Better stretch for your every dollar!”
My family stayed at the Manirakorn Hotel for two nights in Deluxe Terrace rooms. The hotel is located within walking distance of about 7 minutes from Chiang Mai's famous night bazaar. With the comfortable walking distance, one can enjoy the tranquility of the night as well as the bustling night life. Getting tuk-tuk (local taxi) is very easy. Once you raise a hand, taxi drivers never miss you. What I feel is lacking is that the terrace buildings do not have elevators. Hence, getting up can be quite a tiring climb for those tired legs after exploring Chiang Mai and the hillside. In addition, no twin bed rooms provided in the terrace buildings. One of the rooms I stayed in has a bathtub outside of the bath room. What an idea was that? In my opinion, creative is a word used in exaggeration. On the other hand, this hotel has much more plus points than its bad points. Great service is the key in hospitality excellence. Manirakorn Hotel staff were very friendly in assisting our travel plans. One of the receptionists gave us her suggested itinerary for a day in Chiang Mai. Great that we did not miss out on the must-sees in Chiang Mai. Hotel facilities were adequate for all travelers' needs. I had a lazy morning at the swimming pool, sunbathing. Or catch up with friends back home at night via email using their free Internet access provided at the lobby. It would be better if seats were provided for users as well as time allocation for a more organised control of the users in the queue. It can be quite frustrating for one who needs to "fight" in order to use the Internet first. In my opinion, I think the security would be tighter if it checks the guests and people entering the hotel. It seems like anybody can just walk in and wander around. In any case, the security personnel provided the first contact point for us and they greeted us with bright friendly smiles. For an exceptional stay in Chiang Mai with a budget, go for Manirakorn Hotel! Excellent service, good food, g

Great Location, Cute Room”
the maninarakorn hotel is located just a 10 min walk from the night bazaar. the night bazaar is the best shopping/bar district in chiang mai. the maninarakorn is also within walking distance to all the temples and the old wall of chiang mai. the rooms at the maninarakorn hotel was very cute and the hotel is located in a quad like area that has everything that you needed. the maninarakorn also had free wifi which is always a plus. the staff was very friendly and for the price of the maninarakorn was an exceptional stay.

nice hotel with huge rooms”
I enjoyed my stayed at Maninarakorn Hotel hotel, my only problem was trying to pronounce the name of it! Hotel is about a ten minute walk from night bizarre and a ten minute walk in opposite direction to center of Chiang Mai. Staff at the hotel were very nice and helpful. The rooms are so big, you won't believe it when you see them. Overall good and pleasant stay at Maninarakorn Hotel.

A decent hotel and good location for price paid”
I booked the deluxe terrace room after having read many good reviews about this hotel and its location. I must say the reviews on agoda and trip advisor were spot on. I had read a few complaints about the deluxe terrace rooms and that they are away from the hotel, no elevators so you have to walk up the stairs etc etc. I have to say contrary to other reviews, I thought that this was the best feature of these rooms and to add to that it had a separate sitting lounge, a jacuzzi in the sitting lounge area (sounds odd but it is the central feature with good lighting). The deluxe room is equipped with a fridge and a microwave which came handy at times when we needed to re-heat or cool anything. Another complaint I read was that there no elevators/ lifts. We were on the top most floor but I did not find that a hinderance and you do not notice the stairs you need to climb unless you are extremely lazy and cannot walk more than 100m! The stairway lobbies were well dressed and even though the rooms did not have balconies (in fact most hotels I checked out in the centre of Chiang mai did not) it had an open corridor with flower areas which served as seating areas in addition to the lobbies on each floor. The best feature of the deluxe terrace rooms was that it had a local Thai feel to it through the furnishings. Of all 5 hotels I stayed at in Thailand, this was the only hotel that had this feature and combined with the rich culture of Chiang mai, I couldn't have asked to stay at another hotel if I were to go back. The hotel location is what I would vote as the best. It is not too far away from all the activities and nice eateries, but also the night bazaar. Within the hotel square there are many coffee shops, a fish spa, a travel agent, hairdresser and also a small supermarket which comes handy when you get tired of hotel food. The only downside I felt was that the breakfast did not cater for vegetarians/non-pork eaters very well, however I discovered after staying at an

Service with a smile”
Maninarakorn Hotel is located just a short 2 block walk to the famous night bazaar area. The hotel offers a swimming pool and suana along with massage service. Just outside the hotel are many small buinesses that literally ring the hotel. The airport is a short 10 minute taxi drive away. From the hotel, turn Left to go to the bazaar and turn Right to go to the moat area and directly behing the hotel is the famous Loy Krow night life street!

Centrally located”
The old city and new city is quite a large area to walk but do it in the morning or at night when its cooler. Good thing is the Night Bazaar is just a 5 minute walk away from hotel. In this street, you will find many food outlets and massage places. My group tried the Le Best Massage situated opposite Burger King. They are clean and professional and comfortable. And very cheap too. I will return to Maninarakorn Hotel soon.

Great Location and good room ”
This is the first time we stayed at Maninarakorn Hotel at Chiang Mai, and we really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. At first we booked the Deluxe Terrace which is the block across the main building but there is no lift so we upgraded to the main building and for that extra charge it is worth all. The buffet breakfast was good and food is everywhere around the hotel and walking distance to the night bazaar. The room is clean and the bathroom is in good condition too. The reception is friendly and the free wifi is great. We would recommend our family and friends this hotel.

a hotel right in the center of Chiang Mai ”
we are happy to stay in this hotel. it is located in the center of shopping paradise of chiang mai. if you want to go to department store, take a local bus that cost you only 20 baht per person then you are there! if you want to experience the night bazaar shopping center then you can even walk there or hop on a car and drive for only a few mins away. the room is spacious, even we book a room in the old wing. it is pretty convenient but it will be better if there is a curtain to separate the bathroom wet and dry area. and if you have elder people, the old wing is not recommended as there is no lift. breakfast is impressive! very variety and taste great! thank you

Lovely stay”
Stayed in the Deluxe Residence for 3 nights in Jan 2014 alone. Had a huge surprise when I found out I booked the residence instead of hotel room. There was more than enough space for myself with the living room + double bed bedroom. Reasonably priced. Location was fantastic! Walking distance to many popular spots - Night Bazaar, Chiang Mai Walking Street, 7-11 (next door).

Love Chiang Mai, Love this hotel.”
We chose this hotel over the more exp boutique or serviced residence becos of the costs. For the cost we are paying, we think we've gotten much more than what we've expected. There are shops and restaurants within the hotel compound. We had a very late lunch at their Japanese restaurant when we came back to Chiang Mai from Sukhothai. It saves such so much time and energe to look for food. It also has a couple of travel agencies. We book our Chiang Rai trip from one of them. Most importantly, they have a 7-11 just right outside the hotel. It makes this a very very convenient location to stay in. In addition, it is also within walking distance to the night market. They served very good breakfast. instead of sticking to the same menu, they tried to change one or two dice every day. They also try to mix Western with Thai. If you enjoy Asian food, their fried rice or noodle is rather tasty. Had a chance to also sample their buffet lunch. At 139 baht (promotion price), it's really a steal. All in all, we really enjoyed our stay here.

Clean hotel”
Airport transfer was around 80 baht per person. Hotel rooms were clean and up to standards. The hotel was situated in a good location right near the night bazaar Sunday markets. There's a tour guide just outside the hotel too. Free drinks were served down at the first floor (reception/lobby area) with a selection of ice coffee, ice chocolate or coke. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Chiang Mai.

Quiet and good hotel with pleasant staff”
i had a pleasant 4-night stay at the hotel and was satisfied with the room, the service and breakfast. it's away from the noise of the night bazaar and yet close enough to walk to the street where the bazaar is located. i will stay there again should i make a trip to chiang mai. the free soft drinks available each day are a welcome feature of this hotel.

Convinient location”
The location of this hotel was perfect. You can walk to the old city and also to the night bazaar. The hotel is clean and well lit. The shower was wonderful, nice glass containment. The amenities were all there. The breakfast was excellent and included both American and Thai foods. The staff was very helpful. They allowed us to store our bags while we took a side trip to Chiang Rai and returned after a day or so. There is free parking at the hotel and 24 hour security. The security personnel got tuk tuks or cabs for people and stopped traffic so we could easily exit from the parking lot. The Hotel has wonderful wood sculptures throughout. There is a lovely pool and also a sauna, which was fabulous. There is also a fitness room. Overall the place is great and we would stay again. As a matter of fact, this was the first time we stayed at the Marinarikorn! we will gladly stay here again

Good Apartment Stay At Chiangmai Old City”
Maninarakorn has hotel rooms in center block with 2 wings of 4-storey apartment rooms : Deluxe and Superior. The apartment rooms are spacious, equipped with 2 old ceiling-type airconds work very efficiently though the blowers are kind of loud even at slow speed. Furnitures are old but still in reasonably good condition. Location is just about 300+meters from the nearest everyday night markets. Sat and Sun markets are about 1.4 Km walk away. ChinaTown Waroros day Market and Ton Yam Lai day market are 1.4 Km walk away. Chedi Luang is just 1.4 Km ( at the Sunday night market road ). Several small shop restaurants nearby along front main road. 7-11 is just 100m away in a row of shops near the hotel compound entrance. Very quiet location. Serves simple reasonable breakfast at reasonable price. About the same menu daily. Staff could speak understandable English;I fould Khun Pratchai at the reception has excellent command of English. The GM was very friendly and with readily smiles ( though most of the staffs do not offer the famous Thai smiles and were rather reserved ). Very good wifi connections and fast internet speed almost at any spot in the hotel internal area and external compound. You can use the hotel wifi to book Grab or Uber vs taxi or songthaew which offer good and cheaper rides in Chiangmai City. It seems Chiangmai city has cheap public bus services but are very slow and infrequent. Perhaps one could try out in winter months and when you have time just use the slow bus to see the city. This would be my returning hotel for Chiangmai visit. I have stayed at both apartment and hotel rooms. For long stay, I would prefer apartment room for its size though you must be prepared to walk a few flights of steps to 2nd,3rd or 4th floor.

Nice hotel, spacious rooms, convenient location”
i travelled in thailand with a friend for 2 weeks so we were on a bit of a budget. one thing we wouldn't do is give up comfort for price. i managed to find a very reasonable price for a great hotel. the hotel is conveniently next to travel agencies to help you book excursions (we used changs travel agency), a 7-11, and a bank. the night markets are down the street and the old city is a short tuk-tuk ride away. the international breakfast was included in the price of the hotel and we were very pleased with their selection of food. i'm excited to have found this hotel and when i go back to chiang mai, i will definitely stay there again.

Great place for a great price!”
The Maninarakorn is always a top choice anytime I’m traveling through Chiang Mai. It’s in a great location to the local night market, good food and some sweet cafes. It’s well worth a stop and the rooms are clean and staff is super friendly!

Good new and clean hotel, excellent location!”
This is our second stay at Maninarakorn hotel as we enjoyed our first stay so much. The staff at this small hotel were friendly and helpful, maybe because the hotel was not full, so they could take the time to help us out. This hotel was only about 6 months old when we visited, so the rooms were new and very clean and modern, we stayed in a suite with a lounge and bedroom and it was spacious. The room comes with a DVD player and flat screen TV that can be turned to face either the lounge or the bed. Bathroom was classic slimplicity with a see through glass separating the bedroom from the bathroom, and there is a small walk through closet, fanastic! Breakfast was pretty standard but the food was fresh and tasty with decent variety. the location is good too if you dun like Crowds and the nosiness of the night market. It's locate just a 5min walk from the start of the night market, so you have convenience and at the same time you are not jammed in a nosiy and crowded location. Convenince store is just outside the hotel.. 50 words

Review”
We had a great stay at Maninarakorn Hotel in Chiang Mai! The one complaint would be that the wifi in the rooms had a very poor connection. It really only worked in the lobby of the hotel.
