We stay here more and more”

In the beginning we used to stay at the Northgate because it was located close to my friend's cousin's house. But now we find ourselves staying at the Northgate more and more. We use it as our first hotel to acclimate to Thailand and now as our transit hotel from city to city. It's close to Don Mueang and Suvarnabhumi, its clean, nice pool, excellent breakfast and located near a shopping mall. Location isn't the greatest if your more inot night life. Staff are helpful and friendly. The only thing you need to do is ask for more WIFI passwords. Its one password per device so if you come with a family you better ask for more. Other than that we love the Northgate.

Near Major Ratchayothin - Avenue Ratchayothin. Easy to travel to Chatuchak Market, Central Ladprao, JJ Mall and Union Mall. The hotel has a decent breakfast. Not big, but kind of decent. The restaurant is beautiful. The designs are modern throughout the hotel. The bed is very comfy and will provide you a good sleep. The staffs should be a bit more polite & friendly.

when i saw the hotel with its simple and classy interior i feel so happy and at home. the comfort of the bed with 4 soft pillows will rest you to comfort like what i had a great sleep. and then i discover walking in a few minutes there are some great restaurants nearby.my room overlooks the golf driving range and it feels so relaxing to view the greens.Northgate is a very nice boutique hotel and i will recommend it to my filipino friends when they come to bangkok. I had a great time an goodrest at Northgate.

We stayed in the Northgate studio appartments for a total of 10 days during the past five weeks, using them as our Bangkok base when travelling around SE Asia. Special kudos to the front desk, who invariably was both helpful and accommodating in every way. The studios are spacious and the ones we stayed in all had nice bathrooms and good aircon. While internet download speed was good, uploads to Google Drive was excruciatingly slow, forcing us switch to DTAC mobile data plans to backup our travel pictures. Like many other hotels Northgate utilize an annoying captive portal that force you to login now and then using user/password-slips that only work on a single device at a time, so make sure to tell the front desk how many devices you need access from. We didn't try the gym or other facilities, and didn't care much for the restaurant next to the lobby (overpriced), but made good use of the water boiler and microwave oven. The only real downside worth mentioning is that smoking is allowed, making some of the rooms really smelly. On the opposite side of the (ratchadapisek) road there's a small day market and an ok selection of thai restaurants/bars. Mayor Cineplex is a 10-15 minute walk away, Central Plaza Ladprao about 30-40. While the front desk was happy to call us a taxi, traffic on the hotel side of the road is heavily congested at the moment due to major road works, so depending on where and when you're going, you'll shave 10-45 minutes off your travel time by crossing the walking bridge and flagging down a taxi by yourself.

Best bet for this area of BKK”

I live up North but had to come to BKK to meet a friend coming from the South to Mo Chit Bus Station. So, we had to find accommodation in this strange area (for me) of the city. Only two choices - this one or the much higher priced Centara Grand. I was pleasantly surprised by the Northgate. Ample parking, clean (if a bit dated) rooms, and nice staff willing to go the extra mile. Food from 2-4-8 was wonderful in-room service and moderately priced. In fact, we only ate outside the hotel once during our two-night stay the food was so good! Kudos to the chef. If I were ever in need of a place to stay in this zone of BKK, I would not hesitate to stay here again.

Good location. Small rooms. ”

Loved the location as well as the service from northgate. Design of the hotel is also modern and nicely done. Overall a clean and new hotel. However, compared to other service apartments, this one does not have full kitchen facilities and the size of the room can be considered small compared to other service apartments. But the location of the hotel made up for it all. Good for short trips.

Comfortable rooms, good service”

I have stayed here several times now, I like the location, close to Major/The Avenue Ratchayothin and Vibhavdi Rd. Free carparking. The staff are very friendly and helpful they arranged to repair my jeans at a very reasonable price, and printed out some documents for me too. The rooms are very clean and modern. The wifi internet is free, but is slow in the evening.

Nice hotel. But no breakfast included for kid! ”

We stayed 2 nights at Northgate at the end of our holiday. It is closeby the national airport and also near 2 family theme parks with attractions. The room is nice. Bed is big. Personal friendly. This was our most expensive hotel during our holiday, however the only one we had to pay extra for our child's breakfast! So the second morning instead of the 3 of us, only my husband and child had breakfast and I bought bread at the grocery store opposite of the hotel.

Quiet area to relax in Bangkok”

I had a very pleasent stay at the Northgate Hotel Ratchayothin, this was a business trip therefore it was good that this hotel is situated in one of the quieter areas of Bangkok, also good to have a balcony with the room, decent sized rooms and nice staff.

Always a comfortable stay”

Have stayed at Northgate Ratchayothin several times now. The location is convenient for me (north of BKK), staff are friendly and helpful, and the beds/rooms are comfortable. Breakfast is 220b/person and worth it. There's a swimming pool and small workout area on the top floor.

very nice hotel, worth going back to any time”

my group and i had a difficult time looking for the hotel; our taxi driver (we took a cab from the airport) didn't know where it was. coming from a long trip (we came from israel), the search for the hotel was soooooo tiring...good thing northgate serviced apartment is a nice place to stay in...that was some consolation.

The hotel is a walking distance from Major Ratchayothin. Very convenient to walk to and from for dinner, snacks, shopping, and movies. It has good size rooms and very comfortable bed. The hotel interior is well insulated which keep things pretty quiet at night.

Look For Shell Gas Stations”

If you use Google Maps either by car or taxi, when you see the Shell Gas Station you have arrived. Shell and Northgate are like this --> |x||y|. :) I was given a quiet room far from the elevator as requested bed was super comfortable. Don't get the breakfast. Not worth the extra charge. Not so delicious.

Modern and spacious rooms”

i booked here because the location was convenient, close to major & the avenue ratchayothin, and easy access to vibhavdi rd. if you are sightseeing or new to bangkok, then you might want to stay in a more central/touristy area though. rooms are modern, spacious, have english tv, dvd player. there is a rooftop tennis court, and a very basic fitness centre. bed was very comfortable, however there was some traffic noise in my room, but it didn't stop me sleeping well. breakfast was okay. they do good discounts for weekly/monthly stays. staff english could do with improvement.

A good choice in north Bangkok”

We spent one night at Northgate and found it to be a good choice. Our room was clean and quiet, we got a good night's sleep. The front desk staff speak English reasonably well and were helpful to us. WiFi worked well in our room. Bathroom was modern, clean and had a good shower. The bed was comfortable - not too hard, unlike those in most Thai hotels I've visited. The breakfast was not great, offered enough variety that I was able to find a few things I liked, but my wife was unhappy with the quality of the breakfast fruits and left after trying a few bites.

Excellent”

Booked the Northgate for an overnight stay on arrival in Thailand, but unfortunately due to a long flight delay, I arrived with only sufficient time to have a shower, change and have breakfast. In that short time I was impressed with the helpfulness of the staff and regretted that I had missed a good overnight stay.

Good hotel”

This is the second time i stayed here because it's a lovely hotel and it's location to chatuchak market. It is a bit far from the main tourist spot's but thanks to cheap taxi's and transport links at chatuchak market (skytrain and underground) it is sometimes worth staying a bit further out in a nice hotel for a good price than a poor hotel in the city center.

It was my second time at Northgate and it was awesome as expected. Good clean spacious rooms, friendly staff, and an extremely wide variety of dishes in breakfast....you will love your stay here and i am sure you will come back again

Good location for Ratchayothin Area”

The location is very convenient for Ratchayothin area and walking distance to Major Ratchayothin Shopping Mall. However, the traffic was very awful in this area, so we're end up spent most our time walking to the shopping mall. The room was clean but need some maintenance work and update TV as can't get a good signal. The housekeeping was good and helpful. Will go back to stay again if I have some business to do in the area but not recommended for anyone who want to sightseeing around Bangkok. Get something near BTS is better options as Bangkok traffic is awful 😐

Gateway to the North of Bangkok”

Rooms are spacious and well appointed, they include a balcony, free wifi Internet access, car parking, and access to a roof top pool. It's 5 minutes walk to Major Ratchayothin which is quite handy.
