Great Guesthouse. Great Service. Wonderful Room.”
I stayed recently in Baan Hmon Oon. It was a very enjoyable stay, and I will definitely stay there again when I visit in January. If you are in Chiang Mai, and particularly if you have any reason to stay near Chiang Mai University, you would do very well to stay an Baan Hmon Oon.

Seems like home, cozy with care”
Baan Hmon-Oon: I stayed at Prae room, cute and will be dreamed home for everyone. Location is not far from inner of Chiangmai, convenient and only a walk to see LingPing. Food is just simply one, Cake & Crape are nice and good for money. Staff at Baan Hmon-Oon are friendly. Another point to add is the bed time drink: so lovely. Decoration: seem in a cute, dream home!

Great place to stay”
We like peace and quiet and don't need all the facilities of a big hotel so this was perfect for us. The room was lovely, the garden peaceful and the staff couldn't do enough for us. It is a fair way out of town and taxi/TucTuc drivers will not have heard of it so be sure you keep a map with you so you can point out the location to them. They provide a good and interesting breakfast which needs to be pre-ordered the night before. They are happy to prepare a packed breakfast if you are going out before 0800. There is a supermarket close by and 2 minutes away is a huge night-market which has a huge variety of eating places at amazingly cheap prices (it's where the Thais eat). We loved it and will use it again if we return to Chiang Mai.

Cute and comfortable boutique hotel”
We greatly enjoyed our stay here. We booked 2 rooms (1 couple and 1 for a family with a toddler), and was allocated Kaew and Jean. Rooms and comfortable, with great breakfast and the hosts and owners are extremely attentive. The before sleep drink was a nice touch. The location of the hotel is just right- away from the maddening crowd, but at the same time very accessible with red cabs available anytime just a few minutes walk away.

Cute find in Chiang Mai ”
Stay here! It was so nice, quiet, with small garden seating area in front - near CMU, but also close to everything else in Chiang Mai. Food and coffee in the little cafe was tasty. Stayed longer, extended because so nice, and will return on future visits.

A warm and cozy place to stay”
Not too far from visit spots, but away from the packed visitors. Close the CMU, a great place for morning walk and exercise before the busy schedule to hot spots. Breakfast are great, hosts are kind and very helpful. Very good place to stay in Chiang Mai👍,

Pretty cafe, lovely and homely place (:”
Stayed here for 4 nights! A lovely and pretty place to be in (Girls would love it!). Fell in love with the place immediately! (: Staffs could not speak English v well BUT they were extremely pleasant and helpful, eager to please. Stayed in Jeans room, on the first floor beside the cafe entrance. Loved the room v much, cosy, comfortable, clean, had privacy. However, we had a cockroach in our room the first night. (but to be honest, I think this is v normal just like in our own homes. and due to the fact that the room was sparkling clean and v comfortable, and how i was so in love with the whole environment, the cockroach incident did not bother us much). Loved the hearty breakfast (4 choices to choose from) (so much that I cldnt finish) and our choice of tea that comes in a huge teapot! ((: Beautiful cafe and lovely choice of cakes/drinks if u want to have tea break in the afternoon. Located behind a night mkt, wonderful shopping. Only down side of staying here is that its not a touristy area so when we wanted to rent motorbikes, the rental shops were unwilling to drive it to us. we had to take a songtiaw(public transport) to the Tapae area to the shop itself to get/return the bike. Overall, lovely place to relax in but may need to think twice if u plan to rent ur own bikes. (:

A bit of of Palm Springs boutique hotel in Chiang Mai”
Okay.. the location for the University is great! There is also the night market, the street food and the bars (no that those types of bars gentlemen!), the shops. But for the Old Town... nope... a bit far but I guess one could walk it. The hotel itself is ... well ... kitsch. Oh it is very nice and certainly clean... but just a bit overly decorated. But it is pretty to look at and though may not meet the tastes of the average heterosexual male... it is very nice! Even the breakfast is good and there are nice if somewhat basic choices yet very satisfying. Bathrooms and bedrooms are clean and have all the usual things one would want to find... though I wish that they had more plugs in the room I had for 3 days for the usual amount of chargers I seem to have to carry with me. But all in all everything was very comfortable indeed. There is to my mind limited parking, but this is because the hotel is down a small Soi and so does not have the parking spaces I bet they would like to have. My only real concern was the fact that I checked in late that is after 20:30 hours... thank you Bangkok Air for being delayed... I was glad that I thought of calling to let them know however as I was told that the front desk closes at 20:00 and that they would make sure someone was there when I arrived. Now this poses the question... what hotel closes their front desk... let alone at 8pm!? So call them if you are going to be late!!!! But well worth a stay here. The university is just a few streets up and there is plenty to do. The Old Town and the weekend walking street there is just a Tuk Tuk ride away or a walk if you want the exercise. But for a visit to your country's Consulate nope or the main hospital... nope. I would stay here again

Friendly like home”
It is pretty nice, the lobby is actually a coffee house which you can order some drinks and get rest, the room is very clean, people in that hotel is really friendly, but it's a little bit expensive if you come here in the high season.

A cozy place in heart of Chiangmai”
This place is very warm and cozy. I like the vintage style and the design to all the house with 7 rooms each with different style, fantastic. Breakfast is fabulous, with the 4 selections you can choose. Fresh juice and salad make a fresh starts everyday. If possible I'd like to return soon.

Cozy stay with easy access to town”
It was a pleasant stay. The room is cozy. This is kind of bed&breakfast hotel. As this is a renovated building, if you stay at the ground floor you can experience some noise from a wooden walk way on top. The break fast is ala carte but it's ok. It's near University of Chaingmai, Malin Plaza where there are night market and lots of cheap restaurants.

Training for staff and install CCTV at dinning area.”
To be fair, the staff there are gentle and sincere. You will feel safe to be with them. However, the staff are unable to speak English or very little English. This makes it challenging for guests who cannot speak Thai. If the staff can speak basic English, it would be very helpful for the guests. Also, when I was having my breakfast, the staff took a phone camera and had it faced me, so that the boss can see me. This is rather intruding. The boss on the other end of the phone don't even greet me when I noticed it. If this boss is so concerned as to who visit his hotel, I would suggest for him to install a CCTV than doing it this way. Personally, I felt uncomfortable.

Fantastic B&B near Chiang Mai airport”
We love this B&B. We stayed here for a week in February while attending a conference, and find it great value for money. The decor is very homey and cosy (a bit feminine), the room is very comfortable, and breakfast is served downstairs in a cafe, with a small outdoor lawn to enjoy coffee. There is a small nightmarket nearby. The owners are friendly and their little girl is so cute. It's not near the old city, but songteaws (red taxis) are frequent and cheap.
