Absolutely nice staying there”
Absolutely enjoyed my staying there. The location is quite convenient, just nearby Wat Chediklong. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, giving lots advices about sight-seeing activities in Chiang Mai. It's definitely worth the value of money. The only problem is that it's a little bit noisy at night because of the Tuktuk, so it's not just the problem of Pat's Klangviang Guesthouse.

Clean friendly hotel that feels like home”
As soon as we entered in the hotel they prepared for us a delicious and refreshing fruity cocktail. This was the theme for all our stay: we felt like at home, they really really cared about us. Great location, close to all the main attractions. There is even a lovely temple in front of the hotel. The breakfast was great. If one day I will go again to Chiang mai I will definetely go to Pat's Klangviang Boutique Guesthouse again.

A quiet and comfy place to stay.”
Stayed at Pat's in late April, early May. Booked for 2 nights, ended up staying for 6. Pat's is a small boutique style guesthouse in a good location in the old city, close enough to the main attractions but far enough from the noisy crowds. The rooms aren't huge but they are well equipped, air conditioned and super clean. Super friendly staff: my wife ordered a cup of hot water with her breakfast (for her camomile tea) instead of the usual tea and coffee. The staff then noticed my wife take out her yellow camomile tea bag for the cup of hot water. The next morning, the staff showed up at breakfast with a big smile and a little surprise, with the cup of hot water came a little yellow tea bag. The staff had gone out especially to buy this tea, I didn't have the heart to tell them that they had bought Earl Grey, it was the best cup of tea she had in ages. The next time we're in Chiang Mai, we'll definitely stay at Pat's again.

Many services and wonderful position!”
Pat's is exactely in the center of Chiang Mai old town, near every point of interest and close to the ancient doors going to east and south of new town. Around it there are many restaurants, coffees, tuk tuk and red buses. This guesthouse offers different services in relation to the price (more or less 800 baht~20 euros): 2 bottles of water free every day, possibility of laundry, hairdryer, air conditioned, toilet commodities (also shower cap and cotton swab!), call to go to the airport and the possibility to have thai massages in the guesthouse itself! It's a real clever choice!

great location, hipster place, mosquito problem”
First impressions, Pat's Klangviang is a really cool, hipster place. Upon entry however, one soon realises that it is rather dark inside (even during day time) and especially at the stair case area. You have to climb several flights of stairs (depending on what floor your room is at). However, the staff are really nice and kind and will help you carry up all your luggage. The room itself is rather small but adequate. Bathroom was functional. I liked that they supplied extras such as a water boiler, a safe to keep your things in, drinking water and a hair dryer in the room. English channels were available on TV, including bbc etc. There was a mosquito problem in the hotel. Everytime one opens the door, a few will fly in. This was the major annoyance in an otherwise pleasant stay in Pat's Klangviang. The location of this hotel is amazing. Close to 7-11, several temples and within walking distance to the Saturday and Sunday night markets.

Pleasant Stay in the Old City”
We had an enjoyable stay at Klangviang. The hotel is very conveniently located (one block from the Sunday night market) in the Old City. The rooms were pleasant, clean and had quaint styling. The breakfast choices provided more than enough food and very quickly prepared. We were awakened each morning at 7:55a by the blaring recording of the welcome to students at the nearby school. We actually came to appreciate the wake up, but it is good for folks to know. The staff was very helpful. The only problem we had was when we rented a car through the hotel to give the staff our commission. The company provided a nice new car in great condition and very clean. Unfortunately, I did not follow my instinct and take pictures of the 1 inc light scratch on the front bumper prior to departing. On return, the renter went immediately to that scratch (ignoring one I mentioned on the rear bumper that was there as well and not looking in the car for any damage at all), called his "boss" who insisted on 1,000 bhat in consideration. It was clearly a set-up and I was not pleased, but he had my passport as deposit, so what could I do? I hope that Klangviang ceases business with that rental company.

Central location and great service”
We stayed in Pat's Klangviang for one night after a 2-day trek. We had a double room on the street side, second floor. The room itself was very small and noisy. Luckily we were exhausted and had no problems sleeping. We could peak into the other rooms in the morning and the twin rooms were a lot bigger. Other than that the hotel itself is very nicely set up and the location is great in the centre of the Old City. Staff was also very helpful and friendly.

Great Location! Amazing Hotel! ”
We had a great stay! The city of chiang mai is wonderful and the hotel happens to be located in a great spot close to everything. Just within a 5 minute walking distance to the night bazar and like a 2 minute walking distance to the biggest and most famous temple of chiang mai. The breakfast is amazing and the room is very comfortable and the bathroom always has hot water! If we ever going back to chiang mai Pat's hotel is going to be our number one choice!

Lovely little place in the heart of Chiang Mai”
This was our second stay in Pat's Klangviang guesthouse. We like the place, because it's nice and clean, and the people are very friendly. Also the location is great, and as we like to go to Sunday market, it couldn't be any closer. Very convenient for everything, all amenities in easy walking distance. Couple of things which you should know about - the hotel has 4 floors, and no lift, so I wouldn't recommend it to a people with a heavy luggage and small children ( although we had a lot of baggage and a small child ourselves - that's why I say it's difficult), it's not easy to bring heavy stuff upstairs, especially if you are on the top floor. English breakfast could be improved a bit, but otherwise it's a very nice place with a great service, and we will definitely be back one day.

Exceptional”
It was the first time staying at Pat's Klangviang and enjoyed the coziness and cleanliness of the room and public areas. The staff was friendly and accommodating. Will be staying again when I am back in Chiang Mai.

Great stay in the Old City”
I had a great stay at Pat's Klangviang. I especially loved having a balcony to relax in with a nice cushioned deck chair. Great location a stone's throw from Wat Chedi Luang and Sunday night market. Also easy to get to other night market in Loi Kroh. Breakfast, while limited by selection is good and filling. Only complaint is that there's not much space for hanging clothes (no closet, only a half nook space with 2 hangers) and virtually no space in bathroom for any toiletries.

Great Value for the Money- AMAZING location”
We had such a great stay at Pat's! The location is perfect if you're interested in the Sunday Walking Street or being in the heart of Old Chiang Mai! Pat is friendly and welcoming and the room was clean, large, and comfortable. You're on a busy street, but the noise was never bothersome to us. I highly recommend staying here as it is a great value for the price!

Beautiful guesthouse in the old city of Chiang Mai”
We stayed in this cosy guesthouse opposite a temple (and a lot more to see nearby) for 2 nights and really enjoyed the amenities of the spacious room with a king size bed (room 8, for outside view not recommended though). It is conveniently situated near the famous Saturday and Sunday markets and can be reached from Chiang Mai Airport by taxi (BHT 120) in about 10 mins. Also included in the price are a variety of breakfast choices which are freshly prepared (not to mention the great coffee) as well as free hi-speed WiFi in the room and freely accessable computers in the second floor with headphones for internet calls. The staff is very friendly and will help you with any arrangements for further trips to the many attractions that Chiang Mai has to offer.

Lovely boutique hotel facing temple”
I stayed in the Pat's for a week. My room had a lovely balcony facing the temple, every morning I wake up in the sounds of wind bell in the temple, and then had a healthy breakfast in the garden. And then I could spend a whole afternoon doing nothing but sitting in my charming balcony, looking at the tourists going in and out of the temple, posing, shooting photos, thinking of nothing, just let time pass by like this, with breeze touching my cheeks now and then. When I got hungry, I walked out of the hotel, turned left and went straight, when you saw the old wall gate, then at your right hand side is a market, will kinds of fruits, street food and fruit drinks. Also there is a good cafe on the right hand side of hotel. You turn right at the first block, then walk about 3 minutes, you will see a J.JU coffee, I like their signature coffee, thai tea and kiwi smoothie the best! If you just along the hotel street and turn right straightly, there are some cloth shop, 7/11, restaurant and massage along the way. What's more, the SAturday market is just starting from this road!

Convenient, affordable, and historic ”
For a very good price point, Pat’s was like stepping into Chiang Mai’s past: the antique door key, the French colonial furnishings, the view of the temples and night market from our balcony. Kai is also a wonderful aide for local recommendations, as she is also a world traveler. If you are debating staying here versus a hotel outside the “old city” walls, you should pick Pat’s. This is because of the added perk of hotel pickup for most tour and event companies- If you stay outside the wall, shuttles to your tour pickup become an added expense and nuisance. Pat’s was perfect to optimize the 5 days that I had in Chiang Mai.

A decent and friendly guesthouse”
My friend and I stayed 2 night at Pat's from 20-22/7/2014. The staff there was friendly and really helpful. It's very convenient if stay on a Sunday as the street right across the guesthouse is the start point of Sunday Night Market. The only one thing that bother us was, we had a big luggage and we stayed at the top floor, which there's only stairs. Anyhow, I love this guesthouse and would definitely stay here again on my next Chiang Mai visit.

Loved staying at Pat's!”
My husband and I spent a week at Pat's. The location was a perfect in the Old section of Chiang Mai, the hosts were friendly and helpful, and the room and bed were comfortable and included a little balcony looking out on a temple.
