Wonderful stay for family of 6!”

Truth be told it was a great place to stay. Breakfast was not included through Agoda. I suggest that Agoda allow breakfast to be included in this hotel stay. That was a huge shock after staying at Ibis Bangkok Riverside for week. The hotel staff understood our concerns and only charged us breakfast for the weekend days. Great service. I have four small children ages 6 and triplet 4 year old they enjoyed the pool, but the pool was very called in the month of December. The time to go swimming would be early morning till about 1:00pm the pool doesn't get much sun. The location of Ibis Bangkok Riverside is a safe location. I traveled with friends with older children; ages 16, 14, and 12, they walked around the area on their own. There is a new shopping center close by with a Starbucks for those Starbucks lovers. There are also local coffee shops for those who do not like big chains so much. There is also a International Grocery store in the shopping center called Villa Market for those foreigners who live in places where getting western items are hard to find. The shopping center is called Sena Fest. My favorite part about the location of the hotel is the walking distance to the BTS train station that gets you to Siam World Center; MBK and other major tourist attractions. The ferry is close to take to the Grand Palace and Travlers road for backpackeres Kaosang road. I actually only planned on staying at the Ibis for 4 nights, but extended my stay for 10 nights. We loved exploring Bangkok! Thank you Ibis Riverside!

Exceptional experience relax and swim by the river”

In summary . . don't stay anywhere else!!! I have stayed at many hotels of different standards in Bangkok and will never stay anywhere else again. The Ibis is superior to hotels 5 and 6 times the price. From the very moment we arrived (late) the staff were professional and SUPER SUPER FRIENDLY. We were even given an upgrade to a river view room which I was not able to book online. This area by the river is great for food and access to all parts of Bangkok. Tuk tuks are a bit of fun if you have not been to Bangkok before but the novelty wears thin before long and the ease and air conditioned comfort of travelling on the trains and buses in Bangkok traffic is a pleasure and much quicker at a tiny fraction of the price. We are keen swimmers and we loved the pool and its location by the river. We love a dip in the morning and also in the evening after a long day of shopping or business. Our only criticism about the pool was that it closes at 7pm and this is much too early we think.It meant that a relaxing swim after a long day was sometimes out of the question. The rooms were so clean.There was a pleasant sitting area in the room and plenty of room for our 2 computers. The TV service was great and very clear with many English speaking channels. BUT HERE IS THE CLINCHER . . and you will understand if you have ever stayed in Asian hotels very much like we have. . the bed was the most comfortable bed we have ever experienced. The bathroom is small but well designed and well appointed and plenty of room for 2 people. Before we left we wanted to thank the manager and left a gift for him and the staff to experience, but we were not able to see him and have not heard back from him. We hope he received it OK! We look forward to returning to Bangkok and to The Ibis Riverside.Here is 3 cheers for the staff (specially the front desk staff and maid service). Thank you and kudos to the manager for having such a happy and professional team.

A Gem of a Hotel”

I have stayed at the Ibis Bangkok Riverside Hotel many times over the years and it never disappoints. The rooms are good with very comfortable beds and a well equipped shower room. The WiFi was very good and consistent, the TV seamed to be good enough however I was out enjoying the surrounding area most of the time so didn't catch up with much other than the news (Several English channels). The Buffet breakfast is wonderful with so many options its sometimes difficult to choose (some people just try everything :0S ). There is a free shuttle buss to the local Sky Train terminal which will take you just about anywhere you wish to go or you can order a taxi from reception which you are guaranteed they know where you are going and an estimate to costs too. This has been very helpful as in the past I have been taken to places way out of my way (due to inaccuracies in my pronunciation I was lead to believe). There is a good evening buffet too but also there are many small eateries around the hotel and Two Seven Eleven shops too. I would recommend a small restaurant just next to the 7/11 on the entry lane to the hotel. It is easy to spot because it has an unusual water feature that looks like water flowing down there windows. The food in there is very good from snacks to full meals, very cheep and served in a jiffy. If you have not eaten a stake in a few months this is the place to have one, try it... This was a great stay and will be staying here again soon.

Great Location On the River ”

We had a great stay at the Ibis Bangkok Riverside. You are right on the river so you can watch all the comings and goings on the river while you relax eating your breakfast. However, everything you need, the river tours and sky train, are on the other side of the river. You can either take a taxi, or walk across the bridge ( which has a pedistrain sidewalk, so it is safe), or you can take a 10 min walk to the river taxi that will take you across the river. The local river taxi runs about every 10 mins. It is very clean, the beds are extremely comfortable, good breakfast, nice friendly service. The shower is hot and has great water pressure. The hotel has a great pool, but it the water is a little chilly in the winter, but that didn't stop people from using it. There is an amazing breakfast buffet each morning. Make sure that it is included in your hotel price. The local resturants are amazing, cheap, with friendly service. There is a 7/11 on the corner and a great little mall across the street with a wonderful grocery store and a Starbucks. My family and I will stay there again.

Great Location”

ibis bangkok riverside hotel is very accessible. from the airport we just ride the bts station to krung thonburi. from krung thonburi bts station the hotel is just another 5-10 minutes taxi ride. the hotel also offers free shuttle service to the bts station which is very convenient when you start your itinerary for the day. the rooms are clean and quiet. at the same time, you will have a nice view of the chao phraya river. moreover, the hotel staffs are very accommodating. they attended to our rooms requests, inquiry on places to visit and directions, and even talk to taxi drivers when they don't understand where we wanted to go. overall, our stay in ibis bangkok riverside hotel is very pleasurable and we will definitely book it again when we return to bangkok.

Great quality hotel by the riverside”

This was our second visit to the Ibis Bangkok Riverside. We arrived at the hotel at 9.00 am as we needed to avoid the demonstration in Bangkok. The friendly receptionist arranged for us to check-in which was appreciated as we only intended to leave our luggage until later. The room is an international model so when booking an Ibis hotel, you know exactly what you will get. We use the hotel to cruise the Chaophraya river and to visit the Asiatique market. The location of the hotel is really good and a fraction of the price of the other hotels riverside. The only negative is that the food by Thai standard is very expensive. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Choose right location”

After arriving at what I thought I had booked Ibis Bangkok riverside, I had booked the Ibis Sathorn which I had to stay one night. I had booked on the price of non cancelation, delighted to get money back but had to pay high price as the cheaper deals were not available then. Lesson learnt check location and if not sure go for the changeable rates. Love the Ibis Bangkok riverside and all there staff. Highly recommend check prices in advance for really good deals.

Comportable clean hotel by the riverside”

We stayed at the Ibis Riverside to visit the Asiatique, market and plaza. The hotel can be a little difficult to find but the easiest way we found is to take the BTS to Saphan Thaksin then turn left out of the station to catch a ferry boat across the river. After disembarking, walk to the main road, turn left and walk about 300 metres and you will see 7-eleven and signage for the Ibis hotel. By booking an Ibis hotel, you know the standard and layout of the room as they are basically the same design throughout the world. The location is excellent on the riverfront with a great pool and gardens. The greatest advantage of this hotel is the price (1600Baht) as most riverside hotels are normally three, four or five times this price. For anyone who likes Indian food, there is a a great restaurant on the main road. Turn left at the 7-eleven 50 metres. Visit the Sena Shopping Complex nearby (walking distance). The hotel also runs a free shuttle bus service to the nearest BTS station. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Chic hotel on the riverside”

Ibis Bangkok Riverside is a new operated hotel with the perfect location on the riverside of Bangkok. The design of the building and the rooms are nice. Plenty of car parking area we can find here. There is a nice swimming pool which we can see from our room (lucky that our room is on the correct side). The service is good and the staffs are friendly and polite. It is a good place to spend time for a holiday.

the room was sufficient enough for my husband and i and the room was very comfortable for a three star hotel. the receptionists were very friendly and helpful too. apart from that, they also never fail to put a smile on their faces. the room service was very efficient. the shuttle van to the bts sky train was very helpful for us to get to different shopping destinations. overall, i enjoyed my stay at ibis riverside bangkok and would definitely recommend it to all of my friends! keep it up ibis riberside bangkok!

Best 3 star hotel in Bangkok”

My 1 week stay at Ibis Riverside Hotel Bangkok was perfect from the day I arrived to the day I left. Check in took only 5 minutes or so,my room was very clean and contained everything I needed,it also overlooked the pool area and had partial view of the river. I found all the staff to be friendly and helpful and all of them spoke English. I liked everything about this hotel,the pool area had plenty of loungers and the pool itself was very clean,the restaurant was nicely laid out the food was good and reasonably priced. I take this opportunity to thank the management and staff for making my stay a memorable one and will be back in the near future.

Ease of Access”

If you are looking for hotel which located along the Chao Praya River with the reasonable price hotel, I would suggest this hotel "Ibis Bangkok Riverside", the hotel is located at Charoen Nakorn Road, everyday they provide with the shuttle bus to BTS station which take around 5 - 10 mins from the hotel. From the hotel, you can join and visit the sightseeing along the chao praya river and also visit the nice place in Bangkok also. Would recommend to stay here!!!!! at Ibis Riverside Bangkok

Improove the Wifi please!”

This is my 3rd time in ibis Bangkok Riverside. I love this hotel, the view is really amazing. I always book the river view room. But seriously ibis Bangkok Riverside need to improove the wifi connection. The poor connection always happen. The wifi connect and unconnect many times, is annoying. Beside that, everything is nice

This hotel is a great find. It is convenient and clean, with a helpful staff. It caters to an international clientele with accommodations to please everyone, even families with young children. The free breakfast was way above average with many choices for widely divergent tastes.And, the coffee, for this westerners tastebuds, was perfect. If you take a few minutes to orient yourself you will find that with a 5 minute walk you can,for 5Baht, take a one minute ferry across the Chao Phraya to the central ferry stop. There you may purchase a 150 Baht($4.50). all day "hop on hop off" ticket to ride the ferry. This will conveniently deliver you to many of the most important destinations in Bangkok.Don't miss this opportunity. Taxis are cheap, but very slow as Bangkok is, among other things, a giant endless traffic jam. Sorry to digress. The IBIS Riverside is a wonderful place . Makes a great home base for your adventure.Cheers

A very pleasant hotel. ”

we stayed two night at the ibis riverside hotel and we liked it very much. it was remote from the city noise, yet not too far. we enjoyed the view of the river at night. our daughter enjoyed the second floor of the double deck bed. the location of the hotel is not central, which can be seen as an advantage if you need your quiet or a disadvantage if you want to be right at the center (though bangkok has no one center, so wherever you stay you need to commute). at night, when river taxis do not work, we used taxis or tuk tuks in order to get to other places in town (100 to 150 bahts each direction). during the day, within few minutes walk we were at the pier and took a boat to the pier on the other side, from which river taxis can be taken to other locations, succ as wat pho or we could take a long boat to a khlong tour. less then 10 minutes walk could also take you to the train station (which we did not use). another advantage of the location: a minute walk from the hotel you can find local thai food stands with excellent food as well as a small market. we loved it. we recommend this hotel.

Very nice hotel, excellent service”

Very nice hotel, price-wise it was very affordable and unless you are in the city centre you will have to take a Tuk-Tuk into the city centre anyway. So why not chose an affordable and nice hotel at half the price just across the river?? The hotel is rather new, and located some 10-15 minutes from the city centre. We chose it because it was used by a couple of travel-bureaus back home. And price-wise it was worth booking it directly via agoda.com. We were welcomed by very hospitable and service-minded staff. By coincidence we had been given a room which was already occupied but the bellboy RAN downstairs and sorted it faster than we had time to wonder what happened... We stayed two nights and were able to only scratch the surface of the sight-seeing and the night life of Bangkok. We are definitely coming back. As this hotel is actually a nice little place with a pool by the riverside, clean rooms and friendly staff, we will stay here again next (this) year!

Great location for Thonburi itinerary”

Ibis Bangkok Riverside is one of the most convenient hotels on the Thonburi side of Bangkok, and gives you great value. It is new, clean and comfortable, so the cost is quite reasonable. They also have a 15-minute rule, where they promise to address any request or problem. Food is pleasantly authentic, and their riverside patio dining can be comparable to more upscale venues in terms of view and location.

Ibis hotels are reassuring in their comforting uniformity and uniform comfort but the Ibis Riverside is set apart by its fantastic and truly Thai neighborhood and the kindness of their staff. A young woman named Kitiya Kansiri, a night receptionist, showed both compassion and efficiency when I left some of my belongings in a taxi.She expressed genuine concern, took down my room number, and called my room immediately when the cab driver and the police appeared with my possessions. She and people like her lift this Ibis above the rest and make it a place I will be happy to return to--soon, I hope.

One night in Bangkok -- wish we had longer! ”

We stayed at Ibis Bangkok Riverside for one night before flying out of Bangkok. The hotel was nice, comfortable, and had a great breakfast. Great location by the river, with lots to see in walking distance and even more just a short tuk-tuk ride away. Definitely would recommend!

I always book the Ibis riverside for my family and friends that come to visit Bangkok. It's very well located and has a great swimming pool and garden on the river.
