Helsinki hotels & accommodations
If you are travelling for business you will sometimes get used or be satisfied with smaller and more uncomfortable rooms. This time I was choosing Hilton spontaneously because of a nice price offer which was absolutely comparable with the price of many other Helsinki Hotels and was rewarded with an oasis of peace, comfort and hospitality. The Hotel is drectly located n...
The single rooms are small but so well designed, they don't feel cramped. It had everything you could need - comfortable bed, great shower, tea making facilities, well insulated, good climate control. It's perfect for travellers who are out all day and just need a comfortable place to sleep. The staff couldn't be more helpful and welcoming. Breakfast is excellent - fre...
We booked this for my uncle and my review is based on his experience. I've posted a separate review for my wife and I who had a room on a floor below. Room provided was on the top (8th) floor and was right at the end of the corridor, so not only was it quiet but well laid-out, clean and modern. Free wi-fi provided in the room as well as free robe, slippers, hair dryer...
This is a very nice hotel and a very good option for the airport. We had a very early flight, so we didn't want to be far from the airport. They provided a shuttle at 1 am (when we got in) and at 4:30 am the day after to get back to the hotel. We also went into Helsinki and had a very nice day. The hotel hooked us up with a bus that is just a minute behind the h...
Strand is just like any other good hotel in Helsinki - they all seem to be pretty much the same. Despite the fact that Strand has the reputation of being one of the very best, it doesn't really stand out of the crowd. Don't take me wrong - Strand is still a very good hotel and I will be happy to stay there again! But not if the price is considerably higher than others'...
We loved everything about this hotel, rooms, service and breakfast. The best thing that you can take a bike for free and ride all over Helsinki. There is a tram station across the road , so you can just take tram and go wherever anytime. Radisson Seaside is the best hotel I have been so far, makes you wanna come back and stay longer time.
I had a horrible time when I first arrived to checked in. I made a reservation through agoda for a private room (double bed) but when I arrived, the staff informed me that I was booked as a dorm. I showed my confirmation but the system had me as a dorm and they were sold out in private room to offer me. I contacted agoda and on a hold for 30 mins, but I could get conn...
I spent two days in this great hotel and I will do the same next time I am in Finland. The hotel is located very close to the airport and not minding the fact I landed very late at night, the hotel sent their shuttle to pick me up. The room was spacious and had everything I ever wanted from wonderful lists of channels on the flat screen TV, a speedy wifi, clean towels,...
Huone erinomainen laadukkaine kalusteineen, aamupala riittävä, henkilökunta hyvin ystävällistä, kulkuyhteydet keskustaan raitiovaunulla hyvät (linja 9 rautatieasemalle alle 15 min, pysäkki n. 200m, myös linja 8 kulkee hotellin vierestä).
I walked to and from center of Helsinki several times but there is also a metro station nearby. A lot of road construction outside. Inside it was a peaceful haven. Good buffet lunch and breakfast
Pros : location of hotel is excellent Front desk staff was really good and helpful. Cons: pics in the website is misleading. It is actually a very small hotel. Don’t choose the rooms with no windows. This summer was extremely hot, there was no air conditioning in the room and it was like living in a box. The front desk staff was most helpful in gettin...
The hotel has the perfect location to reach almost any spot in Helsinki. The design of the hotel is quite stylish and the rooms are new. It is very clean. Breakfast is also a good option to choose. Hotel can be a bit expensive, if you don't book early. But I guess this is the same with most hotels in Helsinki. Book it! It's a good choice!
i spent three nights at the Sokos Hotel Vantaa because it was close to public transportation and Helsinki. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel was set up for business meetings as well as a clean, safe place for tourists. The restaurant had great food as did the breakfast buffet.
Very nice, quiet, clean and well managed hotel in the Heart of Helsinki just opposite to Kamppi. Liked the bed and well equipped room with good tv and utilities (ironing board and iron).
The hotel is in the heart of Helsinki, opposite the Stockmann shopping center and a short walk from the train station. Hence access to all city attractions and easy access to the airport. Near many restaurants, bars and nightclubs. The hotel has a small, but very clean and comfortable rooms. The rooms are well equipped. Very friendly reception desk. Explained to me in ...
Enroute from Sasebo, Japan via Helsinki Holiday inn to Italy. Spent the afternoon at Holiday Inn Helsinki, from the moment I landed I felt everything was organized Andy in place in Helsinki. The free shuttle bus that stops right outside the terminal, on the bus itself is the name "Free Hotel Bus" that takes about 15 minutes. And though the bus schedule for weekday a...
The hotel is in a good location, only a few blocks walk from the centre of town. The rooms are modernly furnished with plenty of space for luggage. Our room was on the backside of the hotel and very quiet. The breakfast buffet is excellent with some variation from day-to-day and has a good choice range to please everyone. We also had dinner one night in the hotel a...
This hostel is hard to miss because it seemed to be the only hostel in the island. Very comfortable, and even if there is no one at the reception, they have systems in place to help you (esp. if you come after hours). Hotel typical clean friendly Scandinavian hotel .Everything you need but no frills. Ten minutes walk to Pasila Railway station for Allegro train to St. petersburg. This hotel is highly recommended to anyone whom is travelling in Helsinki, looking for great location near city centre and at the same time affordable pricing. The inhouse kitchenette is a great feature for travellers, e.g. family with kids, whom wishes to prepare food.
First try with hotel with no reception. Feels strange but everything worked out OK. Good suana and equipment in kitchen. Large room and hight ceilings in old house. Only 5 min walk to central market place in central Helsinki.
Stayed in the studio apartment, which is 27 sq.m. Small but very clean and functional and the kitchen is perfectly designed and stocked, so only have to purchase your groceries. Almost all of the utensils are made by IKEA. Basically furnished but new and looked after. Perfect for business in central Helsinki and walking distance to harbour for day cruises along the c...
Have stayed twice now, once in a one bedroom flat and this time in the studio flat. The room was spacious and light. Furnishings were modern. Shower excellent. Position in Helsinki good for transport, walking to market and shops. Quiet neighbourhood. Will certainly be using Sato Hotelhome again as my son and family live in Helsinki and I visit regularly.

The hotel is located away from the city center but there are 2 bus stops, one in front and one at the back of the hotel which makes it very convenient. The rooms are clean and nicely decorated. The apartment is clean and tidy with modern design. All facilities in the room are in good condition. The staff is polite and helpful too. Suggest you really take the time to soak up the atmosphere and engage with the historical relevance of this place.
Had been in Helsinki many years ago and knew there were not many things I am attracted to. In the 3-4 hours we stayed here this time, we found the city had change significantly around the Station area.
Helsinki is a very clean city with very heartwarming locals who are friendly enough to engage in small talk.
The Galleries are nearby; the harbour is near and great to walk around, at times the city is very hilly
Helsinki is a beautiful city in the summer. I absolutely recommend it in the summer time. If you want to come to Finland during winter, then go to North, to Lapland, where you can ski.
Easy access to public transport, Close to shopping areas, Easy access to the airport, Wide variety of buffet breakfast, Close to local restaurants
Helsinki is a small, but really great city. There is several green parks and areas and the market where you can buy fresh berries and pees, therefore I would definitely recommend you so visit the city during summer months, if it is a mix of relaxation and sightseeing you are looking for.
nordic design and some sightseeing places. winter time is not a good choice to enjoy helsinki but you can enjoy cozy dinner time inside the restaurants.
This city is not crowded even during the week day. Nice and friendly people. Very clean city, wonderful transportation, equipped with train, bus, tramand metro subway.
We had a really good time in Helsinki, lots to do and see, people are friendly, food was good but a little expensive depending where you ate.
Excellent Public Transport Do not take Taxi; very expensive Take FINBUS (Airport Shuttle (Airport - City)_; 6.
The people of Helsinki are very friendly and the city is safe and organized. I would like to go back and the food is great :) I definitely will go back.
It is a nice place to visit but there isn't much to do after two days. Finnish people are very quiet and therefore seem unfriendly.
Helsinki was good for a few days, walking around and seeing the many sights. I think it would be best visited in summer (we went in a rainy winter and it was a bit drab and prevented us from checking out the islands).
Public transport is an efficient way to see the city giving access to busses, trams, metro and ferries.
Most of the shops close at 6pm. Night activities is very limited. It is a small city which can be explored within 2 days.
It's friendly and accessible little city. Green trees cover the most part of the city with really modern infrastructure.
The city is very quiet, people are rather shy than friendly. Summer will be the best season to visit for long day light time
Its a friendly city, I found the young people can speak english, so if you need directions you are better off asking the younger ones.
It's very pretty city. Buildings are colorful and classic style. The commodity price is relatively expensive but people are nice.
Helsinki is a modern city with some interesting history. Not too big to explore in a few days. Surrounded by sea and nature.
Market Square and the shops near the Square are the laces to visit. Easy city to navigate by bicycles.
I believe the winter would be extreamly beautiful there. And in June, there will be free concerts in the city and festival with fantastic experience for you!
The city centre like in most European cities is a tight area with a diameter of 4 kms. Most can be seen on foot.
It was a wonderful day trip from Estonia. We wish we could have spent more time there as there was a lot to see and do.
