great place to study and have fun”
I spent a month at A 9 place while complete and advanced skills course for my employment. I couldn't recommend the hotel more to anyone spending more than a few days in Chiang Mai. The staff were all very helpful with any and all request; including an airport pickup and even the owner driving me into town one night after waiting for, what she felt was too long, a tuk tuk to arrive. I had breakfast every morning in the small cafe and the food was so good more often than not i would have diner there as well. The quiet location suited my needs very well, but if you are going to be going into Chiang Mai often I would recommend renting a scooter during your time there , something the hotel will be happy to arrange for you. All in all I recommend the hotel for anyone looking for a quieter area to come home to after visiting all the attraction in the busy downtown. I hope to return soon and often.

lovely place”
A9 Place is a lovely hotel, a little bit far from Chiang Mai center (about 5 minutes by Tuk Tuk)but still a great place where to stay. tha staf is very kind and helpful, the location is calm and quite, and the restourant is lovely. they serve good food in a small but nice garden. if you go to Chiang Mai, but you want relax and peace, A9 is the place for you

Lovely hotel, lovely staff, a bit far out though”
When we arrived at A9 we were greeted with a lovely welcome and shown to our room. After a long flight it was a relief to find the rooms were a good size, clean and comfortable. We stayed in 2 rooms during our stay both of a high standard and were cleaned everyday. The staff of A9 really made it a pleasurable stay, giving us advice on where to go and how to get there. On our last day we even went out bowling with Mon the receptionist who then took us to the temples tourists dont see, which was a really lovely way to spend our last day in Chiang Mai. A9 is quite far out from the centre and the only way to get there is tuktuk which going both ways even once a day can add up. You can get cheaper accommodation in the centre- we looked but we really enjoyed staying in A9,despite the inconvenient location. The food in the cafe next door was lovely, if not slightly over priced but down the road were several local places to eat which were amazing and soo cheap. There was a computer for public use but it did also have Wifi. The Tv had plenty of English channels.

Friendly and nice, but far from center”
i made the stay in this hotel close to perfect by renting a motorbike, which made the hotel 10 minutes away from the old city. otherwise you'll need a tuk-tuk, because the distance to the center is 1 hour of walking. the room view is very nice. the place is quiet and the air is fresh. hotel restaurant is pricey although comparable with other venues offering breakfast. i enjoyed my stay and my come again, the price/quality is unbeatable here!

Great hotel,nice people”
When I stay there, everything I felt good, except a little bite noise at night, because my room was face the roadside, motorbikes and cars past by,made some noise.I couldn't sleep,I told the reception girl, she changed my right away. And the hotel has ketch and washing machine, you will feel like your home.

A9”
The hotel was a very cute place. The staff was the best part about it. When the tour we booked didn't pick us up, the owner and one of the hotel workers drove us over an hour through the mountains to get there. The hotel has a nice out door seating area and a nice garden. It is vey quiet and a nice place to relax. It would be more convenient for our short trip to stay closer to town, but overall, I would recomendations this hotel.

a9”
As soon as we arrived, the staff came outside to welcome us, excellent English and couldn't do enough to help from start to finish. If you don't mind renting a bike then location is not a problem, otherwise ride on a tuk tuk, Breakfast for a set, good food, night is al a carte , maybe a little small but order two and your happy, drinks around for 3 large leo beers. if you like good service then this is the place for you!

Beautiful view from my balcony.”
nice place to stay and removed from the "tourist" area. taxi fare to anywhere was expensive. i noticed tuk-tuk drivers charged higher prices to foreigners/tourists v. locals. i asked hotel staff to arrange a "metered" taxi for me and when it arrived, the driver refused to turn on the meter. hotel staff seemed to support this arrangement. hundreds of tiny little ants moved in with me the 3rd night - not sure why, no food was out for them.

A9 place is like a budget self-service apartment ”
It was pleasant, easy to get around if you are driving. The hotel has parking spaces for guests. Away from the city central yet easy access to the convenient one needed. Tesco super mart is not far. Bed is comfortable. Hot shower is good. Free wifi and access to international channels. It's in a quiet neighbourhood that is good for sleep.

Too far away”
The hotel is in the middle of a field out of nowhere about 4 km from the center of the city. You have to walk 500m to get to a huge highway to even catch a cab. And you have to go across this highway to reach some minimal action. Lots of errand dogs between the hotel and the center making it scary to roll around in bike at night. Room was ok but the hotel is surrounded by barking dogs making lots of noise. Plus I think they were fleas in my bed, got this feeling of being bitten all night long so I slept finally in my own sleeping sheet. Also it is poorly insulated for noise which means you hear everything in the alley or in the rooms beside (and they can hear you). Looks cheap but not even there are way better deals cheaper (nice quiet double room for or ) in the center in small hostel. Some are not on the web. Just walk around and see.

NIce and friendly people, very clean!”
Excellent and nice service, lobby personal friendly and helper. Rooms are super, as I was paying a really budget price, but really far away from the old town for me, cause transportation is mandatory a least you going walking to the road where the tuk tuk, taxi and other service.

Uneasy”
It's doing renovation currently,so it's quite a mess all over .we've used to stayed here before and found it was a not bad hotel that's why we came back .but unfortunately for this time we just feel like want to get off the hotel as soon as we could,it was dusty all over, the room is smelly, but hopefully after it renovated it'll get back to the previous pleasant, quiet hotel we used to experienced

Budget hotel”
So so hotel and room. Kind of self service. Staff didn't care you much which I didn't mind cos the price for triple room was unbeatable. It is convenient to go to city centre, if You got a car, though the carpark is quite small. I don't recommend for a party person since the place is quiet(which I like) and nothing much to do and eat.

Cosy and homely”
definitely will stay here again. All the services and amenities are available and if they are not, you can always get the staff to help. They are most friendly and yet unobtrusive. You can also easily rent a motorbike to move around. Plenty of parking here. Having my morning coffee in the wonderful garden is really heavenly. You can hear birds chirping all morning. Although its a distance from city centre, you wouldn't mind for the peace and quiet you get.

Nice little hotel slightly out of the way. Nice and quiet. Friendly staff, who will give advise and help with tours or just call the type of transport you want.

Decent place for a night or two”
I had a simple fan room. It was basic with no fridge, but it was quiet and comfortable. The staff were nice and helpful. The transgendered day staff member, "A," was a bit diffident and spoke little English, but got the job done. The location wasn't very good, but I had a motorbike so no problem. Decent breakfast.
