fantastic location and vibe”
Not the flashiest or most comfortable of places (the beds were a bit hard and wobbled when bunkmates moved), but Niras Bankoc has a unique, vintage vibe, friendly staff and by far the coolest little cafe that has decent coffee and is a great place for meeting, eating and drinking with fellow travellers from around the world.

great hostel in Bangkok”
Arrived at Niras straight off an overnight flight and it was a great hostel to begin a 6 week trip in. The hostel is a lovelt building and We opted for one of the double rooms with shared bathrooms. Slept very well and the showers were always hot! The staff were great in helping us with where to go, how to get there and tuk tuk prices making our 1st few days as easy as possible. Would definitely stay here again and recommend it to other travellers.

Wonderful hostel, amazing staff”
Staff at Niras are the best I've ever encountered. I've stayed here several times during my travels in Thailand (2012, 2014) and their advice and conversation alone is worth the stay. Great phad Thai place across the road, and the people who stay here are generally very nice and open. The hostel is clean and has great Thai character. Too bad there are so many British people though.

Hands-down a Favorite in Bangkok”
Been to Niras few times and has remained my favorite to spend couple days in the city. The staff are just wonderful with vast knowledge in transportation and sights to see. Quiet compared to other hostels which makes it a perfect laid-back place to chill and meet like-minded travelers.

Good Hostel Near the Temples”
Niras has good design that vibes well with its "cultural" atmosphere. The staff is very helpful and speaks good English. The hostel has a vintage feel so expect creaking cabinets and doors. The only downside is breakfast not being free like most hostels.

Beautiful historic B&B”
I’ve stayed here a few years ago with friends and again with my wife and small child. Niras is a perfect place for any Bangkok trip.

An easy, short stay”
If you've got strong legs, this hostel is within walking distance from Khaosarn, Pahurat (Indian Town), and Yaworat (China Town). It's easy to access via boat (Pratunam to Phan Fah) and there are quite a few cheap, tasty restaurants on the same road.

Cute hostel with good coffee ”
The staff were definately the highlight of my stay here, they were very helpful and so nice. Close to Kho San Road (15 min walk) and short taxi ride away to other attractions. Good wifi. Comfy dorm rooms and big lockers. One annoying thing the top bunks are up way to high, also the top lockers are up to high to lift your bag into. not a big deal though. I ended up booking an awesome hotel room close to the airport on my last night for an early morning flight which was the same cost as the dorm room but my own massive room with air con etc etc. Great hostel though.

Great value”
i stayed here for four nights in june. i came to bangkok by myself and this hostel was a great place to meet other people. the first night i arrived the dormitory was fully booked (americans, kiwi, australians), but the other three nights there were just one/two other people in the room. i didn't try the food at the hostel, so i can't comment on it. the hostel is very clean; however, there is a bad smell coming from the pipes upstairs. also, i wasn't expecting there to only be cold showers. i wouldn't even call them lukewarm, so just be forewarned. the hostel is very close to the golden mount, so be sure to visit to get a 360-degree view of bangkok. the hotel staff were very friendly and had little printouts with the thai name and address of common places that tourists want to visit.

lovely staff and cozy enviroment ”
my original plan was to stay there for 2 nights but i end up with stayed there for 4 nights. This is my first hostel experience and i enjoyed staying there. the location is good, walking distance to the Grand Plaze and Sleeping Budda, esay to get the food, and i usually take a taxi to the nearest BTS station by spending around 80B. Staffs there are very sweet and helpful and friendly, very informative as well,in general i will consider to stay there again if i travel back to BKK.

Lovely!”
Absolutely wonderful staff. Very clean and the location is nice. Far enough away from Khao San Road but still close enough to walk. Their cafe downstairs sells different coffees and teas from 50-65 baht depending on hot or iced. And breakfast is around 80 baht if I remember correctly. I was a solo traveler and found it fairly easy to meet people here. Not a party hostel though so if that's what you are looking for, look elsewhere.

Classic nice building and friendly and supportive staffs”
I was quite satisfied with the building and staffs. When I come to Bangkok next time, I will choose this hostel again.

Amazing place!”
Super clean and the staff is the friendliest I've met during my 2 months in Thailand. The bathrooms are great and the coffeebar downstairs is really cozy. You can walk to all the downtown tourist attractions, the furthest one is about 25 minutes away. The only thing that I found a little annoying was the fact that a lot of people arrived at night and left the next day to catch their flight, but of course, this is not the fault of the hostel.

Excellent place to stay”
this was my second time in that place. it is one of the best hostels i've ever stayed. the rooms are very clean and the beds bouncy. they provide you towels, shampoo and shower gel for free. it is 15 minutes walking distance to kaosan road, so if you are looking for party, this is no the place.

Nice place with a great vibe”
This is a very nice hostel. It was very clean and modern. It is beautifully decorated and the staff is very friendly. It is not on Kohsan Road but the walk to get there is not bad at all. I would definitely stay here again. In fact I recommended it to friends that were traveling a few days behind me and they loved it too.

Excellent”
This hostel is in a fantastic location. 15 min walk to khoa San rd , across the street from two Michelin star places, 15-20 min walk to the sights. Use grabs they are cheaper than tuk tuks. The staff was amazing the building is older but semi updated. It could be better updated but it has a charm to it. I really recommend

Clean place, great staff, lovely atmosphere.”
Fantastic place. No complaints except the internet could be better for what you're paying. But all in all, one of the best hostels I've stayed at. Staff are on your side, really helpful and nice.

I stayed in a 6 bed female dorm. I didn't expect high standards for some reason, but the hostel was clean, comfortable & in a great location.
