Il mare ”
Very good hotel. Very nice owners. The staff have been absolutely magnificent. We’ve had a problem at the hotel. Nothing to do with the hotel. Local authorities have been working beach side and access to beach was difficult. However the owners and staff have been wonderful and sorted out a solution for us. They took us to another beach and carried chairs for us to lay on. I can’t prays them enough. Will be back next year.

Excellent value, great location”
Pros: great value; picturesque location by klong and rocks with fantastic Klong Toab beach a short walk over the bridge; good restaurant and bakery in immediate vicinity, and a long strip of bars/restaurants a ten minute stroll along the shore. Cons: although reception staff were good, three out of the four bar/restaurant staff were surly and seemed more intent on their watching their phones and chatting to eachother. At full-moon low-tide only, the rocks meant you had to walk along the beach (or across the klong) to swim.

Good but odd”
Was a nice place, location is great, room was clean and the grounds are well kept. It feels like an escape. However, the only complaint is the staff. A couple times we walked up to the bar to get a drink or bite to eat and the girls were chatting, or on their phones, ignoring us for 10 or 15 seconds before they even acknowledge you. Also noticed the same staff working from 6 am to 10 at least 2 nights in a row. Seems like they might need a break. They were nice and friendly but not the best service. Food was good, lots of options and breaky was good too. But for what you pay it could have been a little more special. Tang for orange juice and one tomato slice on the side. Everything just seems a little ...meh. Nice place though, beach is beautiful, pool was excellent and not too far from nice walking streets.

Lovely place!”
We found Il Mare last minute and loved it! We were traveling as a couple and looking for a quiet relaxing place. Il Mare was perfect for that. The beach there is awesome -we loved the beach front lounge chairs. The beach right in front of the resort is a bit rocky, but just walk 2 minutes down the beach and its great swimming! We spent all day everyday in the ocean. The staff is very nice and the rooms were clean, big, and comfortable. We stayed 3 nights, went to another resort and ended up leaving the second resort to return to Il Mare! It is in a great location -walking distance to some of the best restaurants on Koh Lanta. Good breakfast as well. Would definitely return to Il Mare, it was our favorite stay on Koh Lanta. I would definitely recommend Il Mare!!! Great value for the money!

Quiet, relaxing and peaceful”
The boyfriend and I moved down here from Long Beach to check out Klong Nin beach. We didn't have much choice with booking a place due to peak season and last minute booking. But it was a good experience here! The staff were friendly enough and the breakfast was standard. We got the Deluxe Beach Front which was lovely! The rooms were clean, spacious and the view was GREAT! The sunsets were amazing! To get to the beach you have to cross a fun wooden roped bridge over a little stream. The Resort is at the top of Klong Nin so it was quiet and a little secluded. Which was nice. But the resort beach itself wasn't "great" as it was a little rocky and the attack of the seaweed would sometimes appear, though the other resort guests didn't seem to mind. I guess it was just in patches (the rocks and seaweed). But just 2 or 3 minutes down the beach where everything else was was spotless and fabulous. I had no quarrel walking down a little to dip myself into the water so we both had a good time. If you are looking for a little resort to stay away from it all, I'd say this place is good for you. But get the Beach Front as the others seemed a little less wonderful (location wise on the resort). Overall it was a good experience but maybe next time we'll book somewhere in the center of Klong Nin.

Perfect and quiet beach front walking distance to the hustle and bustle”
Loved our 5 night stay! The room (beach front villa) was simple and perfect. Cleaned everyday by lovely friendly staff. Beautiful view and a very short walk to beach and pool. Il Mare is at the end of Klong Nin beach, perfect quiet spot to lie on the resorts beach lounges or a 5 minute walk along the beach to Klong Nin restaurants, massage, etc. (Its a great swimming beach, some rocks at low tide but easy to avoid.) Just as easy to leave the resort and walk to many resturants and shops along the main road. We rented a scooter from the resort and explored the island from there. Only cons are breakfast is very basic, but that's fine considering there are so many options around and the sand had been eroded on this end of the beach exposing some concrete structures, but that was being covered up by the end of our stay so I'd say it was only temporary. Would stay again and recommend to anyone visiting Koh Lanta!

Perfect hotel for us!!”
We had such an amazing time in Ko Lanta! We first stayed at a beach hotel and because it was everything we wanted we wanted to extend but they were fully booked. Luckly we found a deluxe with garden view at Il mare. It is on the beach(after you cross a small bridge over a river), the rooms were big, clean and quite new. Breakfast was ok, not many choices but delicious.staff was amazing and really care for your comfort! But the best thing is the beach, long, wide , soft sand and he waves keep you entertained . The hotel has a volley net and ball if you like playing. In the evening the atmoshere was romantic, with all the bars having chairs on the beach, candles and the sound of the waves.. No noisy boats, no vendors just perfect beach holiday. Ps take a look at the night life activity on the sand when you come back from dinner, you will find many types of crab and snails. Perfect!

Amazing little hotel”
Drove around the island looking for a suitable place to stay. Called in to look at il mare and for us it ticked all of the boxes. Lovely clean large rooms on the beachfront. Stunning sunsets, excellent WiFi, nice clean swimming pool for a dip. Tv, tea and coffee facilities, excellent breakfast, loungers with cusions and towels provided. Nice snorkelling on rocks at side of beach. The beach is so quiet, I was alone many times on it which is just what I wanted. This is not a big chain hotel, and that’s what made it so relaxing and enjoyable for our stay. Everything was nice and easy and very relaxing. Staff are friendly and happy. Nothing was too much trouble. Amazing place to do yoga on the beach or early morning exercise. Out of the hussle and hussle of the North if the island. I travel alone with my daughter and felt safe here. Photos don’t do it justice! It’s much better! Visited many hotels that photos looked ok but the hotel was bad not like the photos! You will not be disappointed

First class chefs, great pool and lovely staff ”
We stayed at Lanta ll Mare over January and had a very relaxing time. The rooms are clean though the gardens at first appearance could be maintained a little better. The swimming pool is fantastic with a big tall palm tree offering some shade at one end of the pool in the middle of the day which is a blessing if you are sunburnt but still wish to swim. It has a restaurant deck looking out over the beach to the Andaman Sea and is perfect to see the sun setting, which is very romantic. Being located in the middle of the stretch of beaches means it's a short ride to anywhere else on the island. And it's quiet so you can really unwind and relax, fantastic fresh fruit cocktails by the pool was my favourite regards Ben

Peaceful ”
If you want a quiet part of the beach this is a great property. It’s in a lovely location with its own private beach (accessed by foot bridge). It’s in easy walking distance to the beach restaurants & bars. And has all facilities on the door step (7/11, ATM, restaurants, bike hire, massage etc) Breakfast is adequate, but nothing more. Rooms simple but clean. We were glad to have a beach front room to watch the sun set each evening. Enough sun loungers & parasols. Be sure to explore the island, it is beautiful & easy. Klong Nin is an excellent choice. Beautiful beach, lovely vibe (less trashy than further south)

lovely hotel. Nothing flash but a comfortable stay. staff were friendly and food, including breakfast was good if not too exciting. hotel is well located - klong nin beach was a good base to travel from. we hired a motorbike and enjoyed exploring the island over 3 days.

Stau was great - located on one of the best beaches on the island (Klong Nin). Room was clean, right on the bech, ac worked very well and breakfast was included. Only complaint is when the toilet is flushed it smelled.

Very pleasant stay exceeded our expectations.”
Friendly greeting and given juice. Upgraded to a garden view, but I think any of the rooms would have been nice. The ocean views looked especially lovely with a constant shore breeze. Service was efficient and friendly. Breakfasts were standard "american" and edible. Daily room service without asking. Rooms very large and clean. Pool with waterfall and decks great. Lots of lounge chairs, padding and umbrellas available, even on the beach. Beach lovely but we found little snorkelling. Walked the beach at night for supper outings. Many restaurants available. Shopping within walking distance and scootered easily around the island. Lovely place to lay your head.

Better options on Klong Nin Beach”
this is not a welcoming resort at all and i would have much difficulty recommending it due to the attitude of the staff. the owner or manager of this resort needs to consider doing some work with their staffs attitude and work ethic. on our arrival, this was little friendliness or a welcoming smile, rather an insinuation of the fact that we had way too much luggage for 2 people. throughout the week i noticed that most of the time the staff sit around talking to each other and if guests ask something of them, it seems that this is an imposition. the accommodation itself is fine, large room, plenty of storage space, balcony etc; the staff are a very different factor. the beach is located across one of two footbridges and is okay for swimming and if your up to it snorkelling around the rocks. another disappointing aspect is the amount of rubbish strewn along the beach outside the resort. i noted that other resorts pick up the beach litter but this was not the case at il mare. klong nin beach has many restaurants along the beach front and my suggestions would be nicks garden for pizza (they are huge), white rock tavern for mexican fare and english grub, and cook kia for thai food. overall klong nin is a nice place to stay with many resorts to choose from through agoda and i believe you can do better than il mare.

Excellent”
We were picked up at the Saladan Pier and taken to the resort. We were greeted and welcomed to the resort, the bungalow was spacious, bright and very clean. The linen could be upgraded but ok. The food was very good they serve at the restaurant. The location is 20 Minutes drive from the pier. It's a quiet beach but that's ok cause that's what we were looking for. We only spent two nights and wish we could've stayed longer. I have nothing bad to say about this place.

Spent several days here. In two different rooms. Rooms were very clean, if somewhat in need of minor repairs and updating. Decent sized, cabana styled , built in a lovely garden setting, just steps form the Andaman Sea. amazing beach with fine sand. Nice pool as well Staff were very polite and helpful We originally booked two nights in a ocean view , decided to stay longer, but had to settle for a regular room . They were pretty much exactly the same room except for the view. Would definitely recommend this property. Priced quite well .

Perfect chillout location ”
We loved the location on the quiet beautiful beach.Great for swimming ,except at low tide, but not a problem as just 100 metres up the beach perfect. Set in beautiful gardens, full of lovely shrubs and trees. Only minutes walk from a good choice of nice restaurants. Bring a small torch to walk at night. Very safe feel to resort. Only small negatives. Umbrellas at sunbeds need to be upgraded/replaced and better shampoo/soap could be provided at little cost. Overall, we would definitely go back.
