Bayu Dive Lodge is ideally located on the long beach on Perhentian Besar. The wooden bungalows are all very nice and clean. First we stayed in a simple fan room for three nights, then we had to move to an A/C room as we decided to extend our stay but the room was already reserved. First we stayed in a simple fan room for three nights, then we had to move to an A/C room as we decided to extend our stay but the room was already reserved. We were very satisfied with both of the rooms. Despite the hot weather even the fan room was pleasently cool to stay in during the day. The staff is very friendly and helpful, they do everything to make you feel welcome. The beach is beautiful but it’s not the best on the island - you need to cross to the other side for more remore beaches and stunning views. Breakfast is delicious and they also have a restaurant. We never tried it, because prices are double of what you’d pay elsewhere. The only problem we had was with thw wifi connection - it was almost always useless in the rooms. Other than that it was a perfect place and reasonably prices compared to other options on the Perhentian Islands.
