Hostels in Beijing

"I stayed 5 nights in the 8 beds room to go sightseeing in Beijing. I can speak Chinese a little. The hotel was very clean, looked new, and smelled good, so pretty and Chinese like. The bed was soft enough, and the common space was very comfortable, there is also cafe corner, and there is a roof deck. Bathroom is common, but there are two toilets each for girls and boys, and they are clean. Staff were very friendly and helpful. They will tell you anything about China if you ask. They also have discount tickets for Chinese opera. Usually, it's hard to eat Chinese food like Beijing duck if you are alone, but ask them, they can manage people to go eat together. The guests there were also nice, I could make some friends. The hotel was like home and family, I loved it."

"it was a enjoyable stay at ibis hotel beijing. the staffs were friendly and the location of the hotel was really strategic ( in the middle of the town). shopping complexes were nearby ( walking distance ) and so were the muslim restaurants. the best part was when we found out that the subway station was nearby....so it was very convenient to travel from town to town. only the trouble was on the last two days, the hotel had pipe system problem...we couldn't flush the toilet after using it. the rest were perfectly ok and the rate really statisfied our budget! one more thing...if only the hotel alert that there are muslims customers as well...maybe they could prepare food for the muslims."

"This hostel is a perfect choice for backpackers who want to fully enjoy their stay in Beijing. It is very conveniently located at 5 minutes walking distance from Nanluoguxiang metro station along the homonymous street which is one of the most beautiful alleys in the city and a very busy street food spot at night. The staff is kind and helpful, and speaks good English. The dorms are spacious and clean, with nice showers and toilets. Its pretty expensive compared to other hostels in China, but the atmosphere and the location are really fantastic! "

"P Loft is a standard backpacker with a lot of room options - you definitely can pay more for a single room, but the 6 bed dorm is best value for money at 60yuan a night, a basic bunk with good wifi. Location is next to Yonghegong Lama temple, many restaurants in the area and convenient to the subway and most central lines. The hostel is a renovated factory, but it is clean and warm. Staff come to remove rubbish and mop floor daily. Shared bathrooms are basic but very clean with Western & squat options. The showers are also clean. The bathrooms and showers are not gendered but very private and secure. Common room is large and warm, lots of tables and reliable wifi throughout the entire hostel as well as that room. Coffee and some cold drinks available as well as free hot and cold filtered water. There's also luggage storage if you check out but cannot leave until later etc. Staff are very friendly and helpful, and speak both English and Chinese. Only thing to be wary of is the shared dorms do not have any place to lock valuables - but the rooms lock and you can store something in your suitcase and lock that as well. "

"We reached the hotel at 3am after our mid night flight. We forgot to book the hotel for that morning and all hotel rooms were fully booked. It was summer holidays in China. The staff is so friendly & accommodative & allow us to check in early at 7am after customers have checked out. The staff's customer service is superb."
