I'm a frequent traveller to Thailand. I'll visit Pattaya every 3 month for short break. Usually I'll stay at the same hotel but this I chose something different because I brought my close friend and his family to Pattaya as this was their first visiting there. As I was looking at the hotels through Agoda's hotel site, the swimming pool and the slide at the swimming caught my attention. I thought that is would be fun for the children. so I decided to give a try to stay at this hotel. The location of the hotel was very convenient. The staff of the hotel were friendly and we managed to checked into the room very fast. The rooms were spacious, clean with big bathroom. The most rewarding part of the room was the unblocked view of the sea. The swimming was clean, despite that the slide was not there due to some repair, the children enjoyed themselves. The buffet breakfast was also great with many varieties. Overall we have a fantastic stay at Discovery Beach Hotel and looking forward to stay there again.

Discovery Beach is an excellent hotel in a good location on Beach Road with easy access to both North and South Pattaya. The hotel is very comfortable with well-appointed rooms - I particularly appreciated the separate shower cubicle and the complimentary internet access. The hotel restaurant serves good food at a reasonable price and the cafeteria providess a very acceptable buffet breakfast. I usually stay somewhere else but the rooms in Discovery Beach are every bit as good (perhaps better) at around half the price. The staff are courteous, friendly and anxious to please.

had afantastic stay at the pattaya discovery beach hotel. stayed there during songkran festival 2009 with my daughter (age 6). the location was excellent for us. just a 10 baht taxi ride to walking street or a brisk 15 minute walk. we loved the pool. there are 2 waterslides which are fun for the kids. couldn't get my daughter out of the pool. was glad it closed at 7pm as it was the only way to get her out. the rooms are modern and stunning. balcony with sea views, ploished floors, comfortable beds and very spacious. the bathrooms are very clean with seperate bath and shower. very impressive. room was quiet with balcony door shut with no noise from soi 6. this is a complaint in some reviews. the staff are very friendly and helpful. had such an amazing stay that will be back next year with the whole family. thankyou.

The hotel I like most in Pattaya”

The Discovery Beach Hotel is my favourite hotel in Pattaya. It is in a really good location and quite quiet as its set back a bit from the beach road. The swimming pool is really nice. The rooms are very spacious with both a nice large bed and a bath as well as a shower. The views from the rooms across Pattaya Beach are great. The staff are very friendly and the breakfast buffet is an excellent start to the day. In the evening there is music on the front restaurant which is nice. Overall an excellent place to stay.

BIRTHDAY SURPRISE!!”

I am a frequent traveller to Pattaya and I do not compromise on my accommodation. A good hotel leaves a lasting impression. I have not been disappointed with my numerous stays at this hotel. I simply love how the hotel is conveniently located on the Beach Road and yet not to close to the bustling walking street yet not too far. Food is the best at the hotel's D'Beach Restaurant. To my surprise, one day before my checkout, the hotel presented me with a wonderful complimentary birthday cake. My birthday was actually the following day but they took pride to make sure i got it before I checked out. The cake was so good and the gesture was beyond my expectations. Kudos Discovery Beach Hotel! Absolutely recommended!!!

Discovery Beach Pattaya”

We love Pattaya and we love Discovery Beach. We have stayed there 4 times. We love to walk on the beach in the evening. The hotel is also very convenient for the baht buses also. It is also just a short walk to Central Festival which is our favorite mall. The breakfast buffet is outstanding and the pricing of this hotel on the internet is also outstanding. The rooms are spacious and the balcony offers an outstanding view of Pattaya. The only negative is the bathrooms are starting to show some signs of aging such has calk is cracking and starting to turn yellow and door handles, shower handles, etc are prone to breaking. Also the water cycles from hot to cold in the shower which gets old after a while.

The hotel is at the north end of Pattaya so is suitably far enough away from the southern end 'Walking Street' and its hedonistic lifestyle. However, it is a 'must experience once' and, for some delicious eateries you will not be disappointed in 'Walking Street' with affordable prices (£30-40 for 2 persons including drinks).Saying this, The Discovery Beach's beachfront restaurant served up delicious meals every time we decided to eat there. It is obviously popular with many other non-guests judging by the numbers at the tables. You can watch the sun setting whilst you eat and drink too! The pool is clean and substantial in size but can be quite busy at times. The slides are popular with small children but we did not find this intrusive. There is a small but well equipped gym poolside as well as massage rooms. A small poolside area for meals, ice creams and beverages is very welcome with efficient service. The D-Beach is well situated across the road from the main beach should one prefer. This we did on a couple of occasions. There are plenty of loungers, deck chairs and places to imbibe. Trips to the islands from here range from 1000-2000 baht per trip depending what type of boat you want to travel in. Jet bikes and other water facilities are available too here. You can book trips to Floating markets, Zoos, Landmarks and the like from kiosks nearby to the hotel. The weather was sunny and dry every day of the stay which was just what we wanted.

Well located hotel in Pattaya ”

Discovery beach is a very well located hotel (North Pattaya), 2 min from the beach. View on the Pattaya bay is just amazing (my room wasz at the 11th floor). The room itself is great, spacious with a balcony. Good breakfast with very friendly staff. All this for a very good price, last minute booking. No compulsory dinner for Xmas and New Year's eve is appreciated. The only bad point is the staff at reception. The only person who speaks English is very disagreeable. The others are too, actually. The plus is free internet ! A very good hotel indeed. Highly recommended !

Excellent Hotel for service and location”

allthough the room was not ready on arrival the staff ensured our comfit in the lounge until the room was available. the bell boy talked to us for some time explaining the various sightseeing opportunities to see during our stay. the room was large and clean and had a great sea view. the pool was enjoyable and cool and pattaya discovery beach hotel is centrally located within easy walking distance to all shopping and restuarants. breakfast provided many choices of food for all tastes. all the staff at the hotel were very friendly and professional at all times so no member of the team shone above another. will definitely return someday.

Discovery Beach March 2010”

This is our third time at Discovery Beach. I feel it is one of the top three best values in Pattaya. You can get a great internet rate which includes a very good breakfast buffet. The location is also great as you are on the beach and 10 baht for the bus will take you anywhere you need to go. For single people Soi 6 is a high-lite though Discovery Beach is not girl friendly. For couples it is great. The bedding is awesome and the room size is great. No need to upgrade the room, the basic rooms are plenty good and the views of Pattaya Bay are also great. Throw in a first class pool, gym, and wifi and I don't know what else you need. $55 gets you a great value and location. There is no need to go anywhere else.

good location to stay in Pattaya”

i spend just one night in pattaya so i would prefer some place that are comfortable and convenient. this hotel is in a very good location just across the street to the beach in the center of pattaya. first experience with the check in counter give me the good impression on the service i expected. the staffs are really nice. after getting the key card and get into my room. I have to say WOW. it's beyond my expectation for the hotel with this price. the room is big and modern decorations. the view from the big glass door to the balcony give you the full view of pattaya bay. and hey, the bed is comfortable and real BIG the bathroom is sparkling white clean with shower glass room and a bathtub. next morning at the cafe. the breakfast has less variety compare to 4 or 5 star hotel but is still a very good value for money. They got free wifi in the room. I did not check on the minibar because i never use it. hotel have a small but nice swimming pool and a good nice pool bar beside th pool opposite the beach.

Nice Hotel”

We really enjoyed our stay at The Pattaya Discovery Beach Hotel. It is new and clean. Kids had a wonderful time at the swimming pool, and they loved the water slide. The room is spacious with a nice balcony where you can relax with breeze of the ocean and watch the beautiful seaview of Pattaya. The breakfast is great and has variety of choices. The location is also good with restaurents and shops around. Even shopping centers are within walking distance. We will definitely book with Agoda and come back here again!

Fantastic Hotel”

We were very satisfied with this hotel. First of all, the location is very convenient for everything...nice restaurants,shopping on the street/shopping mall,.easy access to beach. It has 2 entrance, On the beach Road Pattaya soi 6/1 and at the back is from Pattaya second road. A few minutes walk to Alcazar Show. We stayed in deluxe room at chic tower. The room was spacious, modern design, with balcony..(sea view.).Bathroom also spacious .we like the shower head on the ceiling. We enjoyed taking shower there. The staff I were all friendly and attentive. Everytime we walk in and out of the hotel,evry staff stopped what they were doing and said hello to us . The staff at the lobby even go extra miles for service. He offered to drive us to Alcazar Show and back when he knew that we plan to walk there.( 300 meters.) he said it is too hot to walk let me drive you all. ( with no cost.). That surprised us and we felt so special there . We definitely suggest to all my friends to stay here.

Great hotel in a prime location.”

We have stayed at the Pattaya Discovery Beach Hotel on many occasions and will continue to do so in the future. The hotel is situated in a prime position on Beach Road, has great views and a large beautiful swimming pool. The staff are very helpful, courteous and friendly. The rooms are large, clean and well maintained. I would recommend this hotel to my friends.

Nice hotel... nice employees... ”

The first time going to the hotel is a little difficult to find because the lighting infront of the hotel makes it hard to see the entrance. The name in front of the hotel is seen as "D-Beach"... which was a bit confusing because everywhere in the reservation is seen as "Discovery Beach". The hotel is very nice... very new... the employees were good... the breakfast was decent with fresh ingredients. The room is a nice size with very clean bathroom. The view from the room that I stayed was very nice (11th floor). I could see the central to south pattaya beach.

Great location and value”

I booked this hotel primarily for location, north pattaya beach is just across the beach road. I took a deluxe seaview room, the room is much bigger than most hotels with large bathroom, king size bed, good TV and balcony had good seaview looking south down towards south pattaya, very nice. The hotel is close to lots of places to eat and drink for all budgets and tastes, Indian, japanese, persian you name it. it also has a Subway outlet close by and Mcdonaldsnot far as well. The hotel is a bit more expensive than some others in the area but if you like your space and especially if you are needing internet access then the value is good because other places in the area charge 180bht an hour or 600bht for a days access and at Discovery Beach its free and good speed. Staff that i dealt with were very nice. I didnt try the resteraunts so cant comment on this aspect. My only gripe was that the bed which was king size had a mattress that felt old and a bit dead although it was relatively comfortable

I enjoyed my 2 week stay at the Discovery Beach Hotel Pattaya,the hotel staff were very friendly and helpfull,my room was very well equipt with a good sea view,the cleaners cleaned the room every day with new towels flannels etc.The hotel is situated in a quite area of North Beach Road but only 20 minutes walk to the night spots in Walking Street.I will certainly be making a return visit next year.

Read about discovery hotel from other guest comments,something of the best we have done.Perfect walking to beach,shop and restaurante.We choose superior seawiev room,we got a large room whit a fantastic wiev over hole Pattaya bay.We order with breakfast-buffet and it was one of the best in our trip around in Asia.The staff was always smiling and open the door for you.We have been four times in the area and this was the best hotel so far.Two times before we have stayed in Jomtien,we think Pattaya beach is better.Best regard.

Probably Best Value in Pattaya”

Stay in Pattaya alot and last time before this at Montien just up the road. Discovery Beach is by far the best! They have EVERYTHING covered: rooms are spotlessleg) & well appointed with frig, safe, & wireless access at no additional cost. (unlike Montien that for some reason thinks wireless access should cost arm & leg) The breakfast buffet is good (included in our package) and the nice fuit basket delivered to our room was an unexpected welcome surprise. We make this definitely our hotel of choice for future visits.

Great stay at the Discovery Beach”

The Discovery Beach Hotel offers good affordable accommodation with lovely views over Pattaya Bay. The Hotel is family orientated and has a free form swimming pool with water slides. It is right on the Beach and is handy to get to nearby shopping and nightlife spots-the baht bus is onlly 10 baht per person to get to Walking Street or any of the many shopping Malls along the beach. The buffet breakfast is greast but watch out for the ladyboys in thre adjoining street
