I booked this stunning place, and while it truly was beautiful, there were a few deal breakers for us. PROS: - Nestled in the mountains with breathtaking views of the turquoise ocean! - The staff were incredibly friendly! Everyone was fantastic and welcoming! - The infinity pool was gorgeous. - I really enjoyed the peaceful vibe and tranquility of the entire place! - They offer a shuttle service to Kamala and Patong, although it’s somewhat limited. CONS: - We reserved the Spa Pool Suite, which came with a wraparound pool, sauna, and hot tub. When I reached out to the hotel to confirm if the bathroom was indoors, they assured me it was. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the case, which was a major letdown. Phuket's heat made using an outdoor toilet quite uncomfortable, especially for someone like me who tends to need the bathroom several times at night. - The shower was also outdoors, which added to the inconvenience. Showering in the heat and then having to step outside for the bathroom was not ideal and made things quite sweaty. - Be prepared for stairs! This place is perched at the top of a mountain. I counted over 30 steps we had to navigate daily just to get to or from our room, plus more than five flights just to reach the lobby for a taxi or Grab. - Getting Grab transportation from the hotel was tricky. It’s about a 10-minute drive up and down the winding road, and some areas are poorly lit. This made it tough to secure a ride, and when we finally did, drivers would sometimes drop us off unexpectedly. This was disappointing, especially since we’ve been to Phuket for the past six years and haven’t encountered this issue elsewhere. When we arrived at the airport and told the taxi driver we were headed to “Paresa,” he immediately reacted with, “oh no!” and expressed his dislike for the drive to the hotel. - The twisty, dimly lit roads made us rush back to the hotel before nightfall. - The hotel provides a cart to shuttle you between your room and the lobby. The catch is that they only drop you off near the restaurant, which means we had to take an elevator and climb two more flights of stairs just to reach the front lobby for our taxi. The hotel was stunning overall. But given the price per night and several deal breakers, we probably won't be coming back.

We at Paresa did not receive any mail from you asking to confirm if the bathroom was indoors, and if we had we would always mention that the Spa Pool Suites have an outdoor bathroom, which is also clearly outlined on our website and part of the uniqueness of this room category. Being on a cliff, there are stairs located around the resort, as well as buggy service 24 hours though guests will experience some stairs during their stay. We had a fantastic stay at this property. The stunning views from our room and the pool were absolutely breathtaking. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, providing excellent service throughout our stay. The cleanliness of the resort was impeccable, and the facilities offered were top-notch. We particularly enjoyed the spacious rooms, refreshing pool, reliable Wi-Fi, and the panoramic view. The location was convenient, although walkability could be improved. “A Slice of Heaven: My Unforgettable Stay at Paresa Resort, Phuket”
As a solo traveler from the U.S., my recent birthday trip to Paresa Resort in Phuket, Thailand, was nothing short of extraordinary. I stayed for about 5 days as a solo traveler in March to celebrate my birthday. From the moment my Grab taxi pulled up, I knew I was in for a special experience, and Paresa exceeded every expectation, delivering unparalleled luxury, peace, and personalized service. Upon arrival, the staff immediately took charge, whisking my suitcase away to my suite while I handled check-in. This seamless process was made even more delightful with a refreshing cold coconut juice and light snacks – a perfect welcome! The resort's use of a WhatsApp number for communication was incredibly convenient, allowing for effortless requests and assistance anytime. The staff was nothing short of pleasant, and accomadating every single step of the way, always helping me plan my itinerary, make reservations and arrange for car service to get around the island. Getting around the sprawling, stunning property was always a breeze, with golf cart transfers readily available to whisk me from my private suite to the restaurant, spa, or any of the resort's various events. The journey to my suite by golf cart offered the first glimpse of the absolutely stunning views that define Paresa. My suite itself was breathtakingly beautiful, designed with ultimate comfort and privacy in mind. It featured a plush queen bed, separate "his and hers" vanities, and both an indoor and an invigorating outdoor shower. The highlight was undoubtedly the private infinity pool and a deep jetted tub where, at 5'9", I could completely immerse myself with water up to my neck – pure bliss. The thoughtful touches continued with a mini-fridge and fresh fruit restocked daily, along with fresh towels and toiletries. For fellow U.S. travelers, all my chargers worked perfectly without any converters. The twice-daily room cleaning, unless opted out, ensured my sanctuary remained pristine. Breakfast, included daily, was a delightful buffet spread at the resort's restaurant. The food was exceptional, and the staff consistently went above and beyond to provide amazing service. Beyond meals, Paresa offered a variety of engaging events like cooking classes and happy hour, ensuring there was always something to do if desired. The overall atmosphere of the resort was quiet and peaceful, making it the ideal retreat for relaxation and rejuvenation. As a solo female traveler, I felt completely safe and secure throughout my stay. The absolute pinnacle of my trip was the experience at Paresa's spa. I indulged in a full body scrub, massage, milk bath, and facial. Words cannot describe how amazing this experience was. The best massage ever was enjoyed against the backdrop of a beautiful ocean sunset, followed by a candlelit milk bath under the moonlight, accompanied by the soothing sounds of the ocean. The pampering continued with fresh fruit and tea, culminating in a thoughtful complimentary gift. It was truly a sensory journey that left me utterly relaxed and revitalized. For my birthday, the resort surprised me with thoughtful room decorations and delicious sweet treats, making the milestone even more special. Paresa Resort is a sanctuary of luxury, tranquility, and attentive service. I intend to return to this resort on my next trip to Thailand and would highly recommend it to anyone seeking an unforgettable escape, especially solo travelers looking for a safe, beautiful, and deeply relaxing experience.
