kong for a week or a month.... and if I was here for that long I'd consider as the cab ride down the hill is quick and cheap and there's tons of taxis.... the walk to Wellington area is also pleasant thru the zoological park and gardens next to the hotel.

Great Location for LKF, Tram to the Peak
Firstly the location was great for my family & I to get to Central areas plus for the tram to The Peak (3 minute walk). On top of that, the room service food was delicious, fast and convenient.

staff was very helpful and nice. hotel is situated in the middle of city.not much to eat around though. they do not serve breakfast. things around are expensive as its the heart of HK.
