Stay for 4 nights. The location is just nice. From the hotel, all tourist spots are within 15 minutes walking distance like Shanghai Old Street, Nanjing Walking Street.....Opposite the hotel is the bund. You can even get a nicer room that face the bund. All the staff are so friendly and helpful. They will greet you with the smile each time when they meet you. When ...

The Peace Hotel has been extensively renovated in beautiful art deco style which is in keeping with a historic and iconic structure. It is much improved since my last stay in 2006, and the quality of the bedroom fittings and bathrooms is first rate. The staff are well trained, helpful and polite and provide excellent service. Aside from its great location on the...

Probably one of the best hotel I stayed in Shanghai the most hip and happening among all three Hyatt in the city. Spent my new year eve count down at the Vue bar, very memorable and unforgettable experience, it offer stunning view of Shanghai both Pu dong and Pu xi view, thought the location of the hotel is at Pu xi side. I would recommend all guest to have a drink at ...

Best hotel ever in Shanghai, and they all offered me very good service, especially front desk service manager Ms. Lim, thanks to you :) and the night view of waitan in the room was fantastic but also from the roof-top, I would definitely will stay here again for my next business trip to Shanghai, the only reason I give them four star is a location.

We booked this hotel for one night quite at the last minute and were really blown away by it! The location was wonderful - just a few blocks from The Bund. It was clean and well maintained. Our room had a great view of the street and had hard wood floor, was large and just wow! Wished we could have stayed longer! Breakfast was small but basic. This has a very lovel...

At first glance, the alleyway in which this hotel is located seems a bit "off the beaten track". However, do not let that fool you - the hotel is in the heart of The Bund and next to all that you will be wanting to see. The alley leads onto one of the main streets that is close to many shops and places to eat. Rooms have everything that you need, the bed was very co...

This was my last stop in my 2 week in China. First time to Shanghai. The location was fantastic and easily reached from the Pudong Airport by subway (1hr). The bund is 15 min walk away. There is a giant mall for food and cheap clothing right by the subway station. The service was the best of 5 hotels I stayed in China. The staff were polite with excellent communication...

No complains except warm water abit slow. Definite place to stay again when visiting Shanghai. Clean rooms, linen, good lighting and all in-room amenities working well. Metro station, Shanghai old street, the Bund are all nearby. No problems for staff to call for taxi except the main street can be jam and takes about 10mins on average to arrive during peak hours. Shoul...

The Waldorf Astoria Shanghai has renewed my faith in five star properties. Countless establishments the world over claim to be five star, but very few actually deliver. The WAS is everything one would expect from a top-end property. Pros: - The rooms are absolutely fantastic. They are huge and feature a multitude of modern luxuries. For example, centralized con...

Located a stones' throw away from the Bund and old British Consulate, the Broadway Mansions proved to be a great value for money, with excellent staff and convenient facilities. Towards the east, you have the vibrant Bund dining and shopping districts, and towards the west, you get a taste of traditional Shanghai with local street food on Minghang and Changxi Roads. ...

I have stayed in numerous 5-star hotels but my stay at the Peninsula Shanghai has highlighted the difference between a standard 5-star hotel, and a flagship hotel. The grounds and common areas are beautifully and tastefully designed. There is great attention to detail, and a lot of elements which please the senses while avoiding being gaudy which happens too often in ...

the seagull on the bund, is a perfect location for a city view.walking to the bund is only 4-5-minutes away. the beautiful old buildings are a terrific contrast to the modern skyline. we had a mini mart just down the street for our convience. the food at the hotel was o.k. but we did eat in other places most of the time.it was easy to get a cab to where we wanted to go...

This is one of the nicest hotels I have ever stayed in, and for a very cheap price. I have stayed in more expensive 4 star hotels which were not as good as the Elegance Bund Hotel. The rooms are very large and spacious, the bed is very comfortable, bathroom is fantastic, and best of all, everything is extremely clean. The staff are also friendly and helpful, and the lo...

A group of us stayed in this hotel for 3 nights. The hotel room facilities are basic but sufficient for young travellers which are cost-conscious like us. Good for backpackers, young travellers who do not want extra luxurious facilities or services. The hotel front desk was efficient and approachable. The location is strategic, very near to the Shanghai Old street and...

I didn't set a high expectation when I reserved a room at the budget hotel given its low rate (I stayed in another budget hotel nearby [a different hotel chain] half a year ago with similar rate but the premise, amenity and service were below par). It was a pleasant surprise that the property was very well-maintained, the service was good, and the room was very comfort...

For it's nightly rate, this place is so well located to the Bund! I was originally á little hesitant to stay here because of some reviews, but I actually had a good experience. My room was old looking, but it was spacious, basically clean and had good air conditioning. I felt safe there just like out on the streets of Shanghai because there was CCTV everywhere. The...

River view highly recommended as this hotel has a very good view of the Bund day and night - worth the upgrade. Found the rooms nice and massive breakfast. Location was 5-7 minutes to "old side" of the Bund and 7-9 minute walk to the subway station. Many local restaurants around the corner. Reason Cleanliness/Facility rating was "good" and not "excellent was despite ...

The hotel is just across the street from the metro exit, super easy to find. The metro station is only around 20 minutes from centre of the city, and is on the same line as the nightlife area as well as one major tourist spot. Rooms are beautiful and large, nicely equipped like all Sheraton hotels. Great selection of international TV channels for nights in.

This was one of the best hotel experience I have had in Shanghai for many years. As business traveller I don't need a vibrant neighborhood for the hotel I stayed, but a nice, comfortable room and easy access to other areas of Shanghai by taxi. Hotel staff are very helpful and with good English speaking skills; both interior and exterior of the hotel is 5-star, especi...

Really I did not expect it to be a good location hotel when I booked. But I was surprised to find it was near city Centre and easily reachable to East Nanjing Road and Bund by Metro Line 10 which is just 5 min walking distance. Inspite of language problem the response from the hotel was wonderful and very friendly.

Very affordable price for so nice and clean room. The only minus side is the staff English skill was pretty poor , but I was impressed how one of the staff used her phone translator app to try to understand that I was asking for late check out. I recommend this hotel branch if you travel to China. My chinese friend was the one who suggested this for me.
