Ancient China Living Experience”
The hotel is located along a narrow lane, surrounded by others courtyard houses. The entry to the hotel is narrow, which allow only one car and only one way. There is a railway station nearby, with 10 minutes walking distance. There are some dining places and convenience shop along the main road outside the street. Living facilities are clean, comfortable. Staff are helpful and informative. The hotel offers shared drinking facility, no dining facility, and inadequate tissue rolls provided, which i think these are the weak points of the hotel.

Nice boutique hotel”
This hotel is pleasantly located within the 2nd ring road which encircles the heart of Beijing where most of the attractions are located, and the closest subway station is just 500m away. While the room is pretty small and it doesn't come with bells and whistles, it definitely has most of the essential facilities. It would be even nicer if there are more hooks/rails for hanging towels. Breakfast is free and good. I would recommend it to anyone who likes to stay in a well-run hotel (within a historical narrow alley) that is different from those typical 4-5 stars international chains.

at centre of beijing, walking distance to train station. easy access to all attractions. environment is clean, quiet and have Beijing feel unfortunately our room is not really soundproof, feel less private and can hear the noise cleary when there is rain during midnight. most staff is helpful but not so friendly due to their culture.

Beautiful courtyard but rooms for improvement for room and services”
Very pretty entrance and courtyard. Breakfast was simple and satisfying. The room has a stench (from sewage) that was not really addressed even when highlighted to the staff. As Google Map does not work well, the place difficult to locate at first. Staff provided directions to the nearest MRT entrance/exit which was a 10min walk distance. Staff was rather laid back and could be more helpful in providing suggestions on attractions.

Well decorated hotel and rooms, but the sewerage smell in toilet can get really strong and unpleasant. Staff are friendly and helpful, but do note that they are only able to book small car for airport transfer, and only can book 1 car at one time. If you need bigger car to fit few people with luggage, would advise to book through other channel like klook or kkday at least one day before .

Pros: Easily accessible, 5mins walk to nearest train station. Lovely experience of staying in a ‘hutong’ neighbourhood. The hotel is quaint and nice. Looks exactly like the photos. Cons: If you get the rooms at the back near fire exit, it can get quite noisy in the morning.

Pro: nice hotel, easy access to Train station, friendly and helpful reception staff which helped us to get airport transfer taxi. Very clean hotel. Definitely will stay again! Cons: certain area are not covered, if rains will be a hassle, and not sound proof.

Clean, Simple, and a bit of a cultural experience.”
We had one wall in the room which was too thin, but other than that, everything was equal if not better than what you would expect from a super8 hotel (which it is, by the way, though it doesnt say on the website). Ofcouse it took forever to check in, but that was because the staff is required by Chinese law to fill out a bit register form fir every foreigner that stays in hotels, i belive. Would totally recomend for people who need a better accomodation than a youth hostel, but dont want to pay lots. The building is a very old traditional building with narrow corridors. Probably not technically a hutong, but its got a bit of that feel to it.

Super tiny room as not expected. ”
We have booked the slightly larger room from this hotel which stated to have 269ft2 but we were given a super tiny room which we guess it should be the smallest room type. English is very limited but we have all those hotel documents in english and that's very hard to explain the situation with the hotel staff for the room size / room type and so we gave up and just let it be. Goods: Hotel lobby and rooms are clean. Staff is nice and friendly. Room heat is warm enough for you in the freezing winter. Bads: Washroom facilities not up to standard. Shower is a bit user-unfriendly as the sprinkler is very hard to hang up / has no where to put while you want to keep the hot water running in this freezing cold beijing winter. Toilet bowl has been blocked once during our stay and we need to ask the hotel staff for helping to fix it. Guess its related to the old drainage system in the hutong area. Besides, shower hot water is not very stable.

To admire its traditional chinese style house. good experience for stay, but the tidiness of room could be made more better. I often heard next door human's voice when they were talking and roars. This is the weakness point. fortunately, we had good sleep and stay in this hotel for 2 nights. Staff was friendly and nice. This hotel was okay with this price. Don't expect too much for this hotel, then you could be satisfied.

LOCATION : This hotel is located in a small alley (hutong) and taxi drivers will never go in to the hutong due to one-way traffic, please be prepared that you will have to walk till the junction to get a taxi. 5 to 6 mins walking distance to the nearest subway station. There are few restaurants, pharmacy and bakery shop nearby (within 3 mins walking distance). STAFF : staff are quite friendly and helpful. ROOM QUALITY : room is pretty small with limited space, ventilation system in the bathroom is not good, awful smell coming from the toilet. Overall OK.

The room is rather small but relatively clean. The hotel is located in a traditional Chinese hutong, close to several restaurant so handy if you are hungry. It is very close to subway so communiting around Beijing only cost you RMB 2 per trip.

Mitigated experience...”
- Location : convenient because 5 minutes walking to Pigan’Li subway station. However, the hotel is in a hutong, in a popular district which isn’t convinient for everybody. - Room : very clean and pretty but BAD ODOR coming from the bathroom... - Quality of the service : AWFUL 1) WE HAVE BEEN WOKEN UP AT 2:15 AM by the lobby who called us on our room phone number because they couldn’t see on our passports the airport at which we arrived in China... 2) I asked for leting my luggage until 5 pm on the day of the check-out. Right after, when I kindly asked if the room payment was done with the deposit credit card or the credit card input on Agoda booking, the receptionist was rude and requested to me « what’s wrong with you ? » I’m used to the lack of service and the laziness in China but I’ve never seen such a lack of respect to the customer... Lastly, only 1 of the 3 receptionists speaks and understands English. I don’t recommend this hotel...

Management killing the potential of the place”
save yourself the hassle and stay somewhere worth the money - not here! cons: - terrible checkin service (not helpful and even rude) - didn't find our booking upon arrival and told us to call the booking agent to clarify (don't know their own system) - wifi basically not existing, even bad perception for phone signal in the place (had to out on the street to call the booking agent). tv signal bad too. - rooms very small - shower only separated with a half transparent sliding door, sewage smelly - rather noisy since the walls are thin - no breakfast or any other food/beverage service ("we used to have a chef, but not anymore") - we broke one Ikea cup (which they left uncleaned after usage since day 1) while packing for departure and got charged 30 RMB. no water, tea etc. pros: - good location (bus, metro and beihai part right around the corner) - beds and duvets comfy - public area is nicely decorated and shows how life in such a great courtyard place could have been
