WORTH THE STAY.. BUDGET-FRIENDLY HOTEL”

this is my second stay at Makkasan Hotel. Staff are accommodating and and with ready-smile to the customer like us. Cleanliness is maintain at the room as well as to the shared cafeteria at the ground floor. there's always a provision of complementary bottled-water and wi-fi connection is great. the building and rooms are seemingly old but it is apparent that it well-sustained and kept, thus the over all impressions is VERY CLEAN. I like to stay in this hotel whenever I intend to visit Bangkok again, cuz of the proximity to shopping centers like Platinum Plaza, a wallking distance to Paladium, Central World, the Market and moreso, if youre a bargain hunter, Pratunam Market is the answer which is a distance-throw away from Makkasan. Airport link to the Airport Suvarnibum is great at Ratchaprrarop.

Convenient, Comfortable and Clean”

we really enjoyed our stay at the makkasan inn. the staff were friendly and courteous. there was internet in the room. breakfast was very affordable. hotel rates were very reasonable. it was a mere 10-minute walk to the airport railway link station (ratchaprarop station). the airport line is also linked to the other city lrt which makes traveling within the city very convenient. there were 7-11 at every corner as well as affordable restaurants that offer delicious meals.

our stay was good. Makkasan Inn is situated in a location that is close to good and affordable food places. The possibility that I will stay in this hotel if ever I will visit Bangkok once again is 8 of 10 depending on the situayion.

Excellent Stay, Great Location.”

We stayed 3 nights and we are absolutely happy with the hotel. Our room was made up every day, sheets changed, toilet roll, soap,shampoo and cotton buds replaced. 2 water bottles free of charge. AC was excellent during the stay. TV was an old TV but we dont come to Bangkok to watch TV. Not quite but bearable. almost quiet when you shut all the windows down. No balcony but thats fine too. 7-11 and pharmacy just a few steps away. Ample of restaurant and massage centre. Less than a km away from Pratunam Market. Easy access from Don Mueang Airport. Just take the State Railway train will take you to Makkasan Station and it cost you less tha THB50 p/ person.

After booked a night via Agoda. I further stayed thru out my remaining days in Bangkok. Hotel staff are friendly and understanding. Housekeeper always smile at me whenever they see me. Despite I stayed another 2 days without telling them. They never disturb me regarding the payment. There's always a 'guard' near the entrance and open the door to welcome you. Room are spacious. Comfortable bed. Cooling quiet aircon. 2-3 min walk to the nearest 7-store. But have to walk out a long time to Ratchaprarop station. Can go to Praya Thai BTS station to move about. You're spoiled for food.. Too many food at reasonable price. Walk out to the main road has many street stalls. The road very small and always heavy traffic. Overall, it's very pleasure stay. Points to improve for Makkasan Inn 1) please improve the room lighting. It's very dark even in the board daylight. 2) offer more English/Chinese cable tv channels. 3) improve on the bathroom floor. (It's slippery when the floor is wet. 4) have tuk tuk service to nearest railway station. 5) on the outside, you can upgrade your hotel space. Like have a mini-bar or cafe. I believe Makkasan Inn can surely become a 4 star hotel if these are improve. Because your location is pretty good. Keep it up.

Clean and Value is Excellent”

The room is huge/spacious. Always cleaning everyday. It is near the restaurants, Pratunam market, Neon Market, The Malls.. The location is really good. Food outside in this hotel is super yummy esp the Tom Yang Noddles. Many small vendors also outside.

Lovely place near shopping area”

The staff were very very nice and helpful, the room is big and clean, the hotel itself is near pratunam market, platinum fashion mall, Central world and Big C like about 10-15 mins walk, the area fills with food, it's also very near to the airport raillink

Perfect place for shopping”

Pro: The room was clean and quite spacious, WiFi&AC worked well, bathroom looked old yet very clean, room was cleaned in daily basis, free mineral water everyday, walking distance to pratunam market, platinum fashion mall, central plaza, etc, 7eleven is just next door, many street foods and restaurants nearby. Cons: the receiptionist was not being informative on how to reach BTS from the hotel and location of the hotel is not close to any BTS. One of the nearest BTS is Phaya Thai. It can be reached by walking but in a very hot hour or after full-day walk I took motor taxi instead, since I travel alone (motor taxis are available everywhere - also in front of the hotel, you need to haggle though). Additional info: prepare 500 THB deposit when you check in

good location and staff very friendly”

I had a very nice stay at this hotel. It is centrally located for shopping and has good resturants within a short walk. While the rooms are small, with no view, it is quiet enough to get a good nights sleep. I would recommend the Makkasan Inn hotel as a very good value for money.

Its my second stay here in this hotel,which means that the place, staff, rooms are well maintained and accommodating. the hotel is a stone throw away from the known malls in bangkok such as Indra Square, Palladium, Platinum Plaza, the central WORLD and the mARKET.

Big room, staff are friendly”

The room is spacious! A quite place to stay over the night. ~10mins walk to Pratunam market, Neon night market and bus station back to Don Mueang airport. There are a lot of restaurants neary and food stalls during the night. Staff are friendly.

Everything ok. Best possible price/offer relation choice. Believe me, i was in 4 hotels in Bangkok over this month!

Safe and clean inn for short trips stay. If breakfast provided or included would be far great. Overall, nice inn to stay as it 's located strategically and cleanliness well maintain.

Simple and close to shopping centers”

The hotel is convenient if you are going shopping in Pratunam or MBK. The rooms are clean although a bit old, the hotel is next to a 7eleven and has a lot of food options around, it's about a 7 min walk to the sky train. Again great if you are going shopping and need a place to crash near by.

Best thing about this accomodation is the location. People complaining that it's 5-10min walk to BTS, I say thats great! 15 min walk to all the shopping malls, 7-11 on your doorstep, many food vendors on the road - perfect location. Room was very spacious! Biggest room i've stayed at in Thailand, with a massive Bed, i'd say king size, and the bed was comfy!!! First bed in Thailand that wasn't hard! Had a fridge so could store my own drinks etc in there. Always kept clean, house keeping daily, put the sign on your door handle if you don't want house keeping. Only downside in my opinion was the shower, would never stay hot/warm, would only last about 15 seconds then back to freezing cold for about 3 minutes, and then repeated. I will also mention the aircon, look like a modern machine but it lacked the temperature, i like a cold room so had it set to 16 degrees but definetely wouldn't get to that, felt like maybe the outside machine part may have been dusty clogging it up...

Will stay in this hotel again. Price per night is not expensive, worth it for the spacious room. No hair dryer and there is a need to deposit 500 baht per person

Clean and great location for business ”

I've stayed here many times before. It's clean and beds are comfortable. The staff are efficient. I had s problem and they were eager to sort it for me. I buy in Bangkok so this is s great location for the wholesale area. I've never had any food so can't comment although I did go up to see the restaurant one afternoon and I'm happy to give it a miss as its soulless. I'll be staying again next year.
