"When I arrived at the hotel, we were greeted by the owner, and he brought us in, and offered us a drink. He gave us recommendations on places to see and eat, and gave us maps and details on how to best get there. The bedroom had 3 large windows, and stunning views. The rooftop terrace also had amazing views, and nicely appointed furniture. Bring food and drinks, as this place is special. The bedroom was very clean, and newly renovated and nicely docorated. I would stay here again if I were to go back to Lantau Island. In fact, I may go back to Lantau Island to spend more time on that rooftop. Very pleasant, and great value! "

"The staff at this hotel were very kind and friendly. The location was right on the beautiful beach. And walking distance to shops, restaurants, bars, and the ferry. It's also walking distance to the bus terminal where you can catch buses to all parts of the island like the quaint fishing village, the wonderful huge Buddha statue and other enjoyable day trips. There is also a wonderful book and music store called Vibe in the village centre. Worth checking out. The free breakfast at the hotel is also worth waking up for, In short, I'll be coming back here again and again. "

"Golden week Pros: location near big Buddha and hiking. Relatively easy to find the hostel. Clean. Common area with kitchen and cooking facilities. AC works. Close to the airport by bus 23. Strong wifi connection at the office, but weak everywhere else. Cons: the mattresses here are wrapped in plastic and super uncomfortable. they made me pay extra $30hkd because I'm not a member (ok but this should be included in agoda booking system, price with and without membership), the last bus here is at 18:00, everything around is very expensive to eat, kind of limited options. I stayed here during the October holidays because everything else was booked or too expensive, and this place was my only option close to the airport. "

"This hotel is under rated. Our large clean room had a view of the canal and promenade from our private balcony. Large towels were available on request. The swimming beach and town centre are a 10 minute walk away in different directions. The restaurant is excellent, although very Chinese. Tea and dim sum are what is for breakfast, not toast and coffee. It is a neighbourhood place, and it is a kick to see the fishermen come in for a working man's breakfast. If you want a hotel that is just like home, stay home!"
