Brilliant new hotel in a very good location”

this hotel was by far the best we have stayed in bangkok, especially in terms of price and location, i just wished we knew about it sooner. the staff were absolutely fantastic too, they let us check in early which was brilliant as our coach arrived in bangkok at 7am and we got to the hotel around 8am and didn't want to walk around with all our luggage. also when we checked out we were allowed to leave our luggage there until we had to leave for the airport and we were offered a shower! which was absolutely amazing after a long day in bangkok and facing a 14 hour plane journey home. i would highly recommend this hotel, its in an ideal location fairly close to siam square which is easily accessible via close public transport, and it is brilliant for those wanting to stay in bangkok as a stop off point before travelling north or south due to being a 5 min walk to hua lamphong (main) station. breakfast was good too and again the staff were very attentive. it seems to be a new hotel and was very clean, it is definitely a hidden gem.

Nice staff, good location and good room”

We had 5 great nights during our stay at the A One Inn in Bangkok. De staff are all very friendly and there's always someone who speaks English. They help you with everything and make your stay memorable. We got a lot of tips and to do's from the owner of this place, she is a lovely woman and knows a lot about Bangkok. Hotel location is great, make sure that you print the map on the website for the taxi driver. Since the hotel is new, not everybody knows the hotel. It's 5 minutes walk to Hua Lampong Station. We will surely be here more often!

New hotel with friendly staff”

small and cosy room. price was right. near to hualamphong train station and subway station. great for quick stopovers. staff was friendly and attentive although they dont speak much english. breakfast was ready at 4am when we had to rush for a 6am train at hualamphong.

Quiet and good but unknown to taxi drivers”

No taxi drivers know where this hotel is. I had to guide the first one using Apple maps on my iPhone and even then direct him as he couldn't handle the rotating display! Once there check in was smooth and we were led to one room and showed in before they realised it hadn't been cleaned. Handled well the man ran to reception before coming back and taking us to a different room. I think this room must have been a family room as it had three bedrooms - one double two single rooms with individual air con and TVs. The beds and linens were comfortable and the air con worked well. As the hotel is in a quiet part of the city the room was extremely quiet which was nice as previously in Bangkok, as with other big cities, we've suffered from street noise. The bathroom was great, with separate shower cubicle and hot water from the tap as well as the shower - a rarity in our Asia travels. Breakfast was strange and went by without a word being ushered by the staff. We went down and sat at a table, then without any choice a plate of cold fried egg, warm hot dog style sausage and toast came followed closely by a cup of tea - no choice or word! It was edible but I wouldn't recommend it unless its included in your room rate like ours! The hotel is within walking distance (5 minutes) to Bangkok's main train station, and an MRT subway station. It is also a 50-60 baht metered taxi to Siam Paragon or MBK shopping centres. A 7/11 is about 10 minute walk away as are several street food stalls. The hotel is in China town so I assume close to decent restaurants but we didn't see any on our overnight stop.

A great place to for a short stay”

We stayed in Bangkok only for one night, so we didn't bother with a fancy place. This suited our purposes perfectly. In fact, I think it was nicer than I expected. There is a menu for room service that was easier to use than I expected. In fact, I didn't expect to have that option at all. It was good to have something to eat after the minibus in from Siem Reap, Cambodia. The only downside to this room was that the shower curtain had a bit of build-up on it. Nothing too nauseating, though. The hotel is just a handful of minutes by foot from the train station, although it may be a bit hard to find.

Brand new, very friendly staff, quiet,”

i arrived at midnight and got lost. the hotel is located in a small alley very close to the 2nd highway and rd rama iv. be reminded of writing the hotel phone number down on a paper for it is almost impossible to find it for someone not living in this neighborhood. and later i actually think the location is good since it is very close to mrt, railway station,main roads, sights, nightlife areas and shopping areas (2 stops to silom and 4 stops to siam), but it is very quiet all hours. it's really important for someone who can not sleep in noises like me. the hotel is brand new, room is clean. nothing is fancy but adquate enough. that's i think most travelers need. staff are very friendly. good choice for couples or single travelers.

This Place Rocks!”

I can't applaud this hotel enough. It is a 10 minute walk to Hua Lampong train station, very clean hotel/dorm, Big common area with full kitchen. The 'dorm' room ends up being your own 'room-ette'- meaning, you have your own shower and sink in your room, just shared toilet facilities. There is even a shared refrigerator on the dorm floor. I was nervous about finding the train station and one of the staff members escorted me to the train station! If I go back to Bangkok, this is the hotel I would return to.

Does the job.”

One night stop on way to Samui. Close to hualamphong station 5 min walk. We previously got a taxi at 3am which was organised for us, little more expensive by endured driver was there and very convenient. If you stay here you must work out where it is, on two occasions taxis did not know where it is as it is down a back street just off the road. This time we took a map off google and got dropped where the intersection of main fly over road meets hualamphong road - then it is just 30 seconds walk. There is a sign on the main road but its small.

Highly recommended stay for budget travelling”

a little bit difficult to locate the hotel. however, it is quite near to the train station for you to travel around bangkok. great service provided and nice room condition as it was newly renovated. great advice provided by the hotel owner when we post lots of questions for the interest points in bangkok. we actually extended another 2 nights at this hotel and we are totally satisfied with their service. will definitely come back to this hotel again for our next visit to bangkok~

Great hotel if you can find it”

follow the directions on their website and you'll find this little gemof a hotel. although the rooms are a little in the cozy side, they are of high qualit with a modern finish. ours was clean, quiet and had fresh water brought up each day. the hotel is down a side street, blocking out any noise from the traffic. the staff were excellent and attentive too, they allowed us to extend our stay and remain in the room for free until 7.30pm, until we had a train to catch. it's about five minute walk from hualumpong metro station and the main bangkok railway station but there isn't much else around. we would certainly stay here again.

Almost exactly what we needed!”

We spent 6 nights in this new guesthouse (only open a few months)- the first 2 in the twin room and then the last 4 in a double room. Because the hotel gave us a good deal, we ended up paying only a few dollars more for the double than the twin. The double was huge, very clean, and very comfortable. Breakfast was ok and the same every day (eggs & toast) - got a little boring, but nice that it was included. The hot water went out on our last day but a call to the front desk had someone up to our room almost immediately and fixed shortly after. Service overall was good but not as friendly or helpful as other places. The young teenage girl who fixed breakfast was cute and funny but it might wear on you how she's always on her headset, giggling and chatting to whoever was on the other line. There's an excellent vegetarian restaurant a couple blocks away- Suki Jeh Ru Yi - amazing sweet and spicy "chicken" dish! This, combined with the fact that the hotel is so close to Hua Lamphong train and metro station, makes this an excellent place to stay.

very clean and modern with small rooms”

we stayed at the hotel twice: two nights the first time and one night the second. the people who run the hotel are simply marvelous human beings...very friendly and helpful. the room we had, 408, was very small but modern and the bathroom is very modern. i would recommend it for a short stay before taking a train or a plane. it is a bit out of the way...about ten minutes walk from the main train station. we were treated extremely well...they gave us a wonderful dessert our last day, delicious oranges, and some snacks. you get a breakfast (an egg, toast, hot dogs, tea) and they have a computer you can use to get on the internet. we really liked mae and koy.

Odd location but nice”

The hotel is down some back alley but what is really handy is that its near Hua Lamphong station really near and with a GPS phone or tablet you can walk it easily. Hua Lamphong is great for connections to everywhere and we used it as a base for one night for an onwards journey. Chinatown is within easy reach of the hotel and staff will give you a guide on tuk tuk prices but we walked it. The hotel itself is modern and clean; rooms are small but more than adequate for a short or long stay much nicer hotel quality that our later one in the Khao San area.

Front Office very friendly and always willing to help. During our stay, They help us finding a good tour operator Thanks to the Hotel Owner which bring us with her car to Hualamphong railway station, when we have difficulty finding a taxi

Very good hotel”

The room pretty and modern. There are library room and watching TV area. I love this. The elevator is broken but it not impacts so much. The staff is nice when we check in, but impatience when we ask some times again the road to Hualamphong MRT.

simply fantastic - thailand's hidden gem”

we arrived after 3 hours in a toktok tired & weary but we where greeted with such pleasant people that,that soon disapeared, the rooms where clean & fresh, the place allthough new was fantastic order, we went out for a day shopping & site seeing, markets etc and they gladly held our bags for us as we where traveling to koh samui at 10.30 that evening and had already checked out, when we arrived back after an eventfull day, the managress took one look at us and asked if we would like to go back to our old room & have a shower before we had to catch the train. this on top of everything else was truly remarkable,full marks to this lovely lady and thailand should be proud of her and her commitment to service. i will be back and thats the only pplace i will stay!

Been here twice, a good central option.”

Had a good stay. 2 of them actually. Less than a 5 min walk from Hualamphong railway station and MRT. Easily reached from Suvarnabhum airport via Rail Link/MRT. Nice smallish clean rooms w/ wifi & hot shower. Didn't try the breakfast. Basic and adequate service. A handful of streetside eateries close to Hualamphong MRT.

Convenient location and worth the price”

The hotel is very near to the hua lum phong mrt station which is very convenient for travelers to travel by trains. In addition, the owner of the hotel is very friendly and helpful. You can ask her anything and she will guide you. However, the receptionist and the hotel staff needs more improvement in terms of friendliness. The hotel room is clean, stylish and quiet but the hot water for shower is not warm at all and the toiletries provided are not sufficient and not user friendly. The hotel is equipped with free wifi and the connection speed is quite fast. However, the drawback is the location of the hotel is not easy to find in the first place. So make sure you ask the hotel for location before you check in. Even you ask people nearby, they won't know the place.

Cozy hotel, fast and efficient service! ”

it was quite a hassle in locating the hotel at first because the hotel is located in the alley. however, after you get used to it, the place is actually very accessible, 5 mins walk to mrt stn (hualumpong), atm, convenience store and night eating places! very clean hotel and breakfast is provided from 7am to 10am! great service by hotel staffs, smiling and pleasant looking! certainly worth my time over there, would recommend to people whom looking for stay at hotel(e.g business, shopping), not so much of relaxation facilities, however you can find around bkk. thumbs up!

The standard room is a bit small, so I upgraded to superior room, and I insist this option if you can afford. 40 baht taxi or bus no.29 to MBK and Siam Center. Subway station is just nearby. Quiet surrounding and not many options for breakfast. Stylish decoration, good quality internet connection on every floor. Recommended for Chinese speaking. Staff are not all good at English, but very attentive, 24/24 try their best fulfill your request. Good place at good price for busy travellers who spend most time outside and only need a comfortable bed to rest.
