Where to stay in Monti
Monti hotels & accommodations

We recently stayed for four nights at the Rome Life Hotel. The hotel is very well situated (about 15 minutes walk from locations such as the Colosseum and Trevi Fountain) in the Monti neighbourhood. Our room was very modern, clean and spacious and the hotel provided a complimentary mini-bar (non-alcoholic) on our first night which was very welcome. The breakfast buffet...

My husband and I stayed 8 nights at the Rome Times Hotel. I searched endlessly online to find a hotel in our budget that was a short walk from many iconic Rome locations and museums, and had a breakfast option. The modern look and feel was also important to me. I was pleasantly surprised to find our room had a king bed and rain shower in the bathroom. I've stayed i...

Lovely stylish hotel that is spotlessly clean with excellent bathroom and bedroom with extremely comfortable bed . little road noise but not too bad and nice extra of roof terrace .Great for exploring the Monti area .Would stay there again on a return trip

This is a well located hotel in Monti so it was an easy walk from Termini (the main bus/train/metro hub) or a quick walk to Cavour on the Metro. The reception staff, especially Alex, are very helpful and friendly. The a/c was amazing when were were there during a very hot week in August. Lots of closet space for clothes. Rooms are comfortable and very clean. Our f...

This hotel is located conveniently in Via Cavour, right around the Metro station, and in the lovely Monti neighbourhood. Close enough to Termini to walk, but far enough not to be a train station hotel. Staff were kind and more than accommodating - rooms are fully modern and comfortable. Would absolutely recommend without reservation.

I really can't say enough good things about this residence The room itself is just as spacious, clean, and bright as depicted in the official pictures. There are large windows that brighten up the entire room. When you first enter the room, you are provided with a book of restaurant recommendations, day-tours, and an assortment of other helpful tips. In addition, the ...

We had a good experience at Monti palace. The hotel was clean and in a good area with some great restaurants nearby. I will say this seems more like a 3-3.5/5 star hotel rather than 4. Staff were friendly but weren’t extremely over the top accommodating. Also oddly, we did not have a comforter on the bed until our last night. This was partially fault of our own because...

Just returned from our 4 night stay. It was one of the best places i have ever stayed at. Location is amazing, walking distance to all that Rome has to offer. Free parking which helped us as we had a car. Great breakfast with plenty of fresh and yummy options. The room was so big and specious, set out in traditional Italian style and super clean. But the best thing abo...

All in all we liked the Hotel and the facilities, but the breakfast wasn't even adequate for a Hotel with four stars!!! The variety of the food was very limited and it was based on sweet food, like croissants etc. If the hotel places people from all over the world, the breakfast has to fit an international level. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day.

I stayed at this hotel for two nights in October and it was a lovely experience. The location of the hotel is very good as it is in the Monti area, which is very pretty and only a 10 minute walk away from Rome's Termini station. The hotel doesn't have a very obvious facade and I walked passed it without realising it was a hotel, and once you're there you have to ring t...

Hotel Rafaello was a fantastic stay! The room was quite large and well-appointed. The hotel is a very short walk from the Termini train station, but is firmly situated in the super cute neighborhood of Monti which is less crowded and busy than the surrounding parts of Termini train station. The breakfast was delicious and had a wide variety of options. The hotel staff ...

the hotel is in good location, just 5-10 min walk from train station. i suggest repubblica station, it's closer than roma termini. the hotel is surrounded with restaurants, shops, pharmacy. it's very convenient. the room is new, renovated and clean..however, my room has no wifi access. i guess because of my room is in the corner and can't connect to wifi signal so we h...

I booked this hotel based on price, location & reviews & was not disappointed. We were lucky to get a huge room with a small balcony. I'm not sure if all the rooms are as good as ours but I had booked 6 months in advance so maybe this is why we were lucky. Location great, 10-15 from termini, minute or so from metro station, short walk to the colesseum. A small square ...

I stayed at Hotel Viminale for a total of 3 nights in a single room. Having booked only hours before I was due to check in (and paying only $59 AUD for such a central hotel which also included breakfast) I did not have high expectations for the room. The room was perfect! Very simple but I had everything I needed. My room was on the top floor with a beautiful view of ...

Lovely apartment with lots of space, 2 big bedrooms with ensuite and large open plan area. Very clean (and I'm very fussy!). Good kitchen facilities and large dining table. Great service from Mia organising our stay, responding to email promptly and sorting taxi transfers. Highly recommend for family stay in Rome, much better option and similar price to the cramped hot...

Close enough that our 4 year old walked with us to Trevi Fountain, the Spanish Steps, Roma Termini (the main transportation hub) and the Cavour metro stop all from Mrs. Julie's. The staff were like phantoms. We never saw them but always came back to a cozy cleaned, well-stocked room and they were quick to respond via WhatsApp. The breakfast that is included is a choice...

Wonderful place to stay! Very well situated in a nice neighbourhood. 15 minutes from termini trainstation, 10 minutes from Colosseum and 10-15 minutes from Spanish steps, Pantheon, Trevi fountain. Many cosy restaurants in Monti, just a few minutes walk. Very friendly, helpful staff.

Best location. Short walk to the metro. Short walk to major sites. The pizza place across the street is open 24 hours and food is really good. La licata is great for breakfast . Fatomorgana for the gelato. Quick and cheap pasta at Maccheroni Express and pasta chef

Very comfortable, with a spacious room and en-suite. Breakfast on the balcony each day was lovely and the staff were incredibly friendly and always helpful. We were given some recommendations of local places to eat which were some of the best meals we had in Italy!! It’s an easy walk from the main train station with metro stations nearby (although these were our of ord...

The 2 minus points are 1. tiny elevator with limited capacity (3 persons) and very slow 2. lobby is on 3rd floor, if you have room assigned on 1st floor then either wait for slow elevator or run the 2-floor stairs to deposit / retrieve key every time you leave hotel. (if I am the owner then I would move lobby to 1st floor ASAP, more logic) In general, if you do...

Hotel is located in a quiet lane off the main street. Short walking distance to major historical sites including Santa Maria Maggiore and the Monti District. Our room had a view of the Santa Prassede church gardens which was very pleasant. The size of the room and bed where comfortable. All staff were pleasant and very accommodating. The only thing that was a challe...

We lived this Hotel Duca d' Alba. Friendly staff. I was able to check in a bit early which has not happened with many other hotels whilst traveling this summer. They had a little construction going on and I talked to them about the noise and never heard it again. While this hotel is not a 'luxury hotel' and the rooms are quite small. I found it quiet, cozy, good vibes,...

We were traveling with kids and had reserved a quad room. Our room was on the top floor and spacious. Perfect with kids. Location is great right out the gates of the Metro station at Cavour. Great neighborhood of Monti that is quite lively with some awesome restaurants and quick eateries around. 10-15 min easy walk to Coliseum and to the Roman forum. Staff was quite he...

We were originally due to stay in a hotel twice the price but I decided to save some money and I am so glad I did. It’s central location- close to termini station (so can use Terravision bus - 5 to 10 mins). Good location for all the main sites. Its not actually 5 viminale square or piazza (it’s on Viminale road - about 100 meters away). Anyway basically it’s an ...

Fantastic triple room- had extra space so our 2yr old daughter had her own ‘room’. Amazing little extras such as biscuits, espresso machine, marmalade etc. Host also left us croissants for our breakfast on our last day. Loved the style of the apartment- unusual/classic furniture. Excellent location for Termini and Colosseum. Also excellent for getting to Vatican as can...

I rate Hotel Dorica as a must stay hotel. It's close to Termini station, 15 mins walk to Trevi fountain, fabulous restaurants just down the street and shopping, shopping shopping. Hotel is family owned and ran, all great, friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast was included and to die for, they make the best cappuccino in Rome! We centred ourselves from the hotel and wal...

Room was small, as in, could not walk around bed with luggage in room (think New York hotel room size). Great place for people who like free stuff. Lots of selection at breakfast but not a huge buffet. Very cool coffee machine that makes every kind of thing. Decent bathroom. Location: We stayed here with 3 people in June. The location was great since the hotel was located in a center point where it was walking distance to everything in every direction. Cheap places to stay in Monti

Friendly staff suggesting routes to travel around. Decent room and nice breakfast. The location is convenient but a bit hard to recognise the door (it is located in second or first floor). Surprisingly it's a room with fridge , heater and air con! Defo worth it

The room was ok standard, the sheets had som stains and there was a shirt left on the desk from the guest before us. The first night we had noisy neighbours in the room next to us and we could hear every Word they said, the walls are very thin. Apart from this we enjoyed our stay. The hotel is close to Colosseum and walking distance to many other must-see places. Ther...

We reached the check in location at around 9pm, there was a notice to let us call a No. to get further info about check in as B&B seems located in different location. However, the No. was unable to get through even after several tried. We called Agoda for help. After around 30mins, a guy appeared and lead us to the B&B location. He is not the owner, but owner is his...

A charming hotel with only 37 rooms. All rooms are a bit different. We booked 2 rooms one was big - one a bit smaller - but both were good. Nice bathrooms, TV/WiFi and reasonable aircon. The breakfast when served on the rooftop terrace proved to be the best of all the hotels we stayed in. The reception staff were extremely helpfull and professional. The locatio...

The host, Dorina, was one of the loveliest lady ever. Even though she can't really speak English, she tried her best to communicate with us, charade style & using Google Translate! She was extremely accommodating to our request of checking out early and leaving our luggage, free of charge! The rooms were huge and very clean! Location relatively central, about 15-20 ...

We spent four nights in Hotel St. Moritz. Everything went really well. Room was nice, wlan was working, breakfast was ok. Location is pretty perfect since short distance to walk, many bus lines leaves just outside the hotel and metro station is near. Only minus I would give to soundproofing of hotel. But old building and crowded road just below...

I cannot praise Casa in Monti Guest House high enough for the price we paid. Nothing was too much trouble and communication before we arrived was good. We asked if it was possible to get a cup of tea outside ‘breakfast hours’ – within half an hour there was a kettle, cups, t-bags, biscuits etc in our room. We asked if we could have extra pillows – within 15 minutes we...

The Hotel Borromeo was a wonderful experience even for a short night sleep. The location is perfect specially because is just 100 meters form the metro "B" that takes you to the Termini Railroad station where you can change trains and go anywhere in Rome or even take other trains to visit other cities in Italy. Next to the hotel is a tipical italian restaurant, and wa...

Only took cash and could not show up to collect. We left the money on the kitchen table and the key on the kitchen table as instructed then the day after leaving they said we were short €100. If you stay at this apartment take a picture of the money that you leave because they will try to pull the scam on other people I imagine
