Feels like a 2nd home.”
The stay at Anantara Bangkok Sathorn was very pleasant. The 2bedroom suite consists of one living room, one dining room, one kitchen, two toilets (one common and one in the main room), one balcony and two bedrooms (one with a double bed and toilet another with two single beds). Pros: - Accessible Cab is very cheap in bangkok. Eg: from the airport to the hotel, a 30mins ride, cost about 200 odd baht. The hotel lobby staffs provide the service to help arrange the cab to the lobby area upon request. Even though it is quite a walk from the nearest train station to the hotel (approx 15-20mins) and can be quite dark in the night, cab is strongly recommended for travelling from place to place in a group of 4 is ideal. - Wifi There is free wifi in the common lobby area but there is a charge to having wifi in the rooms. - Hotel Facilities The hotel beds are very comfortable and cosy. A bathtub is provided in the main toilet too. Shower area is provided in both toilets. There is a wide range of tv channels to choose from without charge! Cons: - Even though there is a big and spacious kitchen and dining area provided, there was any pots, plates, utensils, water boiler provided. This was alittle inconvenient when we wanted to bring supper back or even to prepare our own supper.

Great hotel with great service and huge rooms”
We stayed in Anantara Sathorn Bangkok for 6 nights. The service was great, the front desk of the reception was always offering help and giving advice whenever some were needed. The rooms were really huge. The bathroom was awesome, it came with a bathtub and a shower. We were getting new toilet items like soap, conditioner etc. daily. The view from the balcony was amazing. The breakfast was delicious, the only negative point about it was that it was almost the same every day, with only a very few minor changes, so if you are staying more than two days, it will get too repetitive. The swimming pool is amazing, i liked the lights at night, they would change their color every 10 seconds. The location was good. It was close to a MRT station, only 10 minutes walking distance. It may be a problem for those not being used to the heat. But if the heat is not a big deal for you, its location is great. Taxis are easy to get as well, the guards will call them for you, youll just have to wait at the entrance. Most of the drivers dont know the hotel by its name, so just give them the name of the MRT station and explain them the way from there. All in all in was an amazing stay at the Anantara and I would definitely recommend this to everyone.

Modern hotel in a traditional touch”
during my stay at bangkok, i chose to stay at the anantara bangkok sathorn. located in a perfect place in the heart of bangkok's business district, the hotel was surrounded by great shops and restaurants. with easy access by mrt in just minutes from the hotel, it served my purpose perfectly. the hotel itself was great. it has nice, tidy and spacious design with a traditional touch as it seen on its room decoration. the view from outside the window was superb, especially in the nights at the heights from our room. the restaurant served a range of choices dishes, from italian to traditional thai cuisine with a perfect view from poolside. great taste, unique location and certainly a different kind of experience in my stays in bangkok.

Fantastic hotel with superb service in remote area”
I stayed at the Anantara Bangkok Sathorn hotel only for 2 nights over the weekend and it was not my first hotel in Bangkok. I very much enjoyed the time in this hotel as the service and friendliness of staff is very good. The room (Deluxe) was very spacious with separate bedroom and two very big balconies. The amenities, furniture etc were of highest quality and all in all perfect. After a relaxing night I wanted to enjoy the bfast buffet but had to fight with many many people and queue up for the egg station etc. The bfast buffet area is just to small and cramped so it is not relaxing at all. The food itself was quite good though. I also very much enjoyed the swimming pool and the lounge chairs to relax. One more thing I did not like at all was the fact that you have to wait ages for the lift. As the hotel tower only has three lifts but around 35 floors. All in all the hotel is very nice but just too many people. But no chance to change that I guess.

Happy Holidays Stay at the Anantara!”
We stayed at the Anantara Sathorn Bangkok between Christmas and New Years. Despite the very busy time, the staff was always efficient, incredibly courteous and helpful. From the front desk, to the bar/restaurant staff, housekeeping and the staff in front of the hotel, every encounter was with the highest level of hospitality and helpfulness. The breakfast offered each morning was outstanding with so many choices! We were a party of 7 people and all palates were pleased! The hotel amenities, including the amazing roof top bar were all of fine standards. And the location was great with an easy 10ish minute walk to the Chong Nonsi BTS line (or taxis/tuk tuks at your beckon call). Would definitely stay here again!

First class hotel and staff”
From the moment I arrived at the Anantara Bangkok Sathorn, I was treat like a VIP. The staff were brilliantly helpful and without exception were all interested in how you were, where you were going for the day and how you enjoyed yourself when you got back. I have never known such attentiveness and all of the staff truly seems to love what they were doing. From the boys who assisted with your luggage and taxis to reception staff, concierge (who was totally brilliant and helpful and had the knack of remembering your name) and waiting staff......all marvellous. The only service I didn't use was the gym. The pool was fab and the food in all of the restaurants and even room service was of a very high standard. I even had laundry done and it was all back with me the same day. Location wise the hotel was pretty good too and because taxis are so cheap it wasn't any problem getting to any of the sights. All in all I had a truest lovely time in Bangkok and would certainly use this hotel again.

A pleasure to stay...”
the anantara sathorn was a pleasure to stay at. the hotel staff were friendly and attentive. i went there to celebrate my anniversary and upgraded to a skyline deluxe room which only costs an additional thb1,000. upon check in we were asked to sit in the bar where they gave us a welcome drink (which i thought was strange at the time) only to find once in the room that they had provided a special cake for our anniversary!! a great touch and surprise. the room was spacious and very clean, with great views from the 29th floor overlooking bangkok. buffet style breakfast was second to none and we left each morning feeling like we didn't have to eat for the rest of the day. the only drawback was the wifi in the room which is charged at thb300 per day..i've never come across this in a hotel before!! great hotel and highly recommended.

Amazing stay!”
We had an amazing 3 night stay at this hotel. It was our last 3 days in Thailand, after staying in moderatley budget accommodation. we spend the extra money, and booked a 2 room suite at Anantara Sathorn, hoping that it would be nice; We were certainly NOT disappointed! the staff were all so lovely and helpful. Upon checkin, we were asked if we would like a cot in our room for our youngest child. Not long after arriving to our room, our bags and the cot were there too. The suite was amazing. the master bedroom was massive, with ensuite bathroom (and the huge bed was so comfortable!). the 2nd bedroom was reasonably sized, with 2 single beds, and enough room to move around. we had a big open kitchen/dining room and a lounge room that opened out onto a balcony, with a great view of the city. The buffet breakfast was incredible, and varied. The elevators were super quick, and the pool was nice and big (and a nice temperature too. I read some reviews that were from around New Years Eve, that weren't so good, and I dare say it was super booked and busy then, but we did not have any negative experience. The staff were very helpful with any request we had, and even booked us a taxi to get to the airport (even though they had their own more expensive transfer service). One of the best hotels we have stayed in (though we have not stayed in many 5 star hotels). Would definitely recommend.

Living up to luxury”
I came to Anantara Sathorn Bangkok hotel for my honeymoon. Taking a break from the hustle and bustle of the city, Anantara offered a beautiful escape. Our studio apartment-like room was nestled on the 18th floor of the proud standing hotel. I was very satisfied with the room and its modern interior decor with a spacious bathroom and large bathtub, the friendly hotel staff, and the tasty breakfast buffet that was offered from 6:00 am - 10:30 am. The hotel is conveniently located just a few blocks from the BTS station, so it is very accessible to get around. In all, I would highly reccommend this hotel that is suitable for businessmen& women, families, and couples.

Best 5 Star Hotel at this Price Point”
the anantara sathorn advertises itself as an urban sanctuary and i would hve to agree. while this does not have a resort hotel-pool layout like the new anantara riverside bangkok, the facilities are every bit as good at 1/3 to 1/2 the price. i epecially like the pool and fitness center and the attentive friendly staff. the location on naratiwat at soi hok (6) is just next to the brt station which will take you quickly to the chong nonsi bts. i love this hotel!

Luxurious hotel a very good price”
Anantara Bangkok Sathorn Hotel is a luxury facility at a very good price. We took a two bedroom suite, and we had a magnificient stay. It had 120sqm, it was wide and confortable, and it even had a huge living room and a small kitchen. The hotel itself it was also great with the only exception from the mosquitos in the ground floor, which made not to confortable to stay there

Good for family stay”
During my recent family trip, I have stayed at this hotel for two nights. My selection standard was 1)any 5 star hotel which has more than two bed rooms, 2) conveniently located within the city. Though I had another place in Sathorn in mind, I wanted to try out this one. My evaluation: overall fairly comfortable. Worth the price you pay. May need improvement to claim for true 5 star though. A) hospitality attitude is great. Usually attentive and respond in short interval. B) facility is fairly good. Room service, emergency first aid kit arrival was very fast. Pool, dining area, spa, gym are all nice. But there are a few points to improve. i)No utensils in the kitchen. ii) Shower booth door does not shut properly therefore water leaks to outside. iii) TV cupboard and bed is too close, therefore caused foot finger injury to my family as they hit their feet on the cupboard shelf corner. iv) no toothbrush amenity was set beforehand. v) no hotel room instruction book is placed in room. Though hotel staff claims that all instruction is displayed on TV, I find this a bit inconvenient. vi) the room initially smelled a bit moldy. C) location is 15 min walk from Chong Nosi BTS station. If you take BRT then it may be closer. The location map on google or the hotel web site is not easy to see of misleading. You need to enter from Thanon Naradhiwas Rajanaganindra road (the big road which has BRT dedicated lanes) not via any Soi.

Amazing hotel and great service”
Our stay at Anantara Bangkok Sathorn Hotel was very good the rooms where large and very spacious, the bathtub was amazing. The service was great and all the employees made our stay very comfortable, the only downfall is the location for tourists, i think it is mainly a hotel for people on business in bangkok, nether the less it was an amazing stay.

Sophistication and glamour”
Anantara Bangkok Sathorn Hotel is for the demanding visitor. Every detail of the hotel is carefully looked after. From the flowers to the scents of the different areas of the hotel, everything absolutely perfect. The rooms are very modernly decorated and because of the bedroom/living room layout have a sort of home feeling to them. DEFINITELY worth the stay.

Return visit but standards have dropped”
Having stayed at the Anantara Sathorn last year we confidently booked again for our first and last nights in Bangkok. However, we were disappointed on our arrival. Having travelled for many hours we were checked in efficiently but received no welcome drink. Our room was without the small nicesties - an empty mini bar, no gowns or slippers, orchid on the pillow; our shower was not functioning properly and the TV froze. Breakfast the following morning was of a high standard. Having commented to the duty manager upon departure that we were disappointed we were informed that a decision had been made to lower the standards but to maintain the price; this had increased their occupancy and so met the approval of the board. He did appear to take our coomets on board as when we arrived back in Bangkok having travelled for a couple of weeks we were upgraded. However, would we use Anantara Sathorn next year?? Debatable.....

Enjoyable place to stay for family!”
We celebrated our Christmas Eve in our 2 bedrooms hotel accommodation with friends... it was fun and amazing, and one of the best we stayed in this vacation. It is much modern & nicer than Ascott Sathorn., but Ascott has a bigger pool and unbeatable gym. We feel very comfortable & relax here, although some of our visitors said it's too far from the center of Bangkok. My children love it here and for sure we will come back here again next vacation.

Great Hotel!”
the staff in the hotel is really helpful and friendly and most of them speak pretty good english. you can get taxi from the hotel at any time, the staff will assist. the rooms are very comfortable, new furniture, very clean. the food is quite nice too and there is a 24 hour in room dining service. the pool has very nice lighting at night. and i loved the gym, the equipment is brand new and most of all you can access it at anytime using your key card! that applies to steam and dry sauna too. i've never seen a hotel with a 24-hour access to such facilities before. i found this to be absolutely impressive! there aren't many cons really. i stayed in this hotel total of 3 times and only problems i experienced was with channeling the tv, it shows "channel unavailable" message quite often, but i've managed to figure out how to deal with this eventually. that and the housekeeper turned off the fridge one time (i guess she thought i wasn't using it) but i had fruits there that went bad. i addressed the issue to the staff and they apologized deeply (and even offered to replace the fruits), this problem never happened again. overall this is probably the best hotel in bangkok!

Amazing Hotel, Amazing Value, Great Staff!”
The rooms are this hotel was really really good. We stayed in the 2 bedroom suite and it comes with a marble dining table, a marble coffee table. Our suite was on the 21st floor and the balcony and the rooms had amazing views of bangkok's sky line. We could take a bath in their huge standalone bath tub while staring out at bangkok through the window next to the bathtub. The hotel is about 10-15 minutes walk from chong nongsi bts. But the staff will gladly flag down a cab for you. It is just a 5 minute ride to the bts station and about 10-15 minute drive to all the main attractions in bangkok. The salt water pool was also really nice. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting bangkok. For the $$$ that you pay, the value is truly outstanding. If you have to squeeze out a con out of me, it would be its location. it is not near any attraction, but really, it is just a short cabs ride a way from every thing. I would say that its location level is same with hotels like the peninsula hotel and hilton millenium.

Excellent hotel in every way”
This is the best hotel i ever stayed in and if I ever come back to Bangkok, i will only stay in Anantara Sathorn Bangkok.I think that every hotel in the world should take an example from this hotel. The class, professionalism, experience, care and service are absolutely incredible. 5 stars are not enough for this hotel.

Good location, very comfy stay ...”
Checking-in: The process was very smooth, staff very friendly and answering all our questions. please pass on our thanks to Bill. Upon arrival, we asked for a room on upper levels and it was perfect, 31st floor, great view of the city. Location: The hotel is just off the main road with local food places nearby. Coming out of the hotel to the main road, turn left and it is a 10min walk to subway. 1 stop and you reach Silom station (metro - patpong area). Teh subway/metro is very cheap to get around during the day. Try to avoid taking the taxi to/from hotel during the day and at weekends. remember this is bangkok and you will most likely be stuck in a traffic jam. *Always tell taxi to turn on the meter* before starting the trip, or you can negotiate a good price to your destination. Room: The room was very spacious and bed was very comfy. the bathroom was ok - there was a rain shower but the water pressure was not that great. did not complain to management as was only there for 2 nights. Dining: I booked the hotel with breakfast included .. and it is worth it. They had international and local dishes on hand. Zoom Sky Bar: From the website, it looked really chic and good to check out. We went up there on Sat nite @103-pm and there was hardly anyone there. We were very disappointed. After taking lift to 38/F, you have to walk up 2 flights of steps. The DJ was playing not great music and the speakers were under their covers so the sound was not impressive. We just had the one drink and left to head out for the night.
