Nice large French hotel”

It's nice when a hotel never appears to be crowded, even when full. This was the case with the Coral. Always loungers available around the huge attractive pool and beach area, always plenty of room at the breakfast bar. At night the garden is lit imaginatively and the circular bar and tables on the nearby grass always had space. The staff are ( like most Thai hotels) polite, charming and helpful. The rooms are clean and decorated in a colonial meets Far East style with plenty of polished hard wood. There are 2 bedroom cottages also for parents and children and deluxe cottages with 2 bedrooms and 2 front doors. Will certainly return.

Great hotel, fantastic location”

The hotel was fantastic, large swimming pool and helpful staff. We had a small dog and they were always accommodating. We had been to this hotel 1 month before. Unfortunately on both trips, the restaurant at the pool over charged us every single bill by adding at least 3-4 meals on to my bill which was for me and my 2 daughters. I complained as it was daily. I would recommend this hotel but definitely check your bill in this restaurant. The evening restaurant was lovely and there was never a problem.

A bit disappointed”

Visited hotel Coral as a stopover between HuaHin and Chumphon. The hotel was a bit of a let down, it did not help that it was raining, off-season and during COVID. The lady who greeted us at the front desk seemed clueless and not particularly friendly. While the hotel was almost empty and my wife is in a wheelchair, we were assigned one of the last rooms at the very end of the property. This means we had to walk through the whole grounds in the rain with our luggage in tow. Furthermore the lady made us pass over a bridge above the swimming pool (whereas we later found out we could simply have gone around the pool). The result could have been bad, the chair tilted backwards and my wife fell with the chair, under the bemused look of the lady. Anyway the rest of the staff was very nice, particularly at the restaurant, the room was so so with a an old TV (pre-HDMI) and smelled a lot of humidity, the public beach in front of the hotel was a bit dirty with some plastic and a used tire.

The best place to visit in Bangsaphan”

I stayed here in early September 2020 and got a warm welcome from the staffs. During the stay here , the hotel was currently renovating some parts of it. When they knew the schedule of my stay, they did their bests to keep things and places as beautiful as before. I could feel the efforts and determination of everyone in the hotel to make me have a wonderful experience of staying here. I love to stay here.

Friendly french hotel”

A beautifully kept large swimming pool worthy of a 5 star hotel in well-kept gardens and an attractive sea view bar. Great buffet breakfast. Pleasant friendly Thai staff and nice colonial style rooms with tv (1 French, 1 English Channel) and small fridge. Good wi-fi and a/c. Nothing of note to criticise and I’d be happy to return.

Paradise ”

After 6 months of traveling SE Asia this is one of our last stops before we head home. Lovely hotel, great room, nice decor, wonderful pool, right on the beach. Lovely and quiet and it does have some good choices for food with nearby restaurants!

Great family rooms”

Pros: - The Deluxe Suite that we booked was laid out perfectly for a family. - Good breakfast (though starts a little late at 8am). - Nice bar menu. - Reception and pool staff were kind. - Wonderful outdoor bath with room - warm and private. - Adult bed comfortable (kids beds very hard) Cons: - Some noise from the bar in the evening. - In theory the bar serves food throughout the day and then the restaurant opens at 7pm, so you can eat at any time. On one of the nights we stayed, the bar stopped serving food earlier. Because we were travelling with tired children we wanted to eat at about 6pm but couldn't. I don't think this usually happens but it made things tricky for us as the other local options were very limited. - The type of locks inside the rooms make it possible to lock yourself out of your own toilet. Only Reception can open your toilet for you if you accidentally lock it. The type of locks used do not seem fit for purpose. Tip - request a quiet room away from the bar.

Nice stay in quiet and relaxed resort ”

This place is nice if you want to escape the crowds and feel of a large resort. It was good value for money and the property well maintained. The hotel organized lots of excursions, which is really good. The food was very good and value for money. I live in Thailand and would probably come back if I was driving from north to south again.

unpleasent hotel to stay, just looks good from the outside”

Stayed in room #12 for 2 nights. The worst room I've ever stayed at any hotels. First time walked into the room, smells really bad and very moisty. Balcony was dirty. Furniture inside the room was old. Hard bed, tough to sleep in. Curtains all dusty. Air condition smell every time I turned it on and very dusty. Looks like they haven't clean it for years. Felt suffocated. Was so happy to leave this hotel. Highly recommand not to stay at this hotel especially this room! Breakfast was very limited and hot dogs and ham were served cold.

Faded Charm But Great Value”

The resort is getting kind of old now and picky people will be sure to find small things to complain about but the room was beautiful with a 4 poster bed, the staff were some of the friendliest in Thailand and it is so relaxing and tranquil there. I loved it and will definitely be back 😁

Amazing Beach Getaway”

With an extremely capable and attentive staff, we were blown away by the value in the location. We made use of the resorts rental equipment (jet boat, kayaks, etc.) for a great time in the ocean. The pool was way beyond average, giving our kids many hours of good fun while we sat poolside. My only two caveats would be: 1. The facility itself is somewhat aged, though it is well-kept. 2. The nude art pieces should not be displayed prominently. For a family atmosphere, any art with exposed breasts is awkward to downright offensive.

Pros: lovely property rooms facilities many special touches Cons: do not stay in rm 37. It has a view into alley and home with young children it is loud and not private.

Great Older Hotel in a Great Location”

We loved just about everything about this place, including the delicious American Breakfast! The only negative I could think of is that it needs some more TV stations as they only have 3 or 4...all in French & 1 in Thai! How about adding CNN or BBC, & some sport stations???

It’s a Great Location of this resort that is clearly a plus. Staff is well trained & service minded. If you’re looking for Peace of mind & Solitary enjoyment, this is the place to be in. Of course they can improve quality of Breakfast & Meals and one must check on the Room Location with Agoda prior to Booking confirmation if you don’t want to be saddled with the worst Room in the Resort..
