I like this place. Good location in Nimman. Big parking lots, also the free shuttle to the main Street. Free popcorn and juice at the lobby. clean and cozy room. Will go back again.

It's decorations and deaigns are more than it's price. Very nicely designed room. Close to Nimman road and have a trem bring u to street.

Great stay with an FYI ”
Funky decor and convenient location for walking to the Nimman area or CMU makes this a good place to check out for your stay in Chiang Mai. Rooms are clean and spacious. Hotel staff is friendly. The only downside is that this area of Nimman is directly over the flight path for CNX airport. Nothing against the hotel since it would be the same at other places nearby, but an FYI if you're a light sleeper.

Good value and service”
Stayed here for a week for work and travel. The staff are helpful with any requests I made and the rooms are nice. The walls are a bit thin, as you can sometimes hear your neighbors if they're a little loud. Wifi was a little wonky the first day I had to use it for work, but afterwards worked fine, not sure if it was just the internet traffic on that day. Location is be a bit far from the main road, really depends on your definition of far (5 min walk), but there's a cart that can ferry you to the main street quicker. Overall a pleasant stay, and I'd likely stay here again, as it's in the Nimman neighborhood which has a lot of nice cafes and restaurants.

Good location, very close to One Nimman, but the bathroom is quite small, wash basin clogged, when you take a shower the floor was totally soaked, the sofa bed is quite hard, if you ask for the extra bed then staff says "it already has the sofa bed in the room you can use it", please say NO.

I suspect theres much better value for money accommodation in Chiang Mai but the R1 is well located & affordable. We booked 3 rooms (for 3 couples) Our stay was reasonable however not without some short comings 1. Although a room safe was listed as an included feature of the room(s) there were none when we arrived. 2. After check in the front staff forgot to return my passport - it was only some hours later when I discovered it was missing & it was eventually found. I know I have a responsibility to not let it out my sight however, the check in procedure was not exactly smooth & contributed to this accident. 3. The real disappointment for us was the rancid smell that permeated from the batbroom drainage. We had to keep the fan running & the hotel already had a room deoderiser placed to mask the odour but it was pretty overpowering when using the bathroom. Final thoughts- The R1 is value for money but I will be looking elsewhere next visit.

I liked the interior decoration of a room and building. Furniture, walls decoration, nice for my taste. Clean too. Noise of the people on the corridor, disturbing sleep from midnight til 2 pm and again in the morning (drunk people from last night leaving hotel and cleaning team is loud too ...) I hate noise, so it is not place for me. I am not party person nor I like listening to the drunk people talking through the walls ... Lovely , modern looking hotel with many young young Thai people , guests.
