Three nights in the lovely Anoma Boutique House rounded-out our recent stay in Chiang Mai. Upon arrival we were informed that our room had been upgraded from a 'superior' to a 'deluxe' one, which is never a bad start! It does mean that the review here is for that room and not the one we actually booked though. Throughout our stay the staff were all extremely friendly. Across the road the hotel has its own travel agent and massage service (the latter giving you a 10% discount as a hotel resident), both of which we made use of and were impressed by. It's location just off Ratchamanka means that the famous night market and all of the more westernised bars are only a short walk away, but should you want to get a more authentic Thai experience you can be at the local food stalls and bars of the North Gate just as fast. The only thing I could perhaps fault this place on was the slightly odd door on the room which let in quite a lot of light and noise from the communal areas through the gap underneath. It didn't prove to be a major problem for us though and in another room further away from the stairs you might not even notice it. Overall, in terms of value for money I think this place is pretty hard to beat! We will no doubt be staying here again next time we are in Chiang Mai.

Very charming room”
The hotel needs some renovation because some things feel pretty old (fridges and tv's above all) but the rooms have really nice design and charm, with nice wooden furniture (wooden window frames, nice wooden wardrobe etc.). I also liked the dimmed soft illumination of the room. Charming, again. The bathroom is spacious, the water is hot and the shower is nice with stone pavement and glass booth , kinda luxurious for the thai standards in this price range. Hotel staff is not very talkative or friendly, if you value that kind of things, but this is not a major concern for me. Nothing wrong with them for me. I've surely stayed in better hotels in Chiang Mai, but they where triple the price. Equally I'm now in another hotel near the Anoma with exactly the same price and it is pretty awful in comparison. If you look for fancy hotel experience, this is not. If you look for guesthouse accomodation this is great. I will definitely recommend Anoma Boutique and I will surely come back.

Pleasant Experience - muslim woman solo traveller”
I had a pleasant experience staying at Anoma Boutique House. There were Anoma 1 and Anoma 2, my taxi driver helped to confirm that it was Anoma 1. He helped to carry my 10kg luggage to the gate, n another staff from the hotel carried it inside. Registration was smooth+fast,reception was friendly n very accomodating. Room is on the highest floor, there was no elevator. The same staff, a woman, helped to carry my lug all the way to the 4th floor 2d room. Room was cozy. Big king bed.Pillow may be a bit too flat. Small balcony facing the Gate's direction; means, when they released the lanterns at Tha Phae Gate, with the luck from the direction of the wind blowing, I could see the flying lanterns, red dots in the sky, in bed via the balcony ;) The location, ~600m from the Gate. Away from the noise. Safe to walk around the area at night, I did it twice after midnte. No breakfast but many vegan shops nearby, which is btr. Love this! Will stay here again.

we loved tiredly making our way downstairs early afternoon for the staff members to still say "good morning" with big grins on their faces. super helpful people who are full of information and will gladly sit with you and circle any points of interest and answer any questions. the location is close to chiang mai gate where there are plenty of street food vendors (cheap and very tasty!) and only a 10-20 min walk from pretty much everything you would want to see in and around old city. on top of that our room was gorgeous and finished perfectly! also the breakfast was tasty every time. we would definitely recommend anoma boutique to anybody wishing for a luxury room at a reasonable price.

My two friends and I stayed here for two nights during a recent trip through Thailand. For the price we were very pleased with the Anoma Boutique House. The hotel staff was very friendly and accommodating. When we arrived with three travelers they moved us into a larger room free of charge. They always greeted us very warmly and were full of suggestions for activities around Chiang Mai. The room was fairly large and very neat and clean. The first floor of the hotel serves as a cafe and reception. The breakfast they serve is decent. The hotel itself is located in the city center so there is a lot of stuff close by. Within a short walk you can find restaurants, pubs, internet cafes, convenience stores, laundry services, travel agencies, and there's a place across the street to rent bikes. Would stay here again if I come back to Chiang Mai.

Great location, very helpful staff and nice rooms”
we stayed in 2 different hotels in chiang mai (also chiang mai boutique house) and this was our favourite of the two. the guy at the reception spoke very good english and was very helpful in giving us all sorts of information. we had a large room with a good comfort level. unfortunately we didn't use the jacuzzi, but this looked definitely a plus at this hotel! don't hesitate, go there and get a discount at anoma massage across the street which was the best massage we had in thailand!

Nice Antique Concept, Clean But No Car Park”
1. Location : In the heart of Chiang Mai town centre. Near to the Old City and The Phae Gate. About 10 mins walk. 2. Food : Have not seen any halal restaurant near the hotel. But many bars and Thai/western restaurant around the hotel. 3. Shopping : A lot of souvenir shop just in front this hotel. 7Eleven is just 3 mins walk & open 24 hrs. Many bicycle rental and motorbike rental shop around here. Bicycle rental as low as THB 50 per day. 4. Facilities : Internet was good in the room. No lift provided. Room and toilet very clean. Toiletries provided. Love the antique concept for door and furniture. But no space for car park. Have to park the car at another branch (Anoma Bed & Breakfast) not far away from here. Its 5 mins walk. 5. Staff : Staffs were very polite. 6. Value for money : For RM 102 per night its worth the money.

Very Comfortable Bed! Nice Deem Light in the bedroom,for relaxing . There is a dressing table for twin bed ( Superior Room) Try their Anoma Massage Centre just across the street.If you are staying in this boutique house,you can get 10% off massages. Price wise 160 Bahts~ Good Relaxing Massages. There are a lot of massage centers,Pubs, at the stretch of the row. Very Near (10Min walk) to the Night Market,Tapae wall. 2 streets away (2nd intersection)to Rachadameon Rd (where there are many cafes) 20 Min away from Chiang Mai International Airport,taking taxi/Song Theow.

Lovely authentic thai guesthouse in old town”
We loved our stay at Anoma Boutique House. Great value for $, the rooms were clean, the sheets were clean, the washrooms were just better than average and wifi worked perfectly! The breakfast wasn't anything special, but the warm authentic thai furnishing made the place warm and lovely. The staff ( and generally the Chaing Mai people we found ) to be so much friendly then anywhere else we've stayed. There's lots to do in Chaing Mai and Anoma runs a travel agent across the street that was perfectly priced and suited everything we wanted to do there! The night markets are must see and the food there is amazing! There's a guide named Nikon (0848107511) who is a one man show/taxi that took us around Chaing Mai to the Tiger Temple and Duo Suithep and was just the loveliest man!!

Great location within the walled city”
Our stay here was very enjoyable. We'd been to Chiand Mai before and stayed just outside the old walled city. This time we looked around Agoda for a hotel/inn that was reasonably priced, had decent reviews, included breakfast, and was within the old city walls. Our room was very clean, decent size, and had a nice clean bathroom. Our room was did not face the main road and was quiet at night. In the mornings we were woken as the neighborhood started to come to life (6 am). We didn't mind that as it was good to get ready for breakfast. Breakfast is from a simple, 3 choices menu. We're heading back through Chiang Mai next week and will be staying here again.

Charming Hotel with friendly and helpful service”
The hotel is located in the middle of the old city within Chiang Mai, surrounded by many small businesses, which added to its charm. The staff was always curteous, friendly, and willing to help. Included breakfast had a good amount of variety, was well prepared, and served promptly. Wi-Fi was available on every floor, and had sufficient bandwidth. I would not hesitate to stay at the Anoma again, and would recommend staying there to friends.

My husband and I had a wonderful stay at Anoma Boutique Hotel. We arrived on Jan 3 and stayed for 3 nights. The room was clean and very well decorated. The room was cleaned daily and supplies were restocked as well. The restaurant downstairs has good food and I would recommend getting the breakfast with your stay as it was delicious. The staff were very helpful. I would stay there again and I would recommend this place to anyone travelling to Chaing Mai.

Very nice and lovely guesthouse”
Me and a friend stayed at the Anoma Guesthouse for 5 days, we both had the deluxe room. From the arrival until the end it was a very pleasant stay. The deluxe roooms are nicely furnished and all the decoration of the guesthouse is done very lovely. The food they are serving is quite delicious and you will always find some guest or just people coming along enjoying it. The staff speaks english very well and support you in all ways. My special thanks here for the managers and made our stay something special. One thing though is that nearly all the tuk tuk drivers we asked for a drive back didn't know this guesthouse. When I come back to Chiang Mai I will stay there again.

Value for money”
Anoma Boutique Hotel is located in the Old Town of Chiang Mai. There are pubs and restaurant at every corner. The hotel itself is reasonably priced but don't expect any amenities that you will find in a 5 Star hotel. There's no elevator so pack lightly. TV does not work but then again you're just there to sleep. Staff are very friendly and accommodating. Be aware of Chinese tourists as they are very very loud and they tend to talk in the hallways in the middle of the night. Other than that, you get value for your buck..

We stayed at Anoma Boutique House for 3 nights & thoroughly loved it. The staff is friendly & helpful in setting up activities. The hotel is a close distance to the Night Markets that you can walk to & catch a ride back. The breakfast was good & filling. Just wished the bacon was crispier. The orange juice was very fresh. Would recommend to anyone.
