Located near Interlaken West station and conveniently accessible, with a bus stop right in front of the apartment. Restaurants and a supermarket are within walking distance, and the location is close to the base of several winter activities such as paragliding and skiing. The building has lift access, which made it easy for travelers with large luggage. The apartment was decently furnished, clean, and offered a lovely view of the Jungfrau mountain. There are four bedrooms that can comfortably accommodate eight guests, though some coordination is needed for the two shared bathrooms. One point to note is that the bathroom doors are frosted glass, and silhouettes are visible when in use. This may be uncomfortable for groups of friends or guests who value full privacy, though it may be less of an issue for families. The host made the effort to welcome us personally and conducted a brief site inspection upon arrival. Overall, the property is more suitable for families or quiet groups who turn in early, as sound can travel at night. During our stay, we became a little too excited while playing board games and were unintentionally louder than intended. We were checking our WhatsApp chat with the host to ensure there were no complaints, but the noise concern was only raised the following day when we contacted the host regarding another matter. We apologized immediately, and the response via WhatsApp was friendly and reassuring. Later, we noticed a separate message sent through Agoda (notifications were not enabled on our side), which had a much sterner tone: “Hello, you are very noisy and it is late. Can you be quieter please?” The contrast in tone between the two platforms was confusing, and it was unclear whether different people were managing the communications. A call, WhatsApp message, or a knock on the door might have helped resolve the issue more comfortably in real time. The 10:00 am check-out time is earlier than most places we have stayed. We also contacted the host to request additional paper towels and were informed they were offsite then, but there was no follow-up subsequently. Additionally, the kettle was extremely loud and very slow to boil, and could benefit from being replaced. Overall, the apartment itself is pleasant and well-located, but clearer and more consistent communication, along with a few practical improvements, would have improved the experience.
