Friendly staff but hotel not what expected”

We Stayed at this hotel over Christmas and even though the staff were really helpful and friendly we are disappointed with the hotel. We picked this hotel because of the wi-Fi, balcony and pool but during our stay we did not use the pool once as it didn't look very clean and for the 6 nights we stayed we never saw anyone use it, this is not a massive problem though as the beach is only 5 min walk away. balcony view was directly opposite a brick wall and plants so couldn't use it because of the Mosquitos but they have a lobby/restaurant which you can spend time in instead so its not too bad. The wi-Fi was the main problem for us as the first two days we couldn't get access to wifi in our rooms which was annoying because we had to get intouch with family on Xmas day in the middle of the restaurant instead. This is not the hotels fault as it was due to a power cut day before we arrived which affected the router, the staff did try their best to get it fixed ASAP but it was just a shame that it happened over Xmas. Overall the rooms were ok, decent size, and cleaned everyday but i think because we expected more because we had paid more for Christmas we were more disappointed but again, this is not the hotels fault about the Internet. It is a family run hotel with a pizzeria restaurant which also do breakfasts we ate here most nights but did find that it is cheaper elsewhere.

Nice hotel with great owner and good location”

We changed from a hotel we were unhappy with that was priced about the same. This place has pretty nice rooms for the price you pay. The pool is well taken care of and the restaurant has really great pizza. I left my bank card in a ATM and the next day the owner took me on his motorbike to the bank to see about recovering it. The bank wasn't open yet so he showed me some shops for an hour or so. We ended up having to go to a second location which he also took me to. There was an issue with the wifi that seemed to only effect apple products. He spent a good amount of time trying to get that figured out as well but it was never a consistent connection.

A well run, friendly hotel”

When our taxi arrived we were greeted by the friendly staff who carried in our bags for us. They were nothing but friendly and were always friendly and prompt with any requests we had. The room was nice and quiet considering the location. The worst thing about the room was the extremely hard and lumpy mattress and I like hard mattresses. We changed rooms after complaining and we had a slightly better bed but it was definitely the worst thing about the hotel. We didn't eat at the hotel as we didn't feel like eating pizza while in Patong. We would recommend the place to other people who want a convenient location.

First Albergo is exactly what you would expect for a resort in this price range. Its in a good location, away from the craziness of Bangle but close enough to walk. The owner and staff are helpful and pleasant. Beds are uncomfortable though!

Great Value!”

Rooms cleaned thoroughly everyday from top to bottom. Nice small pool area that gets sun from morning to night. Free wifi that was good enough for me to stream Game of Thrones with no buffering (JOY!). Laundry service very handy! If somethings not on the menu they'll make it for you when possible. I arrived with a bit of food poisoning and the management checked to see if I was ok(nice people). TV had news and a movie channel so was all good! Quite bar/restaurant area with a good pool table for spending a little time now and again. Staff can't help you enough and if you"ve a problem its fixed in minutes. I'll definitely be coming back! Mr Jade across the road at Sunset Mansion for motorbike rental and taxi tours(nice new land cruiser) is the man for hooking you up with transport!

Good value for money”

We had a good time here. We booked airport transfer through the hotel. On time, and cheaper than the fixed prices. We had small ants in the room, but certainly not the worst thing we have seen in a hotel room.

Great Great Hotel”

the hotel is great as it's just by the main road, yet the rooms are quiet. the boss of the hotel was great. he offered free online access while his staff did not do the same.

I enjoy my stay here. It is near to the beach and restaurants. the room is clean and comfortable. overall, it is value for money.

Average”

Location is OK but a bit of a trek to Bangla. Plenty of bars and restaurants along the way though so not a big deal IMO. Hotel is basic. Owner is helpful.

CALME ET SUPER SYMPA”

L'hôtel est un peu vieillissant, les chambres aussi. Pas de TV écran plat p. ex. Les chambres sont grandes ( 21m2, mesuré + WC + Balcon ). La literie est parfaite ( très ferme ). Le seul bruit que vous entendrez et celui des voisins, si ceux-ci sont bruyants ! Un hôtel calme pour des gens calmes ! Le patron, italien, et la patronne, thaï, sont super sympa et toujours prêts à vous aider. Le resto de l'hôtel fait partie, à mon goût, des tout bons restos italiens. Qualité, quantité et prix. La piscine n'est pas très grande, mais ce n'est pas le but du séjour ! Si vous pensez y séjourner, vous ne serez certainement pas déçus.

c'est un hotel qui n'a plus d entretien et tout part a la decrepitude. Dommage cela aurait pu etre bien . Chambre grande sans meuble, salle de bain qui devient vetuste plus aucun entretien l hotel se laisse mourrir. Pres de la plage et du centre.
