I stayed in a chalet room for two days and one night. This information was not listed on Agoda but was learned from an email from the hotel: 1. Includes dinner and breakfast 2. Tea time starts at 3:30 PM (with some light snacks included) 3. Includes a river cruise from 4 PM to 6 PM 4. Includes a morning river cruise from 6 AM to 7 AM 5. We wanted to visit caves, a tarsier and orangutan sanctuary, etc., so we rented a car; however, if we had stayed in Sandakan city the day before, there would have been a round-trip transfer included, although the time would be limited. Overall, I think the cost performance is quite good. By the way, the jacuzzi bath in the chalet, which is common in overseas accommodations, was disappointing as it didn't get hot and was essentially only usable for a shower. But aside from that, the room was nice. You can enjoy this with a reservation here without having to join an expensive tour from Japan, for about *** yen for two people. We saw all the BIG5 of Borneo during our two river cruises! Moreover, we witnessed a moment when an elephant crossed the river and when an orangutan climbed across the river using a rope, which our guide said was a miracle! It depends on luck, but you can have a fulfilling day. I highly recommend the night walk organized by the host (from 8 PM for an hour). For only 30 ringgit, we were able to observe many birds and insects. It's something you would never find on your own, so it's best to leave it to the experts. If you're taken by a microbus, it looks like they pick you up from Sandakan city around 11 AM and return towards Sandakan city the next morning at 8:30 AM.
