Miramar - value for money”

The hotel has excellent rooms, furnished in a modern tasteful way. The staff was very friendly and helpful.
There was no information in the rooms. The television had limited channels in English

On the border of the Old Town and China town, the hotels lies close to a great deal of key attractions of Bangkok, many of them within walking distance. The hotel is clompletely renovated in a modern, pleasant style. We had a very spacious junior suite, that has two large double beds and a separate sitting space. Air condition can be adjusted separately in the two parts. There were fresh flowers every day. The hotel provides excellent breakfast buffet, but unfortunately this is not cheap, at least in comparison to alternatives nearby. It would be good if the hotel would include breakfast (at a discount) in its room price. Very close to the hotel are a number of shopping malls (China center, Siam center) with excellent possibilities for eating apart from shopping. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The hotel is used a lot by business people as it has special meeting rooms, but we can recommend it too for tourists who want good higher middle range quality.

Lovely hotel friendly staff”

Comfort of the room. Friendly and helpful staff. Close to temples and river.

We loved our stay at miramar. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel has a fairly good location as it is not far from china town. It is not close to the sky train, or the underground however, so you will need to get a taxi. The food was delicious, and the restaurant is open 24 hours. Staff were happy to help with any questions we had and were honest and genuine. We would stay here again.

Satisfied Customer”

I arrived at 5 am in the morning and had requested an early check in for 8am. I was able to go to my room at half 5 for no extra charge, it was great and so helpful. Receptionists were so helpful and friendly for my whole stay. Room was basic but nicer then i expected for price i paid, so clean, great air-con, gorgeous bed and linen. Room was serviced everyday so i came home to clean sheets and towels each evening, absolutely Fab.

Quiet but VERY central location. Rooms are so clean and they are serviced everyday with clean sheets and towels.Mini bar is well stocked and not overpriced. Cannot stress how clean my room was. Receptionists were nice and friendly and answered all my questions as best they could they let me check in at 5.30 am which was very early and really nice of them. Restaurant M in the hotel was lovely, i only ate in it once but the prices were the same as other restaurants i ate in on my stay in Thailand. Food was really tasty too. Although I never ate breakfast in the hotel. Hotel is only 15/20 min walk or 3 min taxi to Koshan Rd and it is also in close walking distance to all tourist attractions like the Night Markets and the Grand Palace, Also it is located right beside china town which is something different to do. Would definitely stay here again and i would highly recommend others to stay here, its quiet yet central.

Satisfied staying here”

it was really good to stay here, nice staffs (i think this is the hotel with the best customer service), good facilities, delicious foods. the hotel is near from chinatown, main temple, and 10 min to khaosan road by taxi. but sadly, many taxi drivers didnt know the name of the hotel,we sould show the map and tell the hotel is in mahachai road (speaking it in thai accent), and they know burapha hotel rather than miramar hotel,so you should tell the driver that miramar hotel is next to burapha hotel and in mahachai road (with thai accent). But overall the hotel is good. i'll stay in this hotel if i come back

What an awesome hotel !”

Hospitality

We travelled in a group of 8, so we booked 2 Deluxe rooms, 4 people in a room. The hospitality of the front office staff, the house keepers, the restaurant staff... everyone... They are so friendly and polite. The hotel is clean, and the location is close to China town, walking distance. And if you want to go to somewhere else, you can easily grab the taxi out of the hotel. It's a very good hotel in a great location with a reasonable price. So, if you are travelling to Thailand, don't miss this hotel. We do suggest you to choose this one!!

Super hotel ”

Ok, maybe this hotel is not in the centre of tourist attractions, but within 10 min walk you reach everithing - the China Town, the Little India, the Grand Palce and laying Buddha... Within 5 min you have some foodstalls, shopping markets and food shops. The hotel is really huge, with huge foyer and lobby. The staff are kind, smiling and helpful. The room is huge also, with big bathroom. The only thing I do not like, that you need to throw away the toilet paper to the basket, not to the toilet - but this is in all Thailand I see after. The room was cleaned every day, the towels changed every day. I love the hard bed (I know, some people in recommendation do not love it) and sleep well. The breakfast was tasty, you can choose from many dishes. Highly recommend this hotel for longer stay, too.

Good Hotel”

Near shopping and reasonable price

the miramar bangkok hotel is new and comfortable because it is the older hotel that was renovated so it is new and clean. we like to reserve by using agoda because if i reserve by the miramar bangkok hotel itself, it is near a lot of market such as chinese market, kongthom, sapanlek, pahurat market, sampheng market, and overnight saturday market so you can shop for electrical appliances, clothes, toy, cd, dvd, tape , food , and other things that you want so it is easy to keep the purchased things and go on shopping..

The Hotel is so nice with big spacious room for an affordable price. Streetfoods, mall, souvenir shops are just a walk away. I appreciated also the car driver which took us to the Floating market & Pattaya. He's Assan or Hassan, i'm sorry which is the right spelling of his name. The staff were so friendly & approachable just like us Filipinos. Thank you Miramar Hotel for a wonderful experience we had in your place. We will be back!

Very comfortable and easy stay for our first nights in Thailand

When first arriving in Bangkok we wanted to make our transition as easy as possible and wanted to stay somewhere nice. This hotel had a wonderful value for the money we paid and was well within our budget since booking through agoda, in fact we liked our stay so much we decided to stay another 2 days which the staff at miramar were more than happy to oblige.

Great Hotel & Great Room”

Rooms are big, clean.

Was staying at Miramar Hotel for three nights during my stay at Bangkok. This hotel is located at Bangkok China town area and is very close to Grand Palace and Wat Pho temple. You may also visit this very special park just opposite the hotel, specially during the morning and evening, local people will hang around at this park. What so special of this park? This park was renovated from ex Bangkok Prison, the guard tower and some ex-prison feature still remaining there.

The staff were friendly and helpful. easy distance to various sites. Room was fine, good size, clean. Easy internet system with prepaid vouchers. Restaurant, good service and food.
TV in the room didn't have much choice

I have stayed many times in Bangkok but never in China Town. I liked the area and it was an easy and interesting walk to many historic sites. The hotel staff were very pleasant and always helpful. Sometimes it was difficult to explain where Miramar was to taxi drievrs but thats no surprise. Generally a really enjoyable trip, I extended my visit and would go back again.

Excellent service.”

A very comfortable hotel with a very impressive buffet breakfast
Very much a modern slightly impersonal hotel

It was a relief to get to the Miramar after a long flight and we did appreciate the spaciousness and cleanliness of the room. The Miramar is very much a modern hotel with all that that implies, that is to say a rather impersonal decor. This lack of warmth was more than made up for by the helpfulness of the staff.

Very nice hotel and great prices”

Great price, friendly staff, close to main sight seeing spots

we enjoyed our stay at the miramar, the hotel was clean, the staff friendly and well located for visiting the main temples: wat pho (reclining buddha), grand palace & wat phra kaew, chao praya river. be carefull when looking at a map, bangkok is not easy to navigate as the street names keep on changing as you walk along them. for this main reason, taxi drivers have a little difficulty finding it, even with a map, make sure that you follow the road and indicate them where to turn to find it. this hotel is practical for visiting the main sights, but there are no restaurants close by, you have to walk down to chinatown for some street food.

Good location, good restaurant with comprehensive menu, friendly helpfiul staff.

we were recommended the miramar by our son who had stayed there. it is a no frills, perfectly adequate hotel and we were totally happy with the room, the service and the help we were given with storing luggage etc., while out sight-seeing. the hotel staff were very helpful and friendly. the restaurant staff really looked after us & provided us with a delicious dinner & also a good breakfast the next morning. we were close enough to walk to various attractions, such as beautiful temples & also the market situated nearby it was easy to book a taxi at the hotel & the taxi service to the airport was excellent. we would recommend the miramar to others and will definitely stay there again on our next trip to thailand.

Old Hotel at the end of the road.”

Location only

We were here because the offer of the junior suite cheap price for 4 of us. Location is good for people willing to walk far and long distance. Yes it still in China town but at the end of the famous area, surrounding is dusty, small pedestrian, with busy high speed cars on the big road. Difficult to cross the road to get taxi, but tuk tuk always stand by at the front. 80 bath to Khao San area, for 4 of us. Breakfast better not to buy, but no option, all rooms included. very basic and not a good chef hired. For dinner go to a night spot food street at the big cross road near by, turn right from hotel entrance and just walk straight ahead. If you after shopping then turn left go to direction to famous river of Bangkok, pass the small shopping mall, at the left look for the sign "walking street China Town " and go inside the market. this is real Chinatown of Bangkok. Staff is good, and one man, speak Chinese, the concierge is very helpful. One tour operator and taxi service, is very helpful. Room is standard, not like a hotel, we took junior suite, 4 bed and dusty, not really prepared for guest. Bathroom outdated, should renovated. But overall everything still function. If you want to taste the Chinatown of Bangkok I recommend to stay outside the area and take tuk tuk to come here, no point to stay at the area. Night life is not "life" and the atmosphere is not cherish and happy.

Nice, clean hotel ”

Nice interior design, close to the attractions

Good stay in this hotel. My family feel great. The large park opposite the hotel is beatiful. At night, we walked to China town for diner. From my room, I see the new MRT or Skyline station is in construction. So it will be great when completed as you can get easy to centre of Bangkok from the hotel. The hotel close to Bankok central (40-50bth from the hotel to centre, 100 bth to Donmuang)

Average Hotel in Bangkok”

Clean, good water pressure in the shower, restaurant food

Some friends and I stayed at the Miramar while competing in the Bangkok marathon, and we chose the hotel based on its location close to the starting line. The hotel was basic, nothing more, nothing less. The room was clean, but could definitely use a spruce up. The bed was rather firm, but the shower had excellent water pressure. I did not get the breakfast included option, but we ate dinner at the restaurant the night before and the two Thai dishes I had were tasty. The area directly around the hotel seemed to have very little nightlife. It was around a 10 minute walk to the Grand Palace and the starting line, very manageable. All in all, our stay at the Miramar served its purpose, but I wouldn't go rushing back. There are nicer hotels in Bangkok for a similar price, in more convenient and entertaining locations.
