The hotel and the room is very good. The location is just next to the Mont. St. Salvarto and the train station of Lugano Paradiso, 3 mins walk to the Lugano lake and 15 mins to the old town. The staff there were very friendly and they can speak several languages. My room has a balcony facing the mountain, quite and very comfortable.

Our first time in Lugano and we stayed at IBis budget. The room can be quite small but for the price it was ok. Enough for 3 adults. There were plenty of amenities such as restaurants and grocery store nearby. Overall satisfied with our stay.
Everything you'd expect from a 5 star hotel. However, be careful of the complimentary 30min free wifi. I was charged a daily rate for not disconnecting once I was finished. Subsequently I was even charged double! Courtesy shuttle to lugano train station and city centre is a bonus tho.

We have booked this hotel to participate at a birthday party in Morcote. The room was great with lake view. It was clean and the people very friendly. The breakfast was served at the table again with lake-view and the breadbasket served by the kitchen. I can only recommend this place.

If you looking for budget stay at Lugano you may considering this Ibis Budget Lugano which you might mistaken with the next door Ibis Lugano ( without the Budget word ). Both actually in different building sharing same lobby. That's why if you looking just for a budget and simple overnight just go for Ibis Budget Lugano.

We stayed at Lugano for 1 night before heading to Italy. The train networks in Europe is really good so we should have go straight from Lucerne to Milan instead of stopping over at Lugano.
Nice historic town with beautiful parks and wonderful Italian food. Nice little excursions out of town, includng short hops across to Northern Italy via the ferrys for "cheaper shopping and food".
Lugano is at the lake of Lugano. Very nice is the promenade at the lake. If you like you can take a boat on the lake.

The Lugano lake is very nice and you can also enjoy a relax city walk at down town, which is 5 min distance by bus!
