rooms are spotlessly clean and freshly decorated. brand new bathroom again spotlessly clean. noi and her staff speak fantastic english and do a great job of looking after all her guests who are a good mix of western and thai. price was excellent value for a clean, friendly, no frills hotel. breakfast is a basic continental one, but when you've got food of every nationality oozing out of every street in chiang mai then this is not a problem! the hotel is set back off the main road, which means you miss all the busy traffic noise but only 2 mins walk and you've got access to the brilliant shared taxi system or tuk tuks to get any where in this busy & larger than life and fascinating city - or just a short stroll to the nearby famous markets and even more restaraunts. all in all a great pick for a 1st time visit to chiang mai from the 100's of room types and prices available to choose from.

i enjoyed my stay at winner inn. the rooms were expected for the price and clean. they had a fridge and en suite. mine even had a bath. the only down side to the rooms was the lack of safe and no deposit box at reception available either so be prepared to lock your valuables in your case. the best thing about the hotel was the friendly reception staff. i'm so sorry i can't remember the name, but there was one lady in particular who was especially helpful at suggesting things to see and do and always greeted me and my traveller friends with a smile. she remembered us everytime we came in and made us feel very at home. for that reason i would recommend winner inn!

Awesome hotel with excellent service”

The hotel is located about 10 minutes walk from the Night Bazaar area, from which you can access everywhere else. The staff couldn't be more friendly or helpful and all are able to communicate in English, to some degree. Tours, drivers and shows were all organised by the hotel, at my request and at cheaper prices than the downtown agents were charging. I had a room on the 5th floor that was cleaned everyday, with the linen and towels changed everyday. My room had aircon and I had access to wifi about 99% of my stay. Breakfast was included in the price and again the service was excellent and the food, ample. I have no hesitation in recommending this hotel to anyone wanting to visit Chiagn Mai.

Quiet and clean hotel”

Winner Inn is located at 10/15 minutes walk from the night market. Our room was on the fourth floor and very quiet, but we guess rooms on the ground floor and near the lobby may be noisy. Our room was well equipped (fridge, cable tv, aircon, wardrobe, complimentary water) and clean. Towels and sheets were changed every day, even though we tried to tell the lady in charge that changing the sheets daily was not necessary. Breakfast was adequate, maybe lacking fruit. The staff did their job in a professional way. The only negative side was the very weak signal of wifi in the rooms (or, at least, in our room). In the lobby the signal was excellent. On the whole, Winner Inn has been a positive experience for us.

all songtiew or tuk tuk drivers also know this hotel, no need to provide map. the location is in a lane. after passed through chiang mai night market, the road going back to hotel is quite dark and far and not many people walked during at nighttime. hotel is in walking distance to night market or old city. the pictures shown on the agoda web site were crossed. standard room should be the dark cloth that one, and deluxe room should be red and with table and chairs that one. so i wrongly selected standard room, it is clean and bright room, but no any place for us to hang the towel or clothes (because we stayed 7 days), so that i needed to use their laundary service 2 times ( 60 baht/kg) all staff are nice and with smile. breadfast is same every day but the ham was good taste and toast was hot when served. the water heater was always tripped and called a staff to fix it nearly every night, but after used, tripped again and in the morning, i hadn't hot water to used. toilet paper is quite dark in colour and bad quality. towels only provided 2 large, but no middle one. the local tour they provided was good. the tour guides were well english.

second time we've stayed at winner inn and they haven't let us down yet. very clean, extremely affordable, convenient location to get a taxi or to walk to many places. highly recommend this hotel!

Great place for excellent price”

the hotel is in a great localisation, very close to the centrum and the night market. very good prices for a variety of trips and the owners are very helpful when it comes to the trips and not only! the rooms are very clean, the sheets were changed everyday. the only negative aspects were the breakfast, which was quite poor and that the wireless internet didn't work in the rooms. however, in the reception it worked just fine. but for such a price it didn't change our opinion of the hotel which is excellent!

Good hotel with well equipped rooms”

our room, on the fourth floor, was quiet, reasonably spacious and equipped with fridge, tv, aircon. we were provided with two complimentary bottles of water each day. both towels and sheets were changed daily, and we thought this was not necessary. the hotel is located at about 15 minutes walking from the night bazar and at 5 minutes walking you can find gekko garden, our favourite restaurant in chiang mai, serving delicious and not too expensive food, both thai and western. breakfast at winner is decent. wifi is perfect in the lobby, partially working in the room. anyway, this was not a big problem, because in the lobby there are a few seats available if you want to use the wifi there

good service and clean room”

we stay in this hotel for two nights. it takes about 10min by a duk-duk from Chiang Mai railway station. it local in a street not far away from the Chiang Mai city but you may take 15min to the Tha Phae Rd by walking. Also cost the same time to the night bazza. any way I love this hotel and will choose it again.

Lovely hotel and service with a smile”

Winner Inn had just renovated their rooms, huge bed and room space. Love their new bathroom too. Friendly staffs with cheerful smile. Although Winner Inn building may look old, but I can assure you their rooms are superb, value for money. and the place is just nice around the night bazaar market.

Great place to stay”

The Hotel is off the busiest of streets so quieter than most but there is no such thing as a perfectly quiet hotel in Chiang Mai city. Still it was quiet enough and the location is hidden but convenient. The service was extremely friendly and I will book here again.

We had a very pleasant stay in the Winner Inn”

We were very pleased with our stay at the Winner Inn. The location is fantastic to shopping and the old city. The price was fabulous, they served a very nice breakfast and offered a shuttle to the airport.

Great value hotel in good location”

This is a great value option for Chiang Mai and the location puts us right between the old city and the river while we enjoyed the Loy Krathong festival. While the hotel isn't close to anything specific itself, it is located within walking distance of many options.

Good location, Friendly staff”

We enjoyed our stay at the Winner Inn. The staff were very pleasant and pointed us in the direction regarding tours and things of interest. It's location is only a 10 minute walk from the night market and the old town. The only negative comment would be the mattress on our bed was a bit old and due for a change.

Clean rooms and good size”

our stay at the winner inn hotel was good, as rooms were clean and a good size. the hotel is in a good location as its about a ten minute walk from bars restaurants etc. the only downside of staying here is the staff are polite however some of them do not know how to smile. i would stay here again.

this hotel located not far from old town, within walking distance. can reach 7-11 easily. the rooms are clean & spaces. friendly staffs. willing to change the fried egg to boil egg for the breakfast. the local tour offer by the hotel are reasonable too. just check with the lobby/information counter.

Great hotel”

Easy 10 minute walk to night market, quiet area, lovely and accommodating staff and manager - service with a smile, hotel exterior may look modest but the rooms are large, beautifully redecorated and sparkling clean, great value, would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it.

Good Hotel”

this hotel delivers what it promises. staff were friendly and fairly good english. the rooms were clean and quiet. breakfast was ok. the location is walking distance to almost everything. parking opportunities are limited for the car but i had no problems i will come back to the winner inn hotel again.

Cheap hotel but high quality and great service”

We thought it was great value for money, quiet area, had a good sleep. Location is also good, not far from town centre, so we were happy with that. Room was spacious, very clean. The lady on reception was very helpful and smiley. All in all a decent hotel for the price, we would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to anyone.

Friendly hotel in a good location”

had a great 5 days at the winner inn, no problems what so ever except for maybe the breakfast being a little small. this is not a top of the range, fancy hotel. its definitely for someone on a budget but this doesn't mean it's shoddy or lacking in anything.
