Best place stay in Lonely Beach!”
I keep coming back to Exotic Bungalows, on and off for a total stay of two months in 2014, and two months in 2015, and I can't wait to go back again! The staff are all extremely welcoming and friendly, the rooms are clean bungalow style equipt with flat screen TV's, A/C and blackout curtains. The room was cleaned spotless and new bathroom supplies and drinking water is provided everyday. The pool is very refreshing and very well maintained, I would use it everyday. The location is the best part. Close enough to the bars/parties to enjoy them in a five minute walk, but far enough away to not hear the music/noise at night when you just want to get some rest. The beach is an easy ten minute walk away. I could be called biased because I love Koh Chang and Lonely Beach so much, but I really think its Exotic Bungalows that keeps being me back. 10/10 Chris

The best place we have stayed in during our travels around south east Asia”
Exotic bungalows are without a doubt the best place we stayed in during our travels. It is not the most posh place we have been in but everything about it made our stay perfect. The place was extremely cheap for the value it offers. The rooms are large, spotless clean, bed is huge and comfortable, aircon fantastic. The bathroom is cute with a shell like basin, shower divided by a half wall unlike in most places in Asia, efficient extractions did that it dries quickly. The place is set in a jungle like surroundings providing a beautiful views. The place itself is maintained, neat and had a new pool. It is a walking distance to restaurants, beach, shops and bars. It is quite at night so you can get a good nights sleep unlike in many other places in Lonely beach. Staff were amazing and helped us with anything we ever needed. We even got talking with the owner and he gave us fantastic tips on what to do and how to make most of our time in Koh Chang. We absolutely loved Exotic bungalows and cant wait to be back :)

Quality service in luxury surroundings”
I got off the tuk tuk/taxi and walked 2 minutes up the hill and I arrived at the hotel and was greeted by the manager. He straight away asked me if I booked with Agoda. Already, they were organized, were expecting me and welcomed me to the place. I was shown to my room and was greeted by towels in the shape of two swans or possibly a heart, clean sheets and comfortable, air conditioned room. Heated water for showering was available as standard, but you won't need it! The veranda/balcony was facing a quiet pool area and the water in the pool was kept clean. Whenever I needed any information about the local area, the staff were always more than happy to help and spoke very good English too! I'm not sure about their proficiency in other languages, just in case you're reading a translated version of this review. I one day had a scooter accident and hurt my knee badly. The manager seemed to have some first aid or paramedic knowledge, as he helped me bind that. He and the owner were very welcoming and did whatever they could to make sure I had a good experience on the island. The beach is a short walk away, maybe a lazy 10 minute walk by foot (or you could hire a scooter, but proceed with caution!). The beach is further away from the central village area, the hotel itself is around a 2 minute walk away from the main stretch of bars and restaurants. Some places play loud music until the early hours, but I never had any problems with noise or trying to sleep. I tried breakfast at a few places in the area and Exotic Bungalows was certainly one of the better varieties of places to go for that. The food was good and if you get bored eating there all the time, there are plenty of other places nearby. Nice location, nice atmosphere, nice staff, got more than what I paid for as far as I'm concerned!

Near everything on Alone Beach, big room and bed and bathroom, good aircon”
The place is a little bit inside jungle, like all the places on Alone Beach, which I loved - the most atmospheric beach on Koh Chang. Exotic Bungalows is also next to ScubaDawgs and BB Divers dive shops so diving with them while staying at Exotic is super easy. The aircon was good and not noisy at all, big bed though a little bit hard, big bathroom, all worked well. I got a little bit of noise to the bars near by into my hut, but the surrounding trees blocked most of the sounds - didn't affect my sleep. Friendly and helpful personel. I will definitely stay here again next time.

Great place to stay”
Exotic bungalow is a great place to stay in Lonely Beach. It's perfectly located on the main strip for nightlife, but it's also quiet so you can get a decent nights sleep. Cliff, the manager, is great; really accommodating and friendly. The rooms are also cleaned to a very high standard each day. It's a good spot, and good value for money.

Another great stay at Exotic Bungalows! I've stayed at this hotel for extended periods on and off for the last two years. Can't wait to go back. For the cost you can't beat it! I've stayed at places in Thailand that were $75 a night that didn't even come close to Exotic. The new staff is amazing, super friendly, helpful and fun! It's a very clean, comfortable place to stay. Close enough to the party(5 min walk) but nice and quiet at night for sleeping. The beautiful beach is just a short walk away. Cheers to everyone at Exotic Bunglows, can't wait to see you next year! Pros - I stayed in a self-standing bungalow right beside the pool which I liked as I couldn’t hear anything from outside. At night you can’t hear anything from the party street, other places I stayed were quite loud. Bed was comfy and clean, pillows good too. TV has a few different languages and a few channels in English. Bathroom spacious and hot water pressure was good. Internet was fast enough for me to stream Netflix etc. Aircon worked well and pool is clean. Staff helpful and answered my questions. Cons - the fridge was leaking in my room but I think the seal is loose. Koh Chang has power outages sometimes but that can’t be helped ;) Cheers for the great stay, I’ll be back!

Very comfortable and nice staff”
I stayed in the air condition bungalow for 900 baht. I got a really nice and comfortable room with a big bed, TV, and "european standard"-bathroom. The bungalows are located in the centre of the "Lonely Beach village" with many restaurants, shops and clubs close by. Its just as far away so you will not be disturbed by the club music.

Excellent, unlimited service and no stupid rules about visitors. You can come ans go as you wish with no questions asked. Everything in the room is safe. I recommend 50 bath tip for the cleaners cause they do excellent work. FOR A GOOD RELAXED TIME COME TO EXOTIC BUNGALOWS.

I had a pleasant stay at exotic bungalows. I stayed here in late september(during low season) with my girlfriend and i got a really good impression. The staff was friendly and compentent. Our room was big,nice and clean.Good location, close to the beach and nightlife.

Amazing place with friendly staff (incl a pitbull!)”
I stayed here last year and forgot I've yet to submit a review. All I can say it's worth it with a nice room with cable TV and a decent toilet. Do book early during high seasons as they're fully booked even though high season was 6 months away The owner is very friendly and approachable, along with his pitbull that's really playful. Would definitely return to stay again if I were to head to Koh Chang once more.

Good value in center of happening on Lonely Beach”
This is a very nice resort in the center of Lonely Beach. It is a bit distant from the beach (10- mins walk), but in the direct vicinity of all the restaurants, shops and night action. But don't be alarmed, if you want to sleep, you can - we stayed for 4 nights, two nights going out and two nights staying in and we had no problems sleeping (and we had the bungalow nearest to the street). The staff is nice and helpful if you need them. The pool could be a bit cleaner but that might be impossible to achieve, since it's not really big and there is a lot of flora around it. Overall I would say 8/10, would come there again.

Party -- then Quiet”
Exotic Bungalows is on the main road, however, the rooms are set back a little bit from the main noise so you can still get a good night's sleep. Cold air con, late breakfast... what else do you really need.

Best choice for Lonely Beach”
It was really great. Russian management was very helpful and friendly. Thai staff did everything perfect. Rooms were new and clean. It was really quiet in the hotel, but 50 meters down the street - and you are in the center of Lonely beach nightlife. Pool is small, but very comfortable. I advise everybody this hotel.

The nicest place we've stayed in Koh Chang”
We booked for 3 nights and stayed for 8. We had one of the upstairs balcony rooms and although Lonely Beach has a party reputation we weren't disturbed by noise. All the staff are nice but the cleaning team are really lovely and I looked forward to a new creature created in towels everyday. We had the pool to ourselves most of the time.

Even though there are bungalows at this location, I prefer the bigger, more equipped rooms in the building behind the pool. In-room facitlities can be improved. The bungalow we stayed in for the first night had just a mobile rack with 2 hangers instead of a wardrobe! Towel rails in the bathrooms would be handy as well! It's location in the Lonely Beach area is good. Close enough to all the bars & restaurants and yet far away enough to not really be disturbed by the noise from the late bars! Lonely Beach itself is just a 5-10 minute walk away

A relaxing stay in a jungle setting.”
Overall good value for money. Small pool which was just about clean enough, but it was right outside the rooms so can't complain. There was major building work going on next door (I would guess that this will be going on until 2015 at least) which meant lots of noise early in the morning and the hotel front was an eyesore. There was no hot water and our shower/tap didn't provide much water. I would personally choose to stay in one of the many hotels/resorts just off the beach (rather than in the village as with Exotic Bungalows) if I were to stay on Koh Chang again. Lonely Beach is a great place to visit with lots of unique bars and restaurants , probably more aimed at backpacker's/younger travellers. Make sure to check out the beach itself which is incredibly beautiful and a great place for partying in the evening.
