The man who arranged the booking was responsive. The house could sleep 6 people. The beds were clean.
This property was SO expensive and it did not meet our expectations. We really thought that we would be staying somewhere nice for such a high price, but in hindsight, we should have stayed in a hotel or a much cheaper guesthouse. Despite being a whole house, there is almost nothing provided - there were not even cups to drink out of! No plates or cutlery. There were only two towels and 2 litres of water provided to us when we arrived (but they did provide more after we requested that this was not adequate for 5 people). There was an unfortunate smell of toilet in every room of the house that we were unable to get rid of. We were required to spend an hour of our time to register at the police station because we were foreigners before going to the property (I did know this prior to making the booking however the experience took longer than expected and was not a very welcoming experience). The property did not look like any of the photos on booking.com. From the top floor rooms you can see some mountains (no view at all from the bottom courtyard as it is surrounded by walls), but you must go outside on the balcony and turn in order to see the Great Wall.
