"First thing, The location is the best thing of this hotel. Only a flat 10/12 minutes walk to the Bund and Nan Jing Street. Nearest metro Dashijie is straight 5 minutes walk from the hotel. I stayed in this hotel for 5 nights. My room was compact, comfortable, clean and well maintained. The bed was super comfy. Room was cleaned everyday. Coffee, Tea, Cookies an Mineral water were replenished daily. So were the bathroom amenities. The staffs were very friendly and professional. They can speak English. I meet a great guy, Robin from hotel Bar, had a great conversation. He helped me to plan my Shanghai trip and find one Indian restaurant nearby. Overall, the hotel has a very relaxed atmosphere in the heart of busy city. Would love to stay again while visiting Shanghai. "

"We very much enjoyed our stay at the Renaissance. If you can get a good deal online (through sites like Agoda), which include breakfast, as well as a free dinner, then it's even better. The staff were most helpful, the deluxe room was very spacious, and we loved the beds and soft pillows (very not Chinese). The breakfast was tasty, with enough variety. The location was also great. Right outside the hotel there are markets galore. It was extra special at this time of the year as all of the lanterns and decorations were up for Chinese NY. We did a lot of walking through the old alley ways. Then there's the Yu Gardens right there also. It is great having the subway right across the road also. In all, I would very much recommend this hotel - we will definitely go back."

Room mini bar drinks were included. The staff were super friendly and spoken english well. I want to make a special mention to the young friendly girl with glasses working at check in.
