Acceptable for a few days”

Hub53 Hip Hotel was a good choice for a short visit to Chiang Mai. The location was good, in walking distance from the trendy Nimmanhaemin Road, yet not so close that it was too loud or crowded. That being said, it is not a good location if you're interested in the Old town/town center. The rooms were alright, though the furniture was somewhat broken and peeling, and the bed not very comfortable. No windows, besides a small one in the very back hallway. Basics like towels were not very nice— for instance our towels were full of holes and the edges were torn. The communal space outside the rooms was nice, though. The staff didn't always seem to be interested or available. For instance, when I arrived, I had to wait almost an hour before someone came to check me in. If you're checking in, make sure you have access to a phone with a Thai Sim card, as, otherwise, you won't be able to get in touch with the hotel to allow you to enter the hotel. At other times, when I had problems or needed assistance, the staff was nowhere to be found.

It is convenient for me to get there and the hotel is so clean with the useful space for us. By the way, it is suitable with its cheap price

Good value and location.”

There's nothing particularly outstanding as you would expect for the price. The service is fine and staff are helpful. Near to airport so expect some noise from planes as well as occasional noisy guests. Hotel and furnishings are okay but some show age.

good location to get to zoo and doi suthep. tuk tuk drivers seemed to have problem finding the place when you want to come back, know where this is located so that you can guide them. there is a very cute courtyard half under cover where you can enjoy your breakfast. rooms are small but that is ok with us, we weren't in it long. 7 eleven next door.

Difficult to find on busy road but quiet.”

I needed somewhere to stay long term for a course. It is well out of town and on a busy road. Good English speakers not always available and staff not always about, but all are good helpful and friendly. Really clean and quiet. Wireless internet was a problem quite a lot of the time but I was compensated for this which was a good gesture.

Trendy guest house”

1) Less staff but enough to service 2) Self service breakfast > bread, coffee, milk 3) Poor kitty waiting for your scratching & feeding ^^ 4) No guard but anyway the door is enough safety 5) By the way I felt in love it ^^

Close to the Main Street for nightlife ”

This place is pretty close to the night market, however these is not enough restrooms for 10+ travelers. The hotel staff provides enough information and good support.

Great property nice and quiet - but far from everything”

If it rains make sure you have the number for a taxi as it's a long wet walk to anywhere. Great staff, very clean. TV is in the closet which was unusable.

Mixed feelings”

First of all, they call themselves a bed and breakfast, but there was no breakfast. There was a "serve yourself" kitchen where you could get free coffee and tea, but I don't consider that as breakfast. Staff was not very friendly most of the times. They didn't say anything to me, my "good morning" was answered with a blank stare.. They had a nice looking place to sit outside but I didn't feel comfortable sitting there because I didn't feel welcome. Room was nice though: big bed, quiet airco, nice shower and overall it looked nice. The place was quiet and it felt safe. Cleaning could be better, for example when I arrived there were a bunch of hairs in the shower and they were still there when I left one week later. But they did make up my bed everyday, clean the floor, take the trash, provide new towels and bottles of water. The thing I really didn't like was the location. The street it was located at was not very interesting. There was a 7/11 though. But you had to take a taxi to go anywhere interesting, and my biggest problem with this was that a lot of taxidrivers had problem finding the place when I had to go back. Sometimes needed to ask 3 different drives before they would knew where to go, which was a little bit annoying. So my tip is to have a good map where you can show the location, and have the address written in Thai! To conclude, it's a nice room, but its not perfect! But it's cheap, so I guess you can say it's worth the money .

Warm place as home and worth price ”

If you not fussy but easy going or short stay, this place is suit you well. Anyways, never try never know. Personally,we love this place.

It is not a clean room ”

I booked the room the same day as my friend did. She ended up pay less than me and she got a better room. Their hot shower didn't work in the next morning and i didn't even bother to find the staff. Their staff works only 12 hours I assume. I got the room#101 and it didn't smell good. The bed is noisy. I just fell like I could get a better room in the price that I paid for them.

This is the worst hotel I've ever stayed. The 3rd floor rooms can be seen from outside, another people can see whatever you do in your room. The rooms made from aceric or something which the light can get through and can hear what people do outside. Morever, there has just 1 bathroom which be used from 3 bedrooms. Sometimes, others from the 2nd floor will use the 3rd floor bathroom. So bad!!! I changed my room to be the King size room, the bathroom was still bad, it was not worth with my money I paid. :(

Need a better place”

Room was very small and the lock system is really poor. Bed was not comfy that much. But still valuable for the money.
