Excellent location, high currency exchange and huge rooms”

True Siam Phayathai Hotel is very close to train stations, malls, small restaurants and King Power duty free. It's just a short ride to mega malls like Siam, Platinum and Big C. Their in-house currency exchange has the best rate compared to money changers in the city. Their staff is so accommodating and kind. Their rooms are huge! It's just a small hotel but very homey. The architecture is traditional Thai.

My to-go hotel - True Siam@Phayathai”

My first time visiting Bangkok was in August 2018. We stayed at True Siam Phayathai and we were happy :) This year, we stayed at the same hotel and i feel happy as a returning customer. Things that i mentioned in my 1st review: 1. Poor to average of Internet speed@2018 -> Its now improved (not to a very fast one but i would say its usable (at least streaming video from 2 devices) 2. Average breakfast@2018 -> Its slightly improved where i can get some bread/sausages, fried noodles. No complaint for me as i am going to enjoy Bangkok street foods anyhow :) Something that i need to highlight to the hotel management here: The breakfast time is from 6:30am till 10:30am. However, i am not seeing any food refill starting at 10am even with customers sitting there. I did ask for refil, but the staff is not responding until i need to head over to the reception desk and inform them. This needs improvement! 3. Budget Traveler Review”

Me and my wife stayed at True Siam and our experience was just fine. You have to understand that this is a great budget hotel. The rooms are clean, breakfast was good, staff was very warm and helpful (several times I was being helped with map and recommendations around town). Things to be aware of, location is close to BTS skytrain and nearby market/hangout area. But sometimes it is hard for taxi cab drivers to find, so you have to navigate them there. That wasn’t a terrible issue but be aware. The lobby is very minimalist with like 4 seating chairs and nothing else really. We were out all day exploring so only really slept at the hotel. Breakfast buffet is good (250 baht per person, not terribly expensive but not terribly cheap either). In the end, if you looking for a place to stay while exploring Bangkok on a budget, I would recommend this hotel to you. I wouldn’t recommend this if you looking for luxury feel or a lot of amenities.

Very nice place and great location!”

5 min from the end station of the airport link and from the BTS, which makes a good connection to everywhere you want to head. The hotel is really nice, the breakfast delicious with a good choice of thai and continental meals. The staff nice and helpful. I booked a standard room, but it was not available at my arrival, so they upgraded me to a superior room without extra money. It was for me a great option for a one-night-stay before my flight back home, and wanted to enjoy a bit Bangkok, but in the future, I will definitely go back to True Siam for more days exploring the city.

3 nights stay”

Stay on 19, 22 and 23. After the 19 july we went chiang mai, hotel is kind enough to let us store our luggage since we are coming back on 22 july for another 2nights stay. Location is pretty far from phayathai station. Hidden in an alley, very difficult to get taxi or uber/grab during peak hours. Hotel staff do help to call for taxi, he have to walk out of the alley to the main road to ask the taxi to come in. Usually it means they will give us a fix price, we have to pay more, unable to negotiate for a better price or go by meter. Besides location problem, the hotel is pretty nice. The overall design is very traditional thai to me, very nice just as shown in the picture. Our family room with balcony was very very very big! I chose this hotel for this room and it never disappoint me. Shower cap, tooth brush, soap, brush, hair dryer all provided. Nothing more to ask for. Bed was comfortable. Fridge is proper household size and not the mini bar type. Comes with microwave and water boiler. Very satisfied. If not for the location(hidden in alley), i would come back again for the big spcaious room!

Fourth time at this hotel”

This was the fourth time my wife and I stayed at this hotel, and I've just booked another visit this month. My wife and I travel to Bangkok from Hua Hin at least once a month and only discovered this True Siam and its partner on Soi 8 about 3 months ago. I wish we had found it 2 years ago! Though it's a bit more expensive than the hotel where we stayed previously (in Sukhumvit), the rooms are so much bigger and better and the location is so very good for BTS access etc. We will definitely stay here again and again and would recommend this hotel to others.

Amazing first trip to BKK”

True Siam is an amazing place - well worth your money with the very friendly and attentive staff, large and comfortable bedrooms, and great service. Though it doesn't have the trappings of a big hotel like a pool and spa service, it's great if you're simply looking for a good place to rest and eat. It's easily accessible by the airport rail link and skytrain (five minute walk!) which is a major plus, especially for first timers in Bangkok. I'll definitely be staying here again.

Fresh room and nice staff. Centrally located.”

Me and two of my friends stayed at True Siam for three nights, in a large bedroom, and because we were three, they did not hesitate to give us an extra bed, that was very comfortable. Overall we were very satisfied. The view from the balcony was really cool, you could see the tall building of central world just a few blocks away. The hotel is located very close to the airport line AND the BTS, so getting around was no problem. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The area around felt very safe, even though it was located in a small side street. The only thing I could complain about was the bus parking outside the window, the noise was not very pleasant. And the internet was really bad in our room, though I think it was just a broken router, it was great down in the lobby. I could really recommend this hotel. Especially if you want to go shopping in the big malls. It takes some time to go to Kaosan road but a motorcycle taxi is very cheap.

good service; location is okay”

True Siam Hotel is located 5-10 minutes away from Phaya Thai BTS station and the airport line. Our room was large and even had a terrace (compared to other standard rooms we've stayed in throughout East and Southeast Asia). They gave out free water bottles everyday. Buffet breakfast spread was good :) We'd prefer to stay near Siam Station or Pratunam area next time though.

Value for money”

It was a great experience to stay True Siam hotel. It's only 5 mins to walk from BTS Phaya Thai (the end of airport rail link) or BTS Victory Monument. Rate is cheap compared with quality and conditions in hotel. Staff is friendly and useful. 7/11 and street food is everywhere. Hotel address is also easy to find with taxi driver or tuk tuk, so no need to be afraid of lost anytime. I will stay here when I come back and recommend to others coming in Bangkok.

Great location and transportation”

The hotel is located in a center of bangkok, The victory monument. Although location crowded with people, It's quite quiet because located in alley. When you stay here, It's easy to go everywhere in bangkok and surrounding area because it's near BTS station(either Victory monument or Phayathai station) in 10 minutes on foot. Phayathi airport raillink in 10 minutes on foot. And also Van and bus station at the victory monument. Moreover, It's comfortable to dining and hanging out around there.

i have nothing but good comments to say about this hotel. the place is well kept, and all in a thai teak-wood constructions style, which has a great feeling to it. the room was basic, but huge. a huge bed that was super comfy, tons of open space, a nice walk-in shower, a balcony (not that i used it, but if people are smokers they have a place to go i guess), an in-room safe, plus a nice touch with free coffee you can make in your room. not that i would, as it's that package nescafe stuff, and they have an espresso machine in the outdoor restaurant/cafe right outside. the staff were also just amazing. the guys from the philippines working there were super polite and efficient, even in the face of two super obtuse chinese guys who didn't think they should have to pay for the beer they drank from the mini bar. respekt, yo!!! lol finally, the wifi is free, super fast, and reliable. overall, an amazing place. the hotel is also very close to the airport express line, which is kind of behind bts praya thai. so it's a few minutes walk, then a 17 minute ride direct into the airport. and for shoppers, the bts is just a few stops from siam -- which has paragon and a ton of other shopping places. my only negative point was that the late check-out fee was kind of crazy. you can only stay 4 hours. but i do understand why -- the maid staff leaving, the fact that this hotel has become very popular, etc. but still, if availability exists, it would be a nice touch to offer the late checkout at a lower price for people with super late flights out. still, that's a tiny point. it's safe to say i have no complaints at all about this hotel.

Good base location”

First stay at True SIam. Found the hotel to be a good base for a stay in Bangkok. Phaya Thai Skytrain Station is a short walk. Plenty of local shops for low cost Thai eating and shopping. We would be happy to return on our next trip to Bangkok.

Lovely hotel and service with a smile”

Well,everything satisfied and feel great with True Siam Hotel except Booking matter. The problem is we had left a message at special requested at Agoda website to reserve for transportation fetching us from air port to hotel but was happened that nobody there to pick us up at that time was 11.30 night time. We felt unsatisfied for the booking, anyway we did got a expensive Taxi worth 950 Thai Bath per trip to hotel.

Great Hotel”

I really enjoyed by stay at True Siam hotel! The rooms were surprisingly large, with a very nice balcony in the room I stayed in. There was a fridge, and water heater for tea. The room was extremely clean, and felt very comfortable! There were even some English channels on the TV! :)

I have stayed here before, which is why I chose True Siam Hotel again. Perfect location a short walk from the sky train, peaceful and quiet, and amazing staff. They have an awesome restaurant, and there are so many other amazing food places only a short walk from the hotel.
