Room 113 lowest price double bed / superior / natural view Pros - Quite worth the price paid in terms of location and basic amenities (we stayed in the cheapest room which stated it had a garden view, but it was actually a wall view 🤭) - Basic amenities are fairly decent, such as having a hairdryer (if a room doesn't have one, staff can be notified), soap, shampoo, towels, but personal items like toothbrushes and toothpaste need to be brought by guests (though they are available for purchase or can be ordered through Grab Mart since the accommodation is near Lotus Go and Big C Mini). - The accommodation is by the river, but being in an urban area may not provide a very tranquil atmosphere to immerse oneself in nature, but it does have a usable view. - Cleanliness has its pros and cons. Overall, the room condition is acceptable as it is an older establishment; linens, pillows, blankets, and general cleaning are satisfactory for this hotel level. If expecting higher cleanliness, one may need to choose a 4-5 star hotel. However... the bidet has some unsettling dark stains. - Breakfast has a variety of options like porridge, fried rice, stir-fried noodles, fried eggs, orange juice, and coffee. I won’t comment on the taste as I didn’t eat it, but we believe it’s a service focused on value. - Reception staff, bar staff, breakfast staff, and cleaning staff are friendly and greet guests well. Cons - We happened to stay during a government agency's party group, where the function room has windows that are not soundproof, and the music from the party was extremely loud, disturbing our rest, as they turned it up fully. Upon check-in, the staff mentioned that the noise would be until midnight, but I feel they should lower the volume a bit after around 10 PM. Some guests were inconsiderate, talking loudly when returning to their rooms. - There were mosquitoes in the room due to the gap at the bottom of the door not having a bug guard. - The walls are thin, allowing clear sounds of conversations, TV, or music from the adjacent room, often not needing to strain to listen, and in the mornings, it felt like the cleaning staff played loud music, which disturbed our rest. - The water faucet is very difficult to turn on when hands are soapy during a shower or washing face; I had to run to get tissue to help turn it on, and then it sprays water all over the dry area. Other notes There were some points I had seen in reviews that initially made me hesitant to stay here, but having actually stayed, I didn’t experience those issues such as: 1. Access: I found it okay using Google Maps; it wasn’t difficult to enter, but when ordering via Grab, the rider mentioned they couldn’t find it because the app’s map is not updated. There should be clearer signs or warning signs at the U-turn point. 2. Pump noise: I didn't hear it; it was normal. 3. Pillow smell: I didn’t sense any smell, but those who are sensitive may notice it. 4. Cleanliness: I believe it's at an acceptable level (except for the bidet). It’s not bad enough to be unbearable; the bathroom has some dark stains on the tiles. If expecting more cleanliness, one should choose a 4-star hotel or higher. 5. Quietness: Excluding the encounter with the tour group, I think the overall quietness is acceptable, but it isn't extremely quiet since outside noise enters the room easily. 6. Water: I didn’t find any murky water; the flow was normal, but the water heater seems to be out of order.
