Lovely hotel, with a very simple&very clean rooms”
very close to the kata beach(5-10min walk-depending if you have young children), very close to the local restaurants to the left from hotel & to the right to the touristy one - choice of yours. calm & quiet surroundings, small pool perfect for children for afternoon splash. amazing staff everyone is helpful and competent. solid breakfast however limited options. great price and overall brilliant deal. if you you want to go out for some adventure in the evening only 20min by tuk tuk to wild patong. i highly recommend the hotel and staff. this was my 3rd trip to phuket and i hope to return to the kata orient house hotel.

The Kata Orient House A short stroll from the beach and with many restaurants, shops and massage parlours nearby, Kata Orient House offers convenience, serenity and comfort with over 30 spacious clean rooms, a swimming pool and a restaurant. The large, flat-screen TV in our room had a good selection of international and local channels, the refrigerator was large (and well-stocked) while the cleaning staff were friendly and enthusiastic -- and thorough as they moved slowly from room to room during their late-morning cleaning cycle. Kata Beach is our favourite destination on Phuket island, offering good surf in the low-season months and a good sandy beach that is not too crowded, while the Kata Orient House is conveniently located for accessing its attractions on foot. Most of the rooms face the hotel's 10-metre long swimming pool which is surrounded by comfortable wooden loungers. This is all set back from the road that fronts the hotel which is not too busy and we found the rooms to be clean, quiet and our double bed was large and firm, providing a good night's sleep. From its management down to the restaurant staff and cleaners, all staff members at Kata Orient House wore a smile and were eager to help -- whether it was to print out a document for us with their computer at no charge or to advise us on where the best massage would be found at one of the many nearby establishments. We will most certainly return!

Wonderful Welcome!”
We really enjoyed our stay at the Kata Orient. We had a very rough day getting to Phuket and when we finally arrived at the hotel we were greeted by the wonderful staff who made us feel relaxed and comfotable straight away. The room was lovely and the bathroom very nice. The pool looked very nice but we didn't make use of it. Kata beach is just a short walk away. Highly recommended.

Great quiet place at a good location”
This is a great hotel. simply it has great clean rooms with a great pool area and gardens. It is probably the quietest hotel I have ever stayed in, everyone is respectful and it seems like the "going to bed early type of hotel." Good location with everything at your doorstep and and easy quick walk to both Kata and Karon beaches...... Great for the price and highly recommended. Helpful staff, easy going safe environment.

Nice Room and Helpful Staff”
Our room was very clean and comfortable. We would have liked to have stayed longer. Convenient Motorbike rental from the hotel. Staff very helpful and friendly. Overall very pleasant stay. Location right on the street close to various shops, only downside about location is the walk to the beach - but I think it is pretty average for Kata beach and with a motorbike it is no problem at all!

Excellent quiet place with great service ”
I have stayed at Kata Orient House twice now. I like its convenient location - not too noisy here, yet not too far to the beach (10 mins if you're a fast walker, 15 for normal). The staff is always very helpful. You can have tea/coffee in the restaurant area any time and it makes it feel like home. The hotel is small, so you won't feel overcrowded. The pool is big and clean. The rooms are standard, cleaned regularly, some cottages were under renovation but we were not bothered at all. 7-11 is right across the street, as well as pharmacies and souvenir shops. If you want to get away, go uphill (after the hotel instead of going to the beach, go the opposite way) and you will see almost no tourists there, it's quiter no one speaks English and there's a temple there. Would definitely stay again.

Time to warm up”
Great position for the price. The manager did his best to accommodate every wish. The pool area is nice. Our room was next to another hotel that played terrible and loud music, a pair of ear plugs fixes that. Kata beach is nice but Karon is a little better. The service and facilities here made our stay comfortable and relaxing. Thank you

Made the mistake of booking a car through the hotel to pick us up from the airpot. It was 1000 baht to get to the hotel, but there are minivans that you can book at the airport for 200 - 300 baht a person. Expect to get hassled by taxi drivers when you walk out of the airport. The drive to Kata Orient House was about an hour. Things seemed a little chaotic and unorganized when we arrived and we had to wait awhile for our room to be ready. Our room was fine, but not what we were expecting based on the pictures. Room is basically a box and two of the walls are giant glass sliding doors. Kind of strange. Bed was not that comfortable and they didn't change our sheets once, just remade the bed. Changed towels everyday and provIded separate towels to use at the pool/beach which was nice. Walking distance to Kata Beach but found that to be overcrowded. When we followed the sign to get there it took us down a path that was directly next to a river of sewage. Rent a motorbike and go to Kata Noi.

Quiet Relaxing and Comfortable Stay”
My stay at The Kata Orient House Hotel was great! The room I booked online was not available so I was upgraded to a private villa. I absolutely loved my room. The staff was friendly and the location was a about a 10 minute walk from the beach. The place is located away from the main road, so it is quiet.

Great accommodation”
Room was large and clean, with a large (very useful) fridge. Hotel was close to shops, restaurants and the beach - 10 minute walk to Kata Beach. Located roughly 1 hour from Phuket airport. Staff were helpful and accommodating. Pool area was large and clean with plenty of sun loungers. I would stay here again and would recommend the Kata Orient House Hotel as a great place to stay in Kata.

First time in phuket”
The data Orient House Hotel is nearly the kata beach, 15 miniute from hotel. Staff is very friendly and very good service they can speak both of Thai and English. The room is big and clean with air conditional and fan. Breakfast is a lot but not delicious, 7-11 is nearly .

Great Value, Comfortable Room, 15 Mins to Beach”
Stayed in a standard room during low season at an incredibly low price. The room itself is very spacious, standard asian hard mattress, big windows and decent bathroom. Hot water in bathroom could have been better but was adequate. Nice channel package on the flat screen TV. Great layout of the hotel with rooms surrounding the pool and gardens. Each room had a nice covered sitting area either on a balcony or just outside the door. Pool not exceptionally large but larger than most and plenty of sun loungers available around the pool. We liked this place so much that we extended our stay twice. In 8 months in Asia, this had to be one of the best value rooms we had. 15 minute walk to Kata beach which is not bad and plenty of 7-11's and resto's just outside the hotel.

Kata plajına ve otobüs durağına yürüme mesafesinde. Ancak mesafe az değil. Plaja her yerden girilmiyor, iki girişi var. Haritadan görüp her yerden girilir sanmayın. Otel genel itibariyle güzel. Yalnız koca odada iki priz var ve ikisi de yataktan oldukça uzakta. Kullanışlı değil. Temizlik saat 11 gibi geliyor, sonra sanırım gelmiyor. Çalışanlar orta seviye. Ama yine tercih ederim. In a walking distance to kata beach and bus stop. But not that close. Overall the hotel is good. But in a big room, there are only 2 plugs and both of them are far from the bed. Not practical. Cleaning service is coming around 11, after that as I think they dont come again. Staff is mid level. But I will choose it again.

Great choice in Kata”
I really liked this hotel- the room was very large and I enjoyed having a wardrobe, breakfast table, and a large fridge. The pool is nice, and it's only a 10 minute walk to the beach. I enjoyed staying in Kata rather than sleazy Patong. The staff was friendly and helpful. The only problem was that my shower didn't drain properly, and the whole bathroom was wet. Overall, great value.

Exceptional”
Wow, what a gem this place this. I had one of the ground floor rooms, it felt and looked more like an individual bungalow, with a nice terrace to sit out on. I was only there for 2 nights and was busy during the day, so I didn't get a chance to explore Kata, this place was perfectly quiet, and the staff (especially Mr. A) were very helpful and friendly. Highly recommended.

Cozy accommodation at a cheap price”
I first booked two nights wanting to see first how the villa looks like. I thought I'd book more nights if I found it wonderful. But when I saw Kata Orient, I immediately booked a room for the rest of our vacation. Everything is great except for one thing, the housekeeping. They'd bang your glass panel door even when you're in your deepest slumber just so they could clean the room. Horrible.

Great Little Hotel”
This is a great little hotel. Wonderful private garden surrounding a nice pool, friendly and helpful staff, all at a great price. Rooms are clean, confortable, with nice beds and showers. Great value for the price. In a nice neighborhood with 7-Eleven across the street, and a short motorbike trip to Kata Beach. You will like staying here.

Pleasant and comfortable ”
We really enjoyed staying at Kata Orient House Hotel. The rooms were comfortable and we enjoyed the chalet-style accommodation. The staff were really helpful in organising taxis and buses for us. The food was delicious. We hired a scooter and explored the surrounding area which was fun. It is a bit of a walk to the beach but on a scooter it takes no time. There are many great restaurants in the area.

Excellent hotel, amazing pool, friendly staff”
this is a great hotel. one of the best budget hotels i have stayed in at only a night. i had a great time here. i felt very comfortable and relaxed. the room was nice and clean. very helpful staff, good food in restaurant. its about 15mins walk to kata beach, which is an amazing beach. i hired moped for $5 a day which was great. can't fault the place.
