i stayed in bangkok house few days.the place is near khaosan road,but n a silent enviroment.no party or guests after 10.so if you want relax,that best place for it.

nice wooden house”

I dont want to give a bad rating or comment for this place I stay only for a short time, but I try to tell you the best point and the bad points. starting to the bad point the signage is not visible enough to get to the hotel, this situated in the small narrow line from another narrow line. asked the taxi driver the location he could not tell me where this hotel was situated. the welcome was..hum ordinary no extra, the house was made from wood it was lovely, but noisy.overwise the accommodation is away from Ko San Road so it is quiet on the night time . the room where pretty basic just a bed and a fun, one plug connected with the fun. the toilets and bath were shared and shared by all people on the ground floor. but what you are expecting for the price. the cost in Thailand hotels are raising every years, now for a good not basic accomodation you need to pay few bucks.

It's a nice hotel with a traditional building”

I have a good experience like living at home. But, when i stay in Bangkok House, there are some customers that is very noisy in the night.

Cheap, good location”

Good value for money. Unfortunately we got room with windows at entrance gate to guest house and reception and common garden, so there was very loudly till midnight and sometimes longer, an we had to hide our windows because everyone could see into inside our room.

I don't quite understand all the negative reviews. I had a lovely stay here. Great neighborhood, right next door to a very small monastery. Far enough away from the Khoa San lameness. Excellent value for Bangkok. I can't comment on the shared bathroom facilities because I had my own but they seemed pretty kept to me and I had no complaints about mine. My only gripes were the musty smell of the place, probably because it's an old wood structure (teak?)and also the noise in the morning from other guests, I was adjacent to the shared baths and there is no real insulation.

Pleasant Stay”

Bangkok House is located near Samsen Rd, which we considered as a perfect location, because its quite near the center of banglampoo but in a rather quiet backstreet. Staff was nice but didn't really speak english. Our room was rather big-sized and clean, though the lightning was a bit dim. All in all it was a pleasant stay at Bangkok House and we would recommend it for budget travellers.

It's a quiet place for rest. Just a bit hard to get to the guest house for those whom first time in Bangkok.

i stayed here for 2 days.It is a wooden family house and they have only electic fan in the room . staffs are nice and helpful in my asking of directions. It is located far from the noisy street of khao san road so you can sleep at night without noise disturbance .

Great value for money”

We didn't have that much contact with the staff; anyway, they didn't care too much! The guesthouse is in a narrow road 10 mts walk from Khaosan area, close to ferry transport, very quiet at night time. This s an old wooden house. the walls are paper-thin, but anyway you can enjoy your privacy: the staff won't show up at all. The rooms are quite nice and secure-locked. worth the money you spend. The shared toilet are not bad, but kind open air!

Excellent location”

I like this place because it is located quite near Khaosan road, but not too close so you can stay away from the crazy noise of this busy street. Also, it took us only 15 minutes to walk from our hostel to Grand Palace. There is no BTS train nearby; however, if you travel from Don Muang Airport, you can take Shuttle Bus or Bus 59 to Khaosan road, then walk around 10 minutes, pretty convenient. No matter how late you reach Bangkok, streets around this hostel is always lively; there is nothing to be afraid. Minus points are that the room is really bad smelling and staff didn't appear friendly at all.

Because it's cheap so its rooms do not have aircondition. If you're lucky to get the room at 1st floor maybe you can sleep but 2nd floor is too hot and 1fan only can not help anything. This hostel's near from Khaosan road , easy to get to Grand Palace area, and next day if you want to go to Ayuthaya, it's very cheap and near by taking tuktuk or taxi to Hualamphong station. The location of this hostel is very quite, the main staff did tell us there'll be more room with more convenient to serve from Oct. I think if next time when we have low budget, surely I' ll choose this hostel.

silent place”

i was stay here 6 days.good place if you want near the khaosan road,but you like stay in silent place.there is no party or visitors allowed after 10 pm.

Good place. Calm from noisy khaosan road. Small but good room. WiFi sometimes go dead but get life soon.

An ok stay”

We enjoyed our time here, had a nice hammock on the balcony which was cool. The room was small and was quite hot at night. Close enough to the town (Khao San Road) maybe 5-10mins walk but far enough out to avoid all the noise from the bars etc. Staff were helpful but we had to pay for hot water for noodles etc...we felt small perks like this should be included in the price of £8 a night. Wifi good. Overall a good stay, we would recommend but for the price you could probably find somewhere nicer with better facilities.

Nice Place”

Nice place to stay. I come here every time that I stop in Bangkok. For me it's like home. Near to Khao San but without the same nightlife. Clean enough and super good Wifi

Hot, stuffy noisy rooms & terrible staff”

It started off badly at check-in. The room wasn't ready and they lied about what time we could check in so that was very inconvenient. Also, the staff acted like we were bothering them anytime we approached the desk and even avoided us a couple of times! The house itself is nice since it's all made of wood BUT it keeps the heat in and feels like a sauna. You can also hear everything that moves or other people's conversations. Our room was above one of the toilets. I think there's probably better guest houses in the area.

simple room in Khao San area for little money”

simple room with fan. clean and no smells. shared toilet and bathroom. good place to meet internaional guests. I didn't use my fan - however, there was some noise at night by fans and a/c of other rooms.

Average ”

Not comfortable, definitely not the best deal in terms good quality for money. My room (on the grand floor with so called garden view) turned out to be very noisy for 2 reasons: 1) the room has 2 small windows facing the court yard where people are chatting and smoking early in the morning... I had to keep the curtain closed all the time, and still had cigarette smoke smell getting into my room. 2) the wooden floor in the house cause every step to resonate. People getting up at 7 am and walking to the shower on the first floor sounded like elephant's walk! Besides the room's walls are built in dark wood, which has some charm but made the room very dark. Finally, the staff working at the reception was not engaging, seemed quite indifferent, the service felt impersonal and did not make me feel welcome. I left after two nights. Note: no food nor drinks provided onsite

near khaosan road, walking need 10minute,easy take local bus to other palaces such as china town,grand palace,chacutak market and mochit bus terminal (go to chiangmai and north area),friendly staff and good value of money.
