“A MUST READ!!! Please read till the end...”
We stayed here for 5days and 4nights. We arrived around 9pm in the evening on our first day. It was such a fast and smooth checkin. The room I requested was for 2 single beds and they were able to provide it. They provided us keycards which includes the password for the free wifi. The wifi signal in our room was mostly weak unfortunately... but still, it's free so there's nothing to complain about. The room itself was quite spacious for me but keep in mind the restroom is clear glass but it has 2 shower curtains inside (one for the whole restroom + another one for the shower area). Inside the room they have a mini fridge, 2 drinking glasses, hair dryer, electric kettle, tissues, 2 room slippers, 2 bath towels and 2 toothbrushes paired with cups and toothpaste. Every 4th day, based on my understanding, they would change the sheets. Everyday they go in to clean the room, take out the trash, change the towels and replace the used slippers. They don't offer bottled water but you can buy at the nearby 7-eleven at the back of the hotel or buy at one of the nearby stores alongside the MTR station. The staffs can understand english but there were a few staffs struggling to converse in english. When it comes to food, the hotel offers food service but since we are mostly outside we usually eat out on nearby restaurants. Highly recommended restaurant would be the Filipino owned restaurant named TAMBAYAN at the back of King's hotel. Loved every meal. Keep in mind that not all store/restaurant staffs within the area can speak in english and most of them were grumpy. Location is great since it's near the MTR, bus stops and restaurants. During checkout, it was also fast and smooth. They would also offer to hold your luggages for you for free but you need to claim it before 12 midnight. If your luggages ain't claimed till then, you would need to pay for an overnight fee however i don't know how much it is since I didn't asked. Another thing, If you want cheaper rides to travel around, it is better to use the MTR. Overall I highly recommend this hotel!. Would definitely stay here once again. **TRAVEL** We had a hard time looking for the hotel since google map was showing we're already there even though we're far away from the hotel. Most of the staffs from nearby stores doesn't speak english. I was just lucky as one of the stores near the pedestrian lane from the bus stop was able to point us to the right direction. There would be 2 options to get to the hotel. Please read... 1. BUS (More convenient for those who have luggages, since the bus provides a designated area to place your luggages.) > If you're riding a Bus from the HKG airport to the hotel, take the bus A21. I forgot the drop off location but it was the street right infront of the MTR (Yau Ma Tei station). Just cross the street. Once you're infront of the MTR entrance in Yau Ma Tei (literally facing infront of the entrance). Turn LEFT (you can see a fruit store as a landmark) then, go straight till you get to BANK OF CHINA. Cross the street and go to the back of BANK OF CHINA. Walk straight and you'll find the King's hotel. 2. MTR (convenient for those who only have backpacks or sling bags, since there's multiple stairs going in and out the MTR. Note that the elevators and escalators are only available inside the MTR however, there are some stations which offers escalators going out only.) > From the airport take the MTR (Airport Express Line) going to Tsing yi. Switch MTR lines (Tung Chung Line) dropping off from Tsing yi going to Lai King. Switch MTR lines again (Tsuen Wan Line) dropping off from Lai King going to Yau Ma Tei. From the MTR station facing the road, turn RIGHT. You'll see a fruit store, from there walk straight till you reach the BANK OF CHINA. Cross the street and go to the back of BANK OF CHINA. Walk straight and you'll find the King's hotel.
