New experience in Bangkok hotel”

My first stay at Maruay Garden Hotel was a wonderful experience and I enjoyed stay very much. The internet facility is very effective & I was a able to do my business correspondents smoothly.Ideal location for business meeting, lobby environment is good.Plenty of convenient transport options to city. Overall it was a wonderful stay at Maruay & I would look forward to my next stay.

It's a good hotel”

I like the Maruay Garden hotel. It was very near to where a lot of the time I spent this trip was located, I also liked the fact that the main entrance was not free access to just anybody, there was a rolling gate. The hotels food was very good and tasty,and there was a small band area where my wife and I had dinner and listened to a woman sing.

Nice room and friendly front desk and support staffs”

Probably is a newly renovated hotel. Didnt expect such a good quality room. I would say is good value for money. Also like to apprciate and thanks the front desk and bell boy support. They are very helpfull and reflect professional in providing service to guest. Surpricingly the bell boy speak very good Chinese that make me so easy to ask for help. Forgot to ask for his name. Hope Hotel will reward him with my review. He has make my day staying in this hotel so easy. He also recommended me to use metered Taxi instaed of Grab. That save me quite a bit of money on the transfer to Chatuchak (67TB) and Airport (140TB) from this hotel. I am giving excellent rating for the stay in this hotel.

Good space but slightly tired decor”

maruay is good for a short business stay at cheap rates, or for travellers who need to be near chatuchak. the staff are pleasant and helpful, and the business area with iinternet is great. the only down side are slightly tired decor and aged grouting in the bathrooms, but for the price its good.

Maruay Garden Hotel Review”

We use Maruay Garden for short stays in Bangkok during our yearly Thailand Holidays since several Years. We often came back. We like the location of this hotel in a city accommodation with small shops and restaurant and a little park.The staff is very gentle and helps with little special requirement. The breakfast is great and various.

Excellent hotel, great room, very friendly staff ”

Suggest anyone travelling to Bangkok seriously considers staying at this hotel. Hotel room was spotless, restaurant offerred good selection of western & thai food at reasonable prices. Best selling point for the hotel was the willingness & professionalism of the staff. Everyone I had contact with was willing to be of assistance. A special thanks to the house keeping staff.We will almost certainly be booking in here again.

An excellent base for a short working visit to Kasetsart University”

For anyone involved with the university next door (Kasetsart), or with the many government departments and organisations nearby, this hotel is extremely convenient. The area generally is quite urban with not much retail, but immediately around the hotel there is a good range of local restaurants and convenience stores. The hotel restaurant is good enough, but there is more culinary interest nearby, for those on foot or using a car or taxi. As I need to swim for physical health, the large, well-maintained swimming pool was a great blessing. There is also good public transport nearby in the form of an overhead light-rail route and station. In principle, it is possible to reach the hotel from the main Bangkok airport by public transport (I used a taxi after getting a booking number from the official taxi queuing area outside the international arrivals area). An older, still functioning airport, Don Mueang, is a short taxi ride from the hotel.

Good Hotel but no free internet”

i had a good stay at the maruay garden, but what got to me was although it was quite expensive there was no free internet. i found other better hotels than this one with free internet access. if you are looking for comfort and nice hotel close to kasetsart university this is a alright option. good thing is the breakfast and staff.

Great value”

This really is a 4 star hotel offering conference facility, dining with live music, coffee bar and a pool/fitness complex. I guess that because it is situated in a non - tourist area, it is used more as a business hotel. Consequently, in 2 weeks I only ever shared the pool with my wife. The staff were attentive, efficient and extremely courteous. At a price of just over £30 a night for a large double room, how could we possibly complain!

Good hotel, friendly service”

if you want to be on this side of town, the maruay is a good option. its also not far from the sky train to make getting into town easier. my only real gripe is that wifi is not free. i feel as if for the price range, wifi should be included, and i probably wouldn't have booked the room if i'd realized that in advance. but if you don't care about wifi, the room prices seem reasonable for what you get.

Good location for Apothecary, wedding venue”

This was a short walk from the wedding venue, as the wedding started at 07:00am most guests stayed here to avoid the traffic. Quite a large hotel, the room was spacious and clean, much better than some reviews suggested. We had an evening meal and breakfast in the two days we stayed. Breakfast was a bit limited for western visitors but otherwise okay

Good hotel around several universities”

I have stayed at this hotel eight times over the past three years. I have always enjoyed being there. The American breakfast is excellant. For those who speak English only, there is no trouble communicating with the staff; if they don't understand English, they will find someone who does. The staff is always friendly and accomodating; always trying to please the guest. The bathrooms have a bathtub for those who want a change from showers. The hotel has many features to offer from dining areas to a special pastry, Wi-Fi, business computer area and other features that many travelers look for and often need.

Excellent value with the best staff. ”

This hotel had everything I needed and more. An excellent hotel I would highly recommend. If I were to find any fault, it would be that the location, although it worked in my situation, was a bit far from points of interest. Most of the staff is very limited in English speaking. If it is important for you to speak in English I would recommend asking for management which have a better understanding in English. Again, this is an excellent hotel, in a Nice area, with great staff.

Must have been great once”

The hotel is very old and could be a bit better kept. There was nothing of consequence nearby except the Temple to which I was going for a funeral. The breakfast buffet at the coffee shop was OK but the food from the menu during the evening was decidedly better. The Karaoke singers (a woman with a good soprano voice and good English accent and a Man at the piano with a strong baritone voice and good English) at the lounge in the evening were very good and entertaining. This, apart from the friendly reception staff was the best part of the stay there. My room was comfortable though the bed was quite as soft as I would prefer. The bathroom was clean and well kept although the hot water pressure at the sink was extremely weak for shaving but excellent hot water pressure in the shower. I think the hotel, over all, was good but a bit too expensive for a place that old. I would stay there again only if my business took me back to that particular area of Bangkok.

Comfortable hotel near university.”

This was a conference venue hotel. We had a nice room - the fixtures, furniture, and bedding were a little older - but clean and comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The pool is beautiful - but no one used it. The gym is large and does the job - but the equipment is old and the AC does not work well in the gym and no windows will open. The local area has nice restaurants, coffee shops, and easy access to the bus system to the subways and downtown. I would recommend this hotel to people needing to be near the university. One small annoyance is the wifi password system - the password changes every 24 hours and is 10-15 characters long (numbers, symbols, etc) and you have to get it from the front desk and you have to log in every single time you access the wifi. Keep that little slip of paper with you!!

Very good hotel”

It's the nearest hotel to my school, however I think it's the best one. Nice room; beds ok.; and the breakfast (included) is perfect. Thai as well as European food. Incidentally I have to go for my study to Bangkok and I always stay at this hotel.

Nice place with easy access to transportation”

We were here for business trip in Bangkok. The hotel is very convenient to go into the city. The breakfast was tasteful. There were several attractions nearby, especially for shoppers. The Jatujak market is where you could find almost everything is about few kilometers away.

Still underrated”

This is always such a good deal. The hotel offers everything for an urban setting from good restaurant to totally underused pool. I invariably have the pool to myself or share with my wife. The staff are very courteous, although a little more understanding of English would be helpful in my case. It really is great value for money.

Great value hotel with comfortable room”

i came for a business trip at kasetsart university and this place is a perfect place to stay. good price with clean and spacious room. you can travel to the city by bus and connecting to bts or mrt just few kilometers away. besides there are plenty of tasty dining places nearby (kaset-navamin rd.)
