Best way to experience Con Dao!”
I can only recommend Con Dao Camping highly. The Rooms are simple, but have everything you need (eg a fridge) and are impeccably clean. Room service daily to clean out sand, change towels etc. The reception staff is extremely friendly, speaks English very well and can help with any request. The site is lovingly made, with green patches and palm trees right at the beach. Everything in town (bars, restaurants, stores) can be reached by foot easily. Everything else on the island can be reached by bike.

Great little place”
We've stayed here before and would stay here again if we were to visit Con Dao. There isn't really anything on site as far as entertainment or eating is concerned, but there are quite a few restaurants across the road. The rooms are clean and cosy, the AC and wifi work. The staff are lovely. There was a huge storm in Vietnam when we stayed this time. Water from the mountains flooded the whole site so they relocated us to a hotel across the street. Really can only say good things.

Great beach-front property ”
Con Dao Camping is in an excellent location, right on the beach and in walking distance of town. The staff, some of whom speak English, are friendly and helpful. Beach-facing units are far superior for not much more money.

Lovely Stay”
If you're in a bungalow facing the beach, it feels very welcoming and natural, however the two rooms we stayed in smelled like mold and water damage. I think they could have significantly benefitted from providing some type of shaded lounge chairs or shaded hammocks, but there were none at all. Thus, the price seems too high.

Great location and a good deal for the price, however not comparable for what we got in other places in Vietnam for the same amount of money. The cabins are a bit run-down. Front staff is friendly but other than that there were no "extra" amenities of speak of. This place has great potential but the execution is fair.

Furniture and utilities are very poor. When we came, no receptionist was there and we had to wait for 30 mins. If I didn't try to find staff there, maybe we had to wait much longer as no one knew our appearance. Btw, the receptionist behavior was good and very helpful. The room was not as good as the photo and everything looked very old and not clean. Mosquitoes were a lot.

Mosquito ridden room ”
There were a zillion mosquitos in our room and a bagged up net but no hook to hang it, so utterly useless. Breakfast was lame and the bathroom was mouldy. Only good things about the place was the woman at reception who is friendly, coffee which is good and the beach which is lovely. But don’t stay here. Stay somewhere better, rent a motorbike and ride to the beach.

The hotel has very good location, but the beach where the hotel is located is not beautiful. It's close to the harbour bridge. And there was one thing really disappointed me was the bathroom. It was stuck all the time and I had complaint about this with the staff there but then there was no improvement. By the way, the staffs were friendly and helpful!

The mosquitos were worse inside than out. You could not be in the room unless you were under the net. I got many bites in the bathroom using the shower and toilet. And that was after trying to clear out and kill as many as I could with a flip flop. The beach was beautiful, but there is no shade and no chairs. You cannot lay on the beach without getting bit by sand fleas. We went to another hotel and another beach for the last day and night and did not have problems with mosquitos or sand fleas.

Great location, poor upkeep”
This place is right on the beach and walking distance to everything in Con Dao town. I love a scruffy beach bungalow, but it appears they have let this property lapse into disrepair. We had rats and mice in our walls, a pack of street dogs fighting on the beach all night, and various levels of working plumbing. They were gracious in letting us check out early. I hope they bring the level up to something that feels a little more maintained, because they have such a great location.

The place has no security, located in an open street. Reception is placed in a dark corner where guest has to come through a water spill, the room is below expectation for beddings, toilet. The refreshment shop is operated by an unfriendly staff. We left the place within 30mins and found a completely new and luxurious place to treat ourselves in such a beautiful island. The only good thing is the receptionist tried her bét to help with local information

good hotel with great service”
the room was basic and clean. as i read some previous reviews, some of them said that the room was not clean therefore i was afraid at first but when i came there, it was beyond my expectation. the room was clean but basic and i did not need anything more than that. one more thing, there was tropical low pressure when i stayed there. for the safety of us, the hotel did execute us to a nearby resort and they were responsible for the fee at the resort which was double the price at con dao camping hotel. we really appreciate that. i suggest to rent a bicycle to discover nearby places. it is awesome riding around by bike, breathing fresh air as you gaze at the sea, the moutain. in addition, the bicycle rental fee was vnd /24 hours, nearly 3 times cheaper than the motorbike's. the receptionists was friendly, they assisted us carefully with enthusiasm.

Quickly little place in a relaxing setting”
Strengths- Good value for money and comfortable little bungalows. The bathrooms now have roofs so issues with bugs from other reviews arent really an issue now. Limited menu but all very nice. You have breakfast overlooking the harbour to your left and sea/ mountains to the right- lovely. The gardens were well maintained and created a little green paradise by the beach. Downsides- The beach however has lots of litter on (as did all the other beaches on con dao- including the 6 senses one) and the hotel doesn't make any efforts to clean it up which is a huge shame because that would make the beach so much nicer. The sun-loungers also need replacing as many of them were broken. Overall, it was excellent for what we needed and we'd stay there again.
