Exceptional”
The stay was great. The ladies at reception were very helpful and gave a lot of great advice. They also have food for purchase which was reasonably priced and pretty good. The area is close to the metro and a few temples are a bit of a leisurely walk away. My room had the bathroom inside, with no separation between toilet and shower. While that was fine by me, my roommates made the bathroom unbearably gross (urine all over floor and toilet seat, not unplugging the drain after brushing teeth.) It was so bad, a few times i went to the restroom upstairs. I'm not sure what could have been done (I never caught the person who was doing it) but it's not the hostel fault. They did clean the restroom every day. Just be weary if you are using this room that some people are not considerate about others having to use the same facilities.

Great place!”
Loved staying here. Central location very close to subway station. Located on an old Hutong in a old building. Felt like a local. Staff was very welcoming and accommodating. Place isn't fancy, but is a great value for the money. If you are unfussy, you will like it

Good Value for money”
I had a single room and paid 175 RMB a night. This won't buy luxury and lots of facilities. But the cleaner could be more diligent - under the bed wasn't nice. Also, bring some earplugs as the doors and the clientele could be noisy into the night. Beds hard, but I slept okay. Staff helpful without being knowledgeable. Nicely located on the north-east of the down town area 8-10 minutes from a subway station.

Good backpacker hostel”
Beijing Lucky Family Hostel was not easy to find. Once you arrived, the staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were exceptionally clean for a hostel, with cleaning personnel coming daily to wash floors, toilets, showers, etc. In-room internet not necessarily good, but strong signal in common rooms. Common rooms were comfortable with sofas, tables, and TV, plus there was a nice chat atmosphere to meet other travelers in.

A tourist friendly hostel in a quite alley ”
The hotel is located in an alley in a traditional Hutong area (Xinxi Hutong) but is not hard to find. We stayed in a private room for 3 nights and 1 night in a dorm. Both rooms are clean and orderly. There are lots of international tourists around so we did not feel isolated. The staff speaks English well and is very friendly. Going around the city is very convenient as the hostel is located very near a subway station (Zhangzizhonglu station, line 5). In fact, we we were using the subway all the time to get to our itineraries, except for the Great Wall. Overall, I would definitely recommend this hostel for travelers staying in Beijing.

cheap yet comfortable”
I enjoyed my stay here and I will most likely stay here the next time I go to Beijing. The staff was really helpful, spoke pretty good English and were willing to advise you on where to go and what to do. They even looked up locations for me and wrote them in Chinese so I could show them to the taxi drivers. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The only downside for me was that this hostel is located in a hutong which means cars can't go into the street so you may get lost looking for it late at night but there are signs if you pay close attention, you will see them.

Great value backpacker close to subway”
This is a budget option in the heart of Beijing. It is very close to the subway (5min walk) and the staff speak good English and are very helpful. My room was basic, but was good value for the price paid. The breakfast and 24 hour coffee was good and the wi-fi connection was good. Overall, great value and centrally located.

Best and bargain accommodation in Beijing”
北京性價比最高 最方便最棒的青年旅社 Dec. 2017. The toilet was inside the room with 4 beds. They provided hair dryer, kettle, locker, clothes hanger, individual warm air conditioner in each room, light and curtain on" each" bed, a small bar for social place & hot water for drink on ground floor. Each bed was marked with ABCD and hostel made good arrangement so you don't have to worry someone will move your stuff when you are away. They also trips to great wall, opera, kungfu..張自忠路 metro station was a few minutes walk away from the hostel which provided upward escalator in some exits. But not for downward. There were many banks around. I choose大光銀行 to exchange the $100 into¥ since they didn't have a long que. I bought a 中國移動 sim card when I walked to the next m station東四站and it cost me 50¥ and I didn't have to sign the two years contract. 7-11, supermarket (I bought orange) , many restaurants were a few minutes walk away. Opposite street to 7-11 you can buy kettle, plug, electric blanket, in a small shop.

Easy to commute by subway train and getting halal meals”
The location is walking distance to Zhangzhizhonglu Subway Station and easy to reach the tourist’s attraction places. The hostel’s staffs are very friendly and helpful. They can speak in English makes us easy to communicate. Staying in this area with no doubt of getting halal meals. The muslim mosque is Just 1 stop at Dongsi Station. I will stay here again when I repeat to visit Beijing.

Helpful advice and no pressure to do great wall trips with them. We went on our own the. Came back to stay. Booked 3 and stayed 6 nights. Free breakfast of toast and jam or peanut butter. Free tea and coffee all day. Rokms basic but clean and surprisingly quite but we had private room. King bed actually a double.recommended!!

Lots of potential”
The staff of this hostel are excellent - really friendly and helpful, they greet you really genuinely when they see you. That vibe carried through the whole hostel - it has two social spaces and I found the atmosphere to be the most social of any hostel I stayed in in China. The location is great, I found the hostel super easy to find based on the instructions they provide on the website and there is signage on the Hutongs as well. It's easy walking distance to a few subway stations and you could even walk to Jingshang Park, Forbidden City and Tiananmen Square if you don't mind being on your feet! My big issue with this hotel was the cleanliness - Chinese standards aside, this place was really dirty. I had to move rooms because my first one had a terrible smell (not Hutong drainage related). My second room was better but still had to have sheets changed because they were dirty and there were hairs on the mattress and pillow under the sheets. The shower, only one on the floor, was unpleasant with long hairs stuck in the tile grouting the entire time I stayed here. The place is a little noisy at times as any conversation at the front desk seems to carry through the whole building, but I use earplugs to sleep in hostels and this was fine. If they worked on the cleanliness this would be a hostel I would not hesitate to recommend. At the moment I would say go for the staff, location and atmosphere but book a room with a private bathroom and don't be afraid to speak up if something needs addressing (the staff were great when I raised my issues with them). If the cleanliness issue could be addressed this could be one of the

Perfect accommodation with minimal expenditure”
Location is near from Subway, only 10mins walkinh distance. Supermarket, laundry, restaurant is everywhere, can't even decide where to eat. This area is very Muslim friendly as well, you'll be spoilt with choices of foods. And if none of them suit your taste, just take the subway, one stop away to DongSi station where you can find a mosque and lots of places to eat nearby. Hostel’s manager and staffs are friendly and did their best to accommodate your needs. There's nothing that they won't do for you. But then again, downside is that the room, wall esp is kinda old with lots of cracks and hole which obv needs to be repaired. Hot water dispenser is nowhere to be found eventho there's a signage (of course the staff will me more than happy to assist but how often do you need em to fill up your jug when you can actually do it on your own if only it's visible & accessible?) Overall, you get what you're paying for.

Owner and staffs are lovely and helpful. They can speak english and give me many advice. The location is a bit far from nearest subway(maybe 500 m) but it's not a problem. Convenience stores and many food shops locate around hostel. Room and wifi are ok.

Good value if you don't mind the hard, springy bed”
This hostel is about what you'd expect for the budget traveler. I was in Beijing for day to take care of some business and just needed an affordable place to stay that was conveniently located. Good price for private room, clean and simple. In the morning, I asked for their "Swiss" breakfast but they brought me some French toast instead. It would have been better if they'd told me they didn't have what I ordered instead of simply bringing me the wrong item. The did, however, give me a very good cup of cappuccino. The only reason I would not recommend this hostel is because the bed was rather hard and I could feel the springs. They should really have more comfortable beds, especially in their private rooms.
