Superp city villa in the downtown of Bangkok”
we have really enjoyed stay in ariyasomvilla hotel which is quite unique experience in bangkok - as alike many other places this is small wooden city maison (build in 1942 from teak wood). the place is great if you like to stay in very tranquil and cosy place yet with all modern facilities, big rooms (and spacious bathrooms with pebbles walways in the floor), big swimming pool, own spa and vegeterian (fish incuded) restaurant. the service and staff deserves special acclaim - we arrived very early and although it was before check in time we have been provided by brekfast (for free) and a room "just to relax" (as our room was not yet ready). hotel is located in the very end of soi 1 sukhumvit near klong (which is a bit smelly) so you need to walk about 10 minutes from main road. whether this is advantage or not depends on what you expect - if you want relaxation and easy going stay this is very right place.

Paradise in the Big City”
I have been to Bangkok close to 30 times and stayed at around 30 different hotels of all varying levels. However, I can now safely say that I have found the hotel I will stay at for the rest of my trips. Ariyasomvilla is an inner-city sanctuary offering absolute luxury and true hospitality that can only be found in a world-class boutique hotel. The staff are lovely and we were personally greeted by the owner upon our arrival. You really do feel like you are a guest staying in a beautiful big home, rather than a room number in a hotel. I would recommend Ariyasomvilla to anyone who wants a bit of a personal touch in beautiful surroundings whilst staying in the big bustling city that is Bangkok. 15 out of 10 guys! Lovely! PS – the photos do not do it justice!

Great hotel/service near the sky train & shopping”
Ariyasomvilla was recommended to us by a friend who stayed there back in 2009 and we were disappointed. Although we were a little worried about the location at the end of Sukhumvit Soi 1 as we approached the hotel in the taxi from the airport, we were more than pleasantly surprised. It was close enough to the sky train, Sukhumvit area, and malls to make them convenient but removed enough to not hear ANY of the loud dim on Bangkok. The rooms were VERY nice as well (bathroom was the nicest hotel room bathroom we have ever had). I will definitely recommend this to friends travelling to Bangkok. Note: Although we are a couple on our honeymoon we wanted the full range of things to do. Food, shopping, bars/clubs, late nite. This place was great.

Lovely boutique hotel with amazing owners”
Both my boyfriend and I have been to Thailand quite a number of times and know Bangkok relatively well. It was our first stay in this hotel and both of us agree this was so far the best hotel in Bangkok that we have stayed - we stayed in another luxury boutique hotel for the last night of our trip after returning from Koh Samui (because Ariyasomvilla was fully booked for that night) and were so glad that we stayed in Ariyasomvilla for two nights to start our trip! The best thing about this hotel is that the owners/managers are onsite and they love talking to you, getting to know you, telling you the history and surrounding of this building. It was quite a personal experience. The room we stayed in was in the newer building and was beautifully designed, spacious and quiet. The hotel is located at the corner end of a quiet and small road but very accessible to other places and the airport by taxi. There are also two skytrain stations within walking distance.

hidden gem in heart of Bangkok”
my husband and i came to bangkok for the weekend to have an annual health check at bumrungrad hospital, and were looking for a hotel close by. the ariyasomvilla was the perfect choice for us, being right next door to the hospital. the hotel has been converted from an old traditional style bangkok house and is set within it's own garden. the rooms are lovely, service friendly and efficient, and breakfast large and tasty. previously we have stayed in modern faceless serviced apartments, but the ariyasomvilla has soul and made for a much more interesting and pleasant weekend. we will be back.

A HIdden Gem!”
Ariyasomvilla Hotel has it all. A relaxing retreat from the hustle and bustle of Bangkok's urban core, and yet situated right in the heart of it! Go have your exciting Bangkok adventures by day and then return to this idyllic, boutique hotel, built in and around a 1940's family mansion. Great thought went into the design and layout of this hotel and you won't be disappointed. The verdant grounds bloom with Asian flora at it's best, the large house retains it's mid-20th century charm and mystique, and the rooms are spacious and combine classic Thai design with modern amenities. In fact, you may find that you love it so much you may just opt to lounge around the pool all day casually working on a good book, a cocktail, and a piping-hot plate of spring rolls.

Absolutely charming staff”
I stayed at Ariyasomvilla because it was right next to Bumrungrad Hospital where I was being treated. I chose it because of the charm of the old building and the lush garden and I couldn't have chosen better. I arrived from the airport at 7am expecting simply to leave my bags and bide my time until I could check in, but was extremely pleasantly surprised to be given a spare room in which to sleep and shower until my room was ready - at no extra charge! The Manager was around a lot and was very friendly and quick to give advice and the staff was absolutely wonderful. Room service was quick and the vegetarian restaurant makes delicious fresh food and juices. My room was enormous and nicely decorated with tropical hardwood floors and tasteful artefacts. The only possible criticism would be that it was a bit dimly lit. The pool is salt water and nice and long so you can do lengths. The garden is a little smaller than one thinks from the pictures and you can hear the noise of Bangkok nearby, but all in all, this is an oasis of peace and beauty in an extremely well located part of chaotic central BKK. The BTS is 5 minutes' walk and the hospital about 3. I will be returning to Ariyasomvilla even if I am not there for medical treatment!

tranquil boutique hotel with a good restaurant ”
ariyasomvilla is a lovely and tranquil oasis in the heart of bustling bangkok. we arrived well after midnight and were greeted with fruit juice and taken to our beautifully furnished room which had a great bed. the hotel is converted from a large thai house with lovely art and furniture throughout. the all-vegetarian food was among the best we experienced compared with upper end bangkok restaurants and the staff were all extremely attentive and welcoming. the owner, david, was present at every meal and is a good resource for all things bangkok as well as being an all-around nice guy. that kind of personal attention and the talents of his harvard-educated landscape architect wife, ensured the quality, intimacy, and beauty of surroundings that we were seeking in a vacation respite while we explored bangkok. the pool and spa are an added plus.

An Oasis in the middle of bussling Bangkok”
The four nights we recently spent at the Ariyasomvilla Hotel were a welcome relaxing time having just spent six busy weeks in Paris, Barcelona and the UK. The hotel was beautifully appointed with large living and bathroom areas. The restaurant whick offered all day service was excellent, and the breakfast was sensational. The staff were friendly and well trained. We had several massages whick were a welcome relief from the previous six weeks. I would highly recommend this little oasis in the centre of bussling Bangkok.

oasis of peace and silence in the midst of BKK”
Ariyasomvilla is an oasis of peace and harmony in the middle of busy Bangkok, close to all means of transport incl skytrain. The management and staff are very friendly. The hotel is beautifully constructed and decorated in a way that makes you feel at home. The swimmingpool and gardens are well kept. Breakfast is excellent. The restaurant offers a choice of Western and Thai dishes, all superb. Food and wine are reasonably priced for the quality. The restaurant was frequented by Thai non-hotel guests, proving its good quality, and giving the restaurant a pleasant atmosphere (unusual for hotel restaurants).

Ariyasomvilla Hotel”
We stayed at the Ariyasomvilla because of the reviews that I read online. I have to stay I am very glad that I did. The hotel is as beautiful as other people have described. The owner is an interior designer and landscaper, so he has worked hard to create a place that feels like you are not in the heart of Bangkok. Each room is beautifully done and unique. While some might prefer to be along the river, my husband and I love the Sukimvit area for shopping and medical care. The hotel is only a 2 minute walk from Bumrugrad Hospital.

Ariyasomvilla Hotel”
Ariyasomvilla is an incredible oasis in Bangkok. The rooms are beautifully decorated with Thai silks, teak floors and very comfortable beds and furniture. The bathrooms are wonderful! The landscape design is artistically done to allow beauty and privacy in all areas of the hotel. There is great attention to the smallest details with candles lit each night outside and inside the rooms. Our meals were excellent! Breakfasts - whether Eastern or Western - offered fresh fruits and healthy choices. For dinner we had wonderful Thai cuisine artfully prepared and served in the quite beautiful dining room. I can't say enough good things about this place. We stayed 7 nights and were thrilled with our stay. David and his wife are most helpful and wonderful hosts! Can't wait to go back!

Beautiful hotel, exceptionally well run”
we booked into this hotel for 1 night as a stop over for our return trip home to abu dhabi. however, my wife was taken ill and ended up having emergency surgery at the main hospital close by. our total stay ended up as 6 nights. the management and staff could not have done more for us. we were moved to a bigger, ground floor room for easier access and were not left wanting for anything. the hotel itself is beautiful and the rooms very well appointed. we did use the spa later in the week, which is in a lovely outdoor setting. the (vegetarian) restaurant is superb. the food is very well presented and is very tasty. when we return to bangkok, as we intend, we will defiintely stay at ariyasomvilla. i highly recommend it.

Sumptuousness and serenity in Soi 1?”
Never having been to Bangkok we booked the Ariyasomvilla off the internet for our first three nights in Thailand. We were so glad we did! This is a TRUE boutique place to stay. We don't like to call it a hotel (although it has every facility) as it's much more than that. Much more personable and intimate (truly wonderful staff and owner)- much more flexible, with breakfast anytime of day and all personal needs met with the biggest of Thai smiles. The place seems like a labour of love for the family who live here and own this magical place - and this love shows in EVERY single aspect of this Bangkok haven. We completely changed our travels and came back to stay for five further nights before we left for England with heavy heavy hearts.

Urban Oasis”
We're long-term ex-pat residents in Bangkok and have stayed at Ariyasomvilla many times throughout the years. It's really an exquisite place with lush gardens chock-full of unique local flora and well-appointed rooms in which every detail has been anticipated and attended to. The history of the original structure (a private home built in the 1940s) and the modern, architecturally and culturally sensitive additions make this a unique hotel with an equally special story.

A charming oasis in the centre of Bangkok”
This is a gem, really. So easy to forget you are in the middle of Bangkok once you enter the front gates, and yet you're very close to everything. The building oozes tropical Thai charm and the interiors are just beautiful. The rooms are spacious and welcoming. I travel to Bangkok frequently and this is my hotel of choice. David, the owner/manager, makes everyone feel welcome and at home. The pool and restaurant area is a lovely place to relax. There is nothing stuffy or pretentious about the design or the service; it's all very comfortable and easy. The location is not only great for Bangkok's best shopping, but it's also an easy walk to Soi 11 where you can find what is arugably Bangkok's best pizza at Limincello. It's also a great location if you're coming from the airport; as you exit the freeway onto Sukhumvit, you just take the first Soi on the left - helps to avoid traffic jams, most welcome after a long flight. The restaurant serves excellent vegetarian food, and if you're not sure what to order just ask David and he'll steer you in the right direction. He also knows about all the great restaurants in town, if you're in the mood for going out. Definitely my favourite Bangkok hotel and I recommend it to everyone I know.

Oasis in Bangkok”
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Ariyasomvilla. It's close to many interesting parts of Bangkok, day or night. The hotel is based on a grand old home and gives a feel of Bangkok in its grand heyday a century ago. The outdoors of the hotel is a large tranquil garden to wander through. The pool is salt water and tepid - very pleasant. Massage on site...what more could anyone want?

Exceptional”
David and his team at the Ariyasomvilla have created a delightful and calm Oasis away from the frenetic nearby Sukhumvit road Quiet and spacious rooms, attentive service and a shady garden with pool all combine to create a perfect home from home. Although not vegetarian ourselves the food in the vegetarian restaurant was first class and we had one of our best meals in Bankok there. David is a charming host and very friendly and informative about life in Thailand. We hope to return

A really nice place with great vegetarian food!”
Ariyasomvilla Hotel is a really nice place to stay for a few relaxing days. It is designed in a combination of art deco and traditional Thai style and it is a pleasure to dine in the restaurant or spend ample time in the beautiful rooms, with great bathrooms. We are frequently in Bangkok and would stay there again!
