My girlfriend and I were both first-timers in HK. Instantly, we fell in love with how the MTR is such an effective and efficient way to travel. And you know what made the experience better? Having to stay at BlueJay Residence who is literally just beside the exit of Lei Tung station. Staff are welcoming yet very quiet. But we are always delighted to see a fresh box of drinking water and clean set of towels whenever we return from our tours. Value for money is 5-stars as well. I guess it's best that you familiarize yourself first with the "living spaces" in HK to help manage your expectations. Within the vicinity are lots of stores that sell affordable and quality street food. You can also walk your way around the tiny area where Circle K and 7-Eleven co-exist. Haha! We loved our stay here and we are definitely coming back.
Great location and economical. The staff was helpful and nice as well. However, the room was too tiny. From the door to the bathroom, five steps; from the bed to the bathroom, one step. And it’s not hygienic enough. I found a bottle of drink belong to the last visitor in the fridge. That’s disgusting. Also, the room was dark due to the lack of lights. I think there’re only three light bulbs in the room. But if you open the curtains, you won’t know whether you are being peeped or not. Just want a bed? I can tell u that the bed wasn’t comfortable in any sense, it’s hard and its spring was clearly broken. For travellers who get limited budget, it is still a 6 because of its great location, absolutely convenient and bustling and allows you to experience the old hk fish village. But, yeah, in sum, my opinion is think twice. There’re some better choices at the same price (around 300-400 hkd).
The place is very tiny tiny, cannot even open whole cabin baggage. The location is not so far from the city but quite far from the airport. Once you check out, you cannot even use the washroom. They says they don’t have one at the lobby. 2 out of 3 staff are not very fluent in English which is hard if you have any questions related to traveling. Apart from all, the place is quite clean but on our first night they didn’t clean the sheet as they mentioned they would but the rest of the night they did. P.s. cleaner cannot speak English.
