Good rooms but a bit far out of Beijing”
We stayed at the Mercure Wanshang and booked our tours after booking the hotel. We were not aware that the tour company we booked did not pick up from this hotel at the time of booking, so we had to catch taxis to the pick up point and back each day, a bit of a pain. We did not realise that the Mercure Wanshang was outside the pick up range for a lot of the tour companies. The rooms were good, nice and clean with a great shower. The beds are typically China hard, my wife like the bed. The breakfast buffet was very affordable (RMB58.00 per person) with a great selection. The first morning we were told that they open a 6.30am but it was closer to 7.00am that everything was put out and available.

Good Hotel and Value for MOney”
Mercure Wanshang is a nice hotel and value for money. It is suitable for family, couples and also backpackers. The hotel is consider far from the city area i.e. Tian an men, ard 20 mins walk to the nearest subway station. The hotel is clean, modern and the room is very convenience and big. There are some food stall and restaurant outside the hotel area. The staff is nice but only reception staff are able to speak english.

Hotel with a human touch”
My child fell ill during his school trip and i flew over to Beijing and stayed at Mercure with him. During my stay there, the hotel's General Manager made sure he was comfortable by providing a roll-in heater and gave us extra bottles of mineral water to boil as boiling tap water was not adviceable for upset stomachs. The staff were also friendly and helpful when it came to enquiries pertaining to day tours and were knowledgeable. My room on the 6th floor was clean, pleasant and large. My only bugbear was the faulty shower head and egronomic design of the tap at the wash basin - very difficult to turn on the tap with soapy hands! They could also have provided a small knife and spoons - a small problem though, as the items were promptly delivered to my room upon request. Overall, it was a very good hotel for its price range. Comfortable, affordable and pleasant.

mercure hotel was a nice. they had helpful staff to answer any question for you when asked upon. great place to stay with the mall near by endless restraunts around and movie theather. it was nice they had wi fi as i didnt bring my lab top and i was able to access the net on my phone from there beautiful lobby.

clean hotel with big room ”
this was the first of two visit i stayed at this hotel i was meeting up with a friend enroute to hainan. i choose the same hotel on my way back to from hainan cause my first visit was enjoyable. staff were friendly and helpful when asked upon them. great restraunts with good food in the hotel to choose from. nice to have free wi fi for people who are not bringing their lab tops

i am very pleased with my room. it is big and well designed. the bathroom is also big and the shaowring facilities are excellent. although, the hotel provide wifi in the room. the broadband is also somehwat unstable.

Nice huge rooms”
The rooms are spacious and comfortable thus commendable but unfortunately booking was without breakfasts. The breakfast rates could have been lowered for guests. The location of the hotel isn't that conducive as is behind some tall buildings which took us some time to locate. It is about 10 mins walking from the nearest subway. Rooms were without wifi - only at the lobby area which is a minus point for a 4-star hotel.

The room was very comfortable and clean. It is up to standard. The only negative point is location. With the subway closing at 10-ish, you have to leave some time for travelling back to hotel.

good hotel to stay. the location is great very near the subway station. there is also a nearby mall where you can shop at the grocery store and meals. the staff are all courteous and i highly recommend this hotel.

This is a very good hotel. It has great gym and pool facilities. The portal to the Red line of the RTD is not very far from the hotel. Very easy to get to. The Major sites are on the Red line.

Spacious room and Convenience transport”
About 10 minutes walk to the Babaoshan Park metro station(route no.1). There are Wanda Plaza nearby, lots of restaurants you can choose. Quite pity that we don't have the time to try the swimming pool and fitness centre there. We just find that it's a very big indoor swimming pool. The garden outside is also quite big but it's too cold in the early March. Spacious toilet and big room that we think most of the customers like it.
