Extremely big and spacious room. The toilet is big too. A long walk way before you see the bed with is great. It was a short one night stay for me but i will like to be back again the next time i visit shanghai. The only inconvenient part is if you order food delivery you will have to go down to level 1 to collect it yourself. The hotel does not have robots to send delivery to your room. Which means you will have to take a lift from your level to the lobby level then take another lift that goes down to level 1.

Initially, I applied for a connecting room, but when I actually went, I found out that there were separate rooms for connecting, so I had to upgrade one room to a king deluxe, which incurred an additional charge. The windows don't open, and the air conditioning is weak, making it humid. There is a smell of cigarette smoke. The view is nice. The staff is friendly. The breakfast is fine. The location is good. Aside from the smell and humidity, the hygiene is also good. I didn't use other facilities, so I'm not sure about them. Overall, it was a satisfying accommodation where I made many good memories in Shanghai~

I reserved a club king room for one night. Check-in was smooth with no language issues in English. The room was spacious enough for one person and had a view bath with a glimpse outside. The view was of a building directly in front, on the opposite side of the river. If you prioritize the view, a river view would be better. The club lounge had a nice river view. During afternoon tea, there were cookies and snacks, along with juice and coffee. During cocktail hour, beer, sparkling wine, red and white wine, and liquors were available. In addition to snacks, there was a menu of noodles prepared by the chef and dim sum, primarily featuring Western and Chinese items. Surprisingly, the variety of desserts was extensive, and the desserts were the tastiest part of this lounge. Some parts of the breakfast menu were similar, so I thought it would be nice to have a bit more variety for the cocktail hour menu alone. I found the cost performance to be relatively good since I could stay in a room with lounge access for 30,000 yen. From the subway station, you could exit from exit 8 and walk for 5-6 minutes above ground, or there was a route through the IFC mall using the underground passage, allowing you to stay mostly dry in the rain.

“Perfect Sky-High Views and Solid Comfort”
I stayed at the Grand Hyatt Shanghai from 13–16 June 2025 and was impressed by the hotel’s iconic location and panoramic views. Stayed on 75th storey of the Jin Mao Tower, the lobby is at the 54th storey. The hotel offers a unique experience—my room on the 75th floor had sweeping views of the Shanghai Tower, even on overcast days, I felt like I was in the clouds. The room was spacious. The bathroom was a highlight, with a large tub and thoughtful amenities. Staff at the ground floor concierge were excellent—efficient and welcoming. Breakfast was delicious. lots of variety, with standout juices and delicious pastries. Loved the fresh croissants. Wi-Fi worked well despite the usual Great Firewall limitations. i.e. cannot use whatsapp, facebook, instagram etc. Pro tip: when booking transport, specify Jin Mao South Gate. Took didi everywhere. We didn't use the public transport system. Walked over to Shanghai Tower and lots of variety of food there.
