Where to stay in Florence
Florence hotels & accommodations

This is our third time stay in C-hotels in Florence. Twice in Ambassador and once in Joy hotel around the corner! Don't know where to start or stop complimenting this hotel as we are just in love with staying here every time. Excellent staff, special mention to Matteo at the front desk as he was a legend this time round... location superb just across the train station...

Hotel Veneto was by far my most 3 comfortable nights stay in Florence . The only sad side, having to walk about 5-7mins from the Firenze Santa Maria Novella railway station (Florence railway station.) With it crackly tiny road, pulling my heavy luggage to this hotel was a real killing moment. But upon arriving to my room, from the tired face becomes happy face. The h...

The room was very spacious, bright and clean. It provided all the ammenities needed for a holiday in Florence including great storage and hanging space, very effective fan, comfy bed and a great view. The two windows are huge and we had a great view towards the Duomo and across the terracotta roofs of Florence. There's also a TV if you need one. The room is also tid...

The location of the hotel was very convenient for us as we were traveling by train. It was on the street directly opposite the train station about 5 minute walk. The concierge was standing at the gate and helped us in with our luggage something we didn't experience in any of the 4 star hotels in Italy. Check in was quick. The room itself was very nice and clean and ver...

this is the best hotel we have stayed for our Italy trip. I can say this hotel is really out of our expectations and the design is really trendy and unique. Also, the location of the hotel is superb,, close to the central station as well as those sightseeing spots. Its so nice to stay here with my boyfriend. Everything is great except there is no lift to reach to fifth...

My husband and I are traveling through Italy and this was our first stop. Unfortunately, the other hotels along our trip just don’t live up to this one! The amentities were great (your stay includes a nice sized gym to use, and access to the spa with very reasonably priced services), the hotel was so clean, chic, and centrally located (very convenient to get around), a...

Hotel Duomo is right next to the Duomo in Florence. The rooms are beautiful, we are allowed to use the existing items in the room fridge with no cost. If one does not want to pay for the breakfast, you may still have coffee or tea any time of day or night for free. The staff is extraordinary: professional, kind, knowledgeable, helpful. I had one heavy bag and Sonia...

i stayed 5 nights here and this hotel is the best! they have fresh breakfast and strict safety system! Among a lots of good points, the best are people working in hotel rapallo!! Including Alexandro and Regina, everyone in hotel rapallo are so nice and tje best people i met in florence!

I stayed a day in Florence in this Hotel honestly by the end of my travels this has been the best places I've stayed the satff is so nice and give you the best optional routes to go site seeing and the recommendation they give you for the place to eat is spot on. Hotel is pretty clean, if there something they should.improve should be the size of the beads they where to...

The 5 of us stayed for 4 nights and the experience was superb. We love the rooms...the size was good and the decor simple and clean. There s also a small balcony in our units. The staff at the reception were efficient and courteous. Location was excellent as it s only 5 mins away from Firenze SMN train station. There are many restaurants along the street and there s a ...

In a last minute decision traveling through Italy, we wanted to stay in Florence for just a night. Booking online at a busy time of year, they were unable to fill our reservation when we arrived- but(!) they upgraded us to their nicest suite honoring our online rate! With charm and humor, they treated us very well and were extremely helpful. Great choice!

We stayed in executive suite. The suite is very beautiful! We enjoyed our stay in Residenza Castiglioni. It’s our first visit In Florence and were so glad we picked this B&B and stayed in one of their beautiful suite. Perfect location. Walking distance to train station and to everywhere. In the centre of shopping area and lots of restaurants nearby. The staff are frien...

I just returned from spending 10 days in Florence, stayed in this wonderful little hotel in the very center of the city. You can't wish for better value for money. The hotel is small, very clean, rooms are lovely and have everything you might need, the staff is friendly and helpful, breakfast is good-complete with delicious pastries. But the best part is the location. You're 2 ...

We enjoyed our three night stay here. Was super close to the train station in Florence and was walking distance to the main shopping/restaurant district however is a walk. Give yourself 5-10 mins to get in to the action from this hotel. Great breakfast option, probably the best we had from any hotel during our travels.

Our Italy trip. This hotel is the best. Bed is super comfortable, location is just next to city center only 1-2 mins. Room is very big and facility here is all you need. I love the most is bed and breakfast. Staff is also nice to. We arrived quite late at 10pm and met old man staff but he's so nice and willing to answer all question, to show us everything and also help...

This is a lovely hotel very central within walking distance of everything you want to see. There are several restaurants in the same street but not far to walk to the center. The rooms are very small, but they provide a computer for your use and a power board. Bed was comfortable but pillows were hard, but that seems to be common in most places we have stayed. The brea...

The hotel was superb! It was nicely situated along the river. It was about a 20 minute walk to the ponte vecchio but it was such a lovely walk and there were great open parks and gatherings along the way. We were actually glad that it was a little bit away from everything or we would have missed out on seeing such a lively part of the city! The hotel and its staff wer...

While still a part of the historical center of Florence, I find that this place is in the periphery of the city center where tourists tend to flock. Nonetheless, anyone with a good pair of legs will find this hotel to be located within a reasonable distance. It is in the same block as the Church of Santa Croce but it is a big block. I walk slow to appreciate the pla...

Built during the Renaissance period the building and its rooms are old, but so is Florence. This hotel is in a perfect location with just short walk to sightseeing locations, markets, shops and eateries. Staff here are the best we have ever encountered. Very friendly and willing to help. Be warned there is no lift but they have a porter who will carry bags. This hot...

We stayed here for 4 nights initially in the 3rd week of Aug 2016 and we loved the hotel and its feel, so much that we came back for an over nighter the following week. It is walking distance from the train station (pro tip: the underground tunnel from Firenze SMN exits directly in front of the hotel, so no need to drag luggage on the side walk). Rooms are well appoint...

Hotel is right in the middle of town. No need for taxi. Rooms were clean and spacious. The staff was great! We didn't get our luggage for 3 days and the staff brought us all the essentials we would need until our luggage arrived. They even called the airlines for us. The spa is great! My husband and I had hot stone massages. Well worth the price, which was very reasona...

The location was centrally located in Florence to give you easy access to all the plazas, museums, and monuments your heart desires to see on your trip, and the staff was sublime! Assisted us in printing flight itineraries we needed as we continued the rest of our trip around Europe, and gave great recommendations on where to eat, what to see, etc. Would book again, ...

I was in Florence for one night at the end of a trip to Italy, and I knew I wanted to see the Duomo and The David. This location was perfect. The hotel staff was extremely friendly and helpful, the room was so clean and roomy, and I loved the smell of the shower gel. I needed to leave early in the morning so they arranged a cab for me, and made sure I was all settle...
Cheap places to stay in Florence

Hard to find! There was no signage until you were *in* the building. It was a cheap bed to sleep in. I was on the top bunk and the ladder hurt my feet (narrow metal rails), but my room had its own bathroom, which I wasn't expecting. The communal bathroom's sink looked like it was going to fall apart. I wouldn't want to stay here for more than one night. Convenient lo...

I have booked a quadruple family room with attached bathroom in HOSTEL ARCHI ROSSI. After reporting at the Hostel, they informed that I've been allocated in their partner HOTEL named MIA CARA located in the adjacent building, as I've booked family room with them. MIA CARA is just too good. Be it location, spacious rooms, decor, cleanliness, breakfast, staff behaviour...

The hotel is only 5 minutes walk from the railway station in Florence. It is located in the historical centre and all the main attractions including the Duomo, Basillica of Santa Maria Novella is only a few minutes walk from the hotel. The staff speak good English and is very helpful and friendly. One of the hotel staff, Elton, even showed us the best places to eat and...

The location is good as it is close to the main train station. The room is spacious, freshly decorated and very clean. Staffs were friendly and helpful. I would be happy to stay in the same place again if I re-visit Florence in future. The only thing you need to be aware of is there is no lift and the stair is kind of narrow otherwise all things are good.

don't believe anyone who says this hotel is in a good location. it's located in a residential area of florence, and is a 30 min walk from the action. i must've walked 10 km everyday back and forth - good thing if you're wanting to lose a few lbs i guess. the hotel itself doesn't have much going for it either (yes, i know it's a budget hotel - that's why i picked ...

So many opinions, so many variable needs. Opinion- dirty, no just a bit old but clean and functional. Close to the airport, true but I needed to get into Florence, 4.7km. If you are walking use the main road DO NOT use a GPS track through the park, at the end it goes through about 1 km of very dangerous narrow road. 2/3 of the staff were very good, manager was ve...

I stayed here for two nights while touring Florence. This hotel is located on the second floor of a building so it was a bit confusing for me to locate it at first (but this makes this hotel a safe one to stay). Also the elevator is not auto; it is an old-fashioned one with a button to be pushed manually to lift up. I found it very interesting though since this broug...

We originally booked a room from iH Hotels Firenze Business and spent our first night in Florence there, but one-way taxi trips (12 mins.) to the city center came up to 30€ so we decided to book Hotel Desiree last minute and we were so glad we did. The staff was super friendly, the night was only 48€, the location was unbeatable, only 2 min. walk from the train station...

We are a muslim couple, in transit from Rome to Venice. The hotel is well located, short walking distance from the Firenze SM Novella train station (very handy coming from Rome by train). Walking distance to Piazza del Duomo, Centro Storico and few other monuments as well as shopping district. More importantly for us, the halal restaurant (fast food) is just next door ...

This is an older building and is very historical. It is a few minutes walk from the train station, Dave Statue and the food markets. The staff is very helpful and sweet. Because of the historical status of the building, some rooms have shared bathrooms and the rooms are small. Otherwise it is a great hotel for a short stay in Florence, Italy.

Staff was great at accommodating our late arrival and different schedule. There is not a 24 hour staff person available however, and we found that emailing Lorenzo was the easiest way to communicate. It is on the third floor so be prepared to climb the stairs.

We had a small hire car with us and the Hotel offered us free car parking on site which is normally 15Euro per car per day. I think we got free parking because it was low season and there weren't many other guests with cars as our car was the only one parked in their small courtyard. Rooms are very basic for a 3-star hotel, there was no fridge, no tea and coffee making...

We had read mixed reviews of the Hotel but our experience was thoroughly positive. The staff were very helpful from the minute we arrived, our room was clean and well-sized to larger than some other more expensive hotels (particularly compared to our Roma hotel). Bathroom was clean and had all the needful, and breakfast too was very adequate (juice, yogurt, croissant w...

Across the road from the train station and around the corner from Florence Centre, perfect location. To attract the manager to get access, call the number on the door, the ones on the website don’t work. We waited 20 minutes not sure if we could get in! Breakfast isn’t included as stated, you receive a ticket to get a reduction on a Café down the road. Didn’t look to ...

The hostel is based on a antique building on Florence's historical center. The stone stairs, the huge wooden doors, the cold solidness of the walls, it all sends you back in time. However its the interest of the staff in creating a good vibe is, IMHO, is their brightest quality. I stayed just one night. In that night, the staff made a communal dinner, a delicious pasta...

I was transferred to another BnB on the date of check in due to my room was not in shape. The owner is very communicable and lead me to the replacement. The replacement is overall not bad. Good location with friendly staff who will explain Florence in details to you in the first place.

This is a large, well-run campsite with great facilities. The two pools were great, very clean and a good size. The restaurant was lovely, good selection and very tasty. We went in August and you do need to book during the day for that evening. The chalet was very clean and well stocked with crockery, cutlery etc. Air con, towels and sheets all included. Both bedrooms ...

A great value and so close to the Florence airport. Right around the corner from a bus stop which made it easy to go back to the City Market to shop. The staff was super about giving transportation instructions and also getting a reliable driver to pick us up before 5 AM to go to the airport. When I return to Italy this will definitely be the hotel I select for the nigh...

Thank you Domenico for your hospitality. It was a warm welcome. My favourite has got to be the kitchen and the bikes for guests. We missed cooking back at home and we made dinner here with delicious Italian produce. L’Arancia provides all the basics (including olive oil and good pots and pans to cook with). The bikes were awesome. There were only two available but the ...

Great little studio apartment, bathroom a little cramped for a big guy, but a cracking view over the rooftops to the dome. The facilities were good, but no washing machine, launderette just in the next street. Tom floor with a number of stairs. Turn right and there is a great little shop on the opposite corner for cheese, salami, olives etc..

Beside the river, bridge and near central Florence. Hotel is very stylish that tourist would stop to take photo for it. Room is spacious and staff is nice. Need to consider if you drive there, although carpark is provided with charges, the road to reach the hotel are all restricted area and likely you would get ticket if you don't have permit.

It is the most charming hotel we have ever been to! The building is in the heart of the Florence and it is 800 years old! It has so many original details! Beautiful garden is simply perfect to start your day in with a perfect cup of coffee and snacks amazing breakfast! As well it is a perfect place to have a spritz after a long day of walking and side seeing. Staff is...

When you got lost around the city and you're trying to beat the checkout time of 12noon, the sweetest thing you'll hear from the reception staff is "it's absolutely ok, take your time, madam". This is how friendly and warm the staff is at Star Hotels Michaelangelo, looking after their guests. When I arrived from an early morning flight from Paris, like many of the ho...

The hotel is in the centre of Firenze with most of the attractions right at your doorstep. The staff were excellent and friendly and the room was very comfortable with a character that lets you feel the life of the city. Overall a very good choice if you are going to Florence.

Two nights here and I am bowled over by this hotel. Staff are great, friendly and knowledgeable (special mention for Alessia on reception), excellent breakfast selection and spotless, comfortable room with very efficient aircon and powerful shower. After a day sightseeing in the heat and crowds, the rooftop pool was a godsend to cool off, lots of people enjoying it s...

Hotel Tornabuoni Beacci was a very well located hotel in Florence, near everything. The rooms are ample , except our bathroom was very small. It was hard to open and close the door to get out. The hotel is very clean. The service could be more friendly and attentive. The receptionist was adequate, The female head staff was efficient. There was no one to help with ou...

Hotel staff were friendly and very helpful, plus we got upgraded to a bigger room. Staff helped arrange our day tours and train bookings. Hotel is very close to the tourist attractions of Florence and also to the central train station. Very convenient... would stay there again.

Great stay. We really appreciated the modern room design and level of cleanliness in the hotel, which is hard to come by in Europe for this budget level. This is in a decent location with easy access to public transportation into center of Florence. Hotel should provide free wifi though, that was slightly inconvenient.

We loved every part of our stay at Hotel Milu! My husband and I traveled here for a "second honeymoon" and wanted something nice but reasonably-priced, and not too far from the central area of Florence. This was a perfect choice. It is chic, modern, clean, upscale, and is only a couple streets tucked away from the piazzas. It may not always be super quiet at night when...

the hotel entrance seems like youre entering a beautiful old winery. a big white wall with gold lettering opens into a great little courtyard with tables and chairs, dotted with large pot plants of lemon trees. welcoming and helpful staff at reception, in the bar and friendly cleaning staff. a nice 1k walk along river to main square and shopping. staff at hotel organiz...

The Santa Croce displayed a high level of professionalism, good manners and customer service from the moment we stepped in till the time we had to leave. Our room was immaculate and very well appointed. The public rooms in the hotel need to be seen to be believed. We felt as though we were staying in one of the opulent palaces Florence is so famous for. Its location w...

We stayed at this hotel for the new year with a couple of old friends of ours. Firstly the hotel is bang n the centre of everything, 10 min walk to practically all the sights and the best restaurants. We stayed in one of the junior suites - nice big room which was recently redecorated, also consisted of a high vaulted ceiling with a beautiful fresco painting on it. C...

Sadly, I can't really recommend this hotel any longer although staying there several times previously. They remodeled and from the outside things look very modern and fancy. However, they sadly lack basic necessities in the bathroom, like places to hang and put your things. The half glassed in shower curtain lets water spew out onto the floor no matter how careful ...

Images don't show whole beauty of this hotel, and I mean it. While choosing a hotel to stay in Florence, I wanted something old-fashioned, Italian, something authentic. This hotel seemed to be like that, however, I was afraid to arrive at the room with rubbed furniture. But when we entered a lobby and saw the celling, floor, furniture, we seemed to be in a fairytale. ...

Beautiful place. Views very pretty from pool and restaurant. Family room was very nice, spacious and separate shower room for children. Kids loved the pool and we spent most of our days relaxing there. We walked into Florence late afternoon to do our sightseeing when it was a bit cooler. 30 min walk which we enjoyed but might be too strenuous on way home uphill for som...

Hotel is beautiful, location just outside of Florence is great, staff were very friendly and really made us feel at home. Needs improvement in cleanliness (carpet in the room, some other small areas) it's not a huge issue but not expected from a 5 starts hotel. Would be good to have a much larger selection of options on TV (Netflix, videos on demand). Overall, with...

we were travelling for honeymoon, and all savoy hotel is very good in terms of service and comfort. the issue however is that in Florence savoy hotel is located at the very center of the city where driving is nearly impossible. and you know Italy with its traffic blockage here and there make us very frustrated at first. I know people say take public transport but at ti...

One day in this town is more than enough. Go and see David, book a tour to see Tuscany's wine/olive/food and move on some where else, there isn't anything else to do
Florence is a beautiful city. We used 3 days to enjoy the beauty of Florence. We enjoyed the food, shopping, and the beauty of the Church.
If you more time in Firenze, just take Tuscany tour. It will take you to Siena & San Gimignano. Besides well known Pisa, Siena & San Gimiganano really marvelous two medieval towns.
We enjoyed this place just wish we had a little longer as we only had 3 nights, as there is so much to do and enjoy.
Other than the Uffizi museum, we only strolled through the city. And I didnt go up the Duomo as its entrance was not cheap.
I love Florence and this was my fourth time there. Each time I go I seem to discover different things.
Nice interesting city with lots of sight seeing. If u don't mind cycling, it's quite ideal to cycle around the city and easy to park the bicycle.
Florence is a small city bursting with culture and history, it's impossible to explore everything in one day.
Beautiful City , you need to visit Florence and Tuscanny if you visit Italy . Culture Architecture and so many things to do .
