Dara - Fantastic”

Arriving at the Dara hotel Phuket is like coming home to an old friend. The reception staff are friendly and very competent, the porters friendly and ever smiling. The staff in the restaurant were helpful, efficient and pleasant to be around. The Rooms were spacious, clean, comfortable and very modern. There was a large bath tub and while it wasn't a scorching hot bath it was OK after a long day. There were 2 air cons in our room, both were quiet and very effective. The curtains were fantastic, kept the room cool and in darkness for as long as we needed once the sun was up. The Pool area was awesome. Clean, colourful and bright. Pool was designed for families to be able to use along side, singles, older travellers etc. Meals in the restaurant were delicious, a little expensive when your used to only paying street prices, but was worth it!!! Cocktails by the pool were amazing, delicious and reasonably priced. Overall - if you are looking for a good clean, modern hotel that isn't close to any major attractions (apart from Central Festival) but centrally located in Phuket, easy to get to anywhere form here then this is the hotel for you.

Great Stay in Junoir Suite”

Dara Hotel was perfect for my needs as it was close to my clinic I was going to, it had all the amenities I could dream of, great big comfortable rooms i could hang out in should i not want to venture out. It is literally accross the street from Central Festival Shopping Center. If ijn Phuket, you'll need a motorbike or car to get around and there is parking at the Hotel. Free wireless internet in Room was nice, and the is also a computer in the lobby as well. The Hotel also had a restaurant with room service. I went during the low season and got a good rate for a Junior Suite room. I don't usually go for suites, but the price was great and I wanted to pamper myself a little bit. Most people will really enjoy staying here. I would stay here again should I have business in phuket town. It is a practical location.

Dara - riffic”

Dara Hotel Phuket was wonderful. Reception staff were happy and very friendly, very good English which was not only helpful but also nice in that you could have a conversation not just ask the basic questions. Rooms - Beautiful, Fresh, Clean and VERY comfortable. Meals - Selection of Thai dishes and a "Specials Board" that boasted beautiful Western dishes at very good prices. Pool Bar had the best Cocktails we have had for a while Pool - was beautiful, whether it was for a swim during the day or evening dip. Everything was every bright and clean. Breakfast was limited, no cereal, but everything we told them was taken under advisement, this is a new Hotel and they want to please and are grateful for advise and feedback. Not only do I recommend this hotel we re-booked it for the end of our stay. Staff were very helpful with our "extra luggage" and very good with our children

Super Funky”

The Dara Hotel is a fabulous hotel for a short stop over in Phuket. It is nowhere near the beach, but it is just up the road from Phuket Town, which gives one the opportunity to experience true Thai culture. I love the hotel design. It's super colourful, simple and practical, and the breakfast is really good. It even has a lovely pool with awesome bean bags to sit on. It really is just a modern, funky, upbeat place, but most importantly, the price is right and even though it's right next to the highway, it's quiet!

Great Location, nice hotel and great staffs.”

Dara Hotel provides a lovely enviroment with unique room. There several shopping malls in the hotel vicinity, thus is convenient for traveller to get access to the malls as it is just walking distance and about 10 minutes to phuket town. The staffs are nice and polite who assist their guests to the best.

Great Hotel!!”

Dara is easy to spot and easy to find because it is surprisingly colourful inside and out. I appreciated the chic design in the lobby, by the pool, and in the room. The kitchenette area was spacious and provided ample counter space for planning, eating, and storing our things. I loved the design of the room and very much appreciated the walk-in-closet. However, we did trip several times walking in and out of the bathroom as the bathroom floor is about 2 inches lower than the rest of the room. The balcony was also nice as it gave us an area to dry our wet clothes from swimming in the lovely pool. There was also an upper deck that we discovered that overlooked the pool area. Because of its strategic location, it was easy to rent a motorbike and drive ourselves all over Phuket. Central Festival - a large mall - is across the street, and a local supermarket/plaza is also within walking distance.

great location for shopping”

Dara hotel is not a fancy, but if you know about phuket town area this hotel is the best! Frankly speaking, it is hard to move to phuket town, but this hotel is just perfect for shopping, specially complimentary tuktuk service. Central Festival, Index, Lotus is within 15 minutes walking distance. Hotel room is big enough for 2 adults, and clean. Staff was incredibly kind and helpful! Breakfast is okay.

Fantastic hotel!”

The architecture is wonderful. My family really enjoyed the interiors of the rooms. Also, the hotel provides rides to night market and to phuket town for free. You may have to find a tuktuk to come back to hotel. Breakfast was also good. Really quiet. To and from phuket town is 200 baht per each. But we still wanted the hotel, because it was so cool. Staffs were very helpful. I would definitely come back for the hotel.

Nice place to stay ”

I stayed at Dara Phuket with friends and relatives for 2 nights. I found that the hotel located nearby the city and convenient to go around the town. Breakfast was great. All staffs are friendly and helpful. Recommend this place if you are searching for a place to stay.

Nice hotel with good location”

What me and my wife like about Dara Hotel are: (Jr. Suite Room) 1. Nice design, both interior and exterior 2. Big bathtub 3. 10 minutes walking distance from Central Festive Mall 4. Free Wifi in room 5. Big and flat TV We think the hotel itself has an attractive exterior design. It is truly a boutique hotel that we would recommend to everyone. The location itself is not too far from the airport and town. "Nice hotel with value for money"

Spacious and clean room, good price and location, mediocre service”

We stayed 1 night at Dara hotel. we arrived already quite late for check-in (10pm). We got a room which smell like smoke so we turned on a fan and tried to get rid of the smell which didn't help. We asked the reception for air purifier but got send a quite rude house keeper who just barged in and spray our room with some even smellier spray which made the room stinkier. In the end we need to ask to switch room but got told that they were fully booked. The receptionist came up to check on the room and probably could smell the smoke+spray too so he agreed to switch room for us (two room next door when said un avail before?). We really didn't know how to feel about the situation but we were too tired to argue so we just switched room and went to bed and check-out early the next day. We will probably stay here again since it's in pretty prime location and the price was good but wouldn't recommend for anyone looking for good service.

New Hotel”

Dara Hotel is a new hotel was just build 4 months ago. Is close to a Shopping Centre and not too far from downtown. The hotel itself was really clean and colorful. The staff are really friendly and the things was we have a swimming pool there. My girlfriends and i was so happy to see our room was really clean and the service was excellent. We have our bed sheets change every day and our room clean every day. The breakfast was great. So if you are looking for something clean and reasonable price go there.

very good hotel close to shopping malls”

Nice new hotel (opened only 3 months ago) so everything in room and facilities work perfectly and look bright new. It is very central in the island so if you have transport it is ideally placed (20min. drive Patong beach, 20min. Rawai Beach, 10min. Phuket town). It is also accross the road from Central Festival mall where there is taxi service. the service was very good also and the price quite cheap for what you get

Excellent little hotel that fit our needs”

we have stayed in phuket many time, but this is the first time staying away from the sea. dara hotel was exactly what we were looking for this time around. we had appointments at the hospital around the corner and it was the perfect location for us. it was a 10 minute drive to the hospital and across the street from the big central festival mall. our kids loved the pool and we all enjoyed hanging out poolside in the late afternoon as the sun set. this is definately a downtown hotel, streets on just about every side and construction going on nextdoor, but for us it fit the bill.

Such a great experience”

We has been traveling around in South Thailand for a week already and were totally exhausted and frustrated with other not great accommodations and so frequently being ripped off... we booked Dara Hotel in desperation because it had all the things we felt would make us more comfortable and we no longer cared how close we were to a beach. It turned out to be the best decision we had made the entire trip. If I ever go back to South Thailand (and I don't really want to) it would definitely be to relax for a week or so at Dara hotel. It was an incredible experience!

New, comfy boutique hotel, value for money”

The interior design is just fabulous, room is newly renovated and spacious and clean, friendly staffs. The hotel is 10mins walking distance to the Chao Fah Variety weekend night market. The hotel offers FOC tuk tuk service to the lagest shopping mall in Phuket town, Central Festival mall, which is about 5mins ride. One downside was the old wing besides the pool is undergone construction. Overall, it's still very much worth to stay for the price that we paid.

Good lacation and excellent service!!”

The hotel room is very comfortable and there are completed facilities e.g. hair dry, hot pot, refrigerator, terrace (very large and can take a seat for relaxation. It's good for business traveler due to it is located in the heart of town in Phuket and provide free shutter bus to Central Festival Phuket, recommended to transfer to another places like Pa tong beach, Jungceylon, etc. Hotel staffs are very friendly. Only one thing that i wanna comment is about the American breakfast has a few foods.

Good value for the money”

The breakfast is decent, but with not much variety. The location of the hotel makes it somewhat necessary to have a car or a motorbike - I'm not sure about public transportation from here, and the taxis are expensive on Phuket. Overall we had a great stay in Dara Hotel.

It's very cool hotel.”

I am expecting to stay such a hotel like this for a while. I think this is the newest style hotel many guests would love to stay over. It's in the middle of good location in Phuket. It's just 3 minutes to Central Phuket and 10 minutes to Phuket town. There are everything guests expectation have reached.

comfortable and convenient hotel”

this hotel is not very big,with only 50 rooms, but its location is very convenient,just 3 mins walk to central festival and 5 mins to bigc. if you rent a motor, it is very exciting to drive to explore the phuket town, such as a big outlet shop and some fantastic antique shop. besides, the rooms are big and quite new. breakfast is quite nice. the clerks are very helpful.
