Lapland Region hotels & accommodations

We stayed for 3 nights before moving onto another igloo for a night and to be honest I wish we had stayed at the star artic for all 4 nights. The staff were incredibly helpful. The room was beautiful but unfortunately we did have a hiccup( an issue that could’ve happened at any hotel). The manager handled our complaint with such professionalism and provided generous co...

The staff in Hostel Villa Kemi were extremely friendly and helpful. As our luggage was lost by the airline in transit, the staff from Hostel Villa Kemi took the initiative to Google the opening times of the sports store, clothing store and supermarket to ensure that we could purchase the necessary clothing.

One needs to take a 10-15 min uphill walk to another "Sky Hotel" before attempting to catch the aurora borealis. You get what you pay for. Location to other activities in Rovaniemi (food, safaris, shopping, museum) requires another 20-30 min walk to the town centre - or a 9eur cab ride. Wifi in the other building (not the facilities block) is extremely poor.

It is a 3 star hotel, and the comfort level was basic. However, the building set-up is not ideal, where the lift is located at one end, and we ended up having to walk to the end of the building to get to our room. It didn't help that someone had barfed on the carpet at the corridor and the 'smell' stayed on for at least one whole day. Nevertheless, the room is decent ...

We traveled at very low season on a Norwegian Holiday when many facilities were closed, even Tourist Information. This is a basic self catering cottage, right off the highway. Future travelers should be aware that 1. They will have to call the manager during down season to check in. We had gone by on 3 occasions to check in, but there was never anyone in the recep...

Rantasipi Polar Hotel is a branch of Rantasipi Pohjanhovi which is a 3minute walk down the street. The hotel is very small and the facilities in the room look a little old and need some refurbishment. However the location is wonderful. The hotel is located in the city centre of Rovaniemi and is well-known by all the tour agencies around. There is an airport bus from t...

The stay was very nice and succsessful. The Hotel is very nice, clean and modern. The rooms are large and equiped very good. The location of the hotel is very wonderful with free rides down the hill to town. The food in the resturant is good but not cheap. The internet service is only in the lobby as Wi-Fi and cables in the rooms. The room service is very good. The nea...

Cannot fault these apartments! The location is excellent - just across from the slopes and close to everything! The facilities are fantastic. The dishwasher and drying cupboard came in very handy, and the sauna was great! We contacted the staff via email and they were always very responsive and helpful. Highly recommended!!!

Room 14. We both got bit by bedbugs or something similar from the beds. Itchy all through the night. Breakfast simple, though for me the porridge is fine. The sausages were probably reheated from previous days. We visited the zoo and the location of this Gasthaus is fine when travelling by car, a few km from the zoo.

As we were going to there for honeymoon, the staff provided us a bottle of sparking wine and a box of chocolate for free. The facilities inside the hotel are great, which include private sauna, full equipped kitchen and stove. The view is also incredible with a half frozen lake next to it, the staff helped us to prepare a small boat with life jackets so that we can exp...

The hotel is very well located, few meters from the center and very easy to find. The hotel room was extremely big, with a great bathroom ! Good breakfast (although it was always the same everyday, but it was good). The lobby is very nice with a lot of sofas where to rest around a fire. I highly recommend the hotel

I stayed at this hotel due to it is one of the pick up point for Ice Breaker Sampo. The transportation is excellent than only 10 minutes walk to railway station and bus terminal. Although the hotel is old style but it has his specialty feeling. Reception is friendly and helpful, provide city map when you ask location of scenery. There is super market and fast foo...

We went for the Northern light sighting for 4 nights at Luosto Lapland. It was around -7 to -20 degree but the enter hotel was very comfortably warmed, so much so that we didn't really feel we were at such a cold area. Late arrival, no problems. Peacefully located; can imagine this is an even more beautiful stay in the summer. The room felt a little bit chilly on arrival, but proved to be just perfect judging by the depth of sleep. They run out of delicious breakfast rolls. The juice made out of garden berries was perfect. Tea mugs should be double the size.

The hotel is new and comfortable with its simple design. The room with private sauna, balcony and cloth dryer. Free self laundry helps a lot! Friendly staff, and they pet reindeer in the garden, you can get food at reception to feed them. Great location just opposite to Information centre (most of activities are picking up there), and walking distance to the lake with ...

The room was a bit small for two adults with normal luggage. No place for keeping the luggage open. In generally what was good: sauna, kitchen, disc washer. Additionally no noise from neighbour rooms. Nearest shop is just opposite of the street. Also the only Alko of the village is just there. Parking place was very near. Breakfast was nice with good choices and f...

The apartment is great for group of friends or family, nicely furnished with all necessary cooking utensils. It is a bit far from the city centre, but with shuttle bus service which made it easy to access to downtown. As it is away from city, likely to see northern light and we really saw it just outside the veranda !!

helpful staff: very helpful in both check-in and other activities recommenaiton. convenient locaiton: just next to the inter-city bus staiton!! however must take taxi from train station. good food: delicous lapposh food with very reasonable price!

This is my second time in Pan Village and it's as clean and well kept as I remembered from over 3 years ago. The apartment/cabin has everything you need from the basics to a sauna, washer, dryer, a separate drying cabinet, fireplace and an unlimited supply of dehumidified firewood! I have no complaints. I will definitely return!

It was enjoyable. I have stayed during christmas holiday and have joined many activities provided by the hotel. Husky riding, sami kota visit, gold panning, etc. I have viewed my first time of northern light right here in the hotel too. Room is comfortable and staff is helpful. Guess i will visit again for coming winters.

Very nicr place to see Aurora with minimal light pollution. close to a lake which provide great space for see. Provide many activities. though i haven't joined many of them but should be exciting and fruitful, from the feedback of other people.

The dishwasher and drying cupboard came in very handy, and the sauna was great! We contacted the staff via email and they were always very responsive and helpful. Highly recommended!!!

The hosts were so nice and welcoming. The location is awesome with unreal views to the forest and the lake. The accommodation is at the same level of awesomeness, we even had a private sauna and everything that we needed (well furnished kitchen, tv, WIFI...). The host even let us ride the snowmobile in the frozen lake! Cannot recommend enough

It located at a small bus stop along the E75. We had a separate nice wooden house, kitchen and a nice sauna builtin. The bedroom was on the 2nd level which was great as it was more space for the living room. Next to the houses was the frozen river, great for an aurora night. At the time, no other tourists were around and we had the entire place for ourself. Highly rec...

This is our last minutes booking at Kilpisjarvi. The reception was okay but the cabin we got was for 7 people ao very spacious and good location just up on the hill. There is woods at the back and also sami tent toward the Saana Mount. Overall experience was as expected.

This is a beautiful house with gorgeous views all around. The kitchen is very well equipped and the sauna was a great added benefit. The house was very clean as well. The bed linen and mattresses however need a desperate upgrade. If you stay in unit 1, please note that the wifi does not work here, which was a bit disappointing. Overall, lovely place!

Positive: - Good location, within the city center. Near to the airport express bus stop - Apartment is well furnished and clean - Walking distance to Arktikum Negative: - Check in time is only from 3-5pm daily. If arrive early, will not be able to check in or leave lugguage at the reception. This was not mention during booking - The apartment is above a pub which oper...

We really enjoyed our stay in Kuukkeli Hirvas. The apartment was cute and with a perfect set up ( actually felt more like your own little hut not an apartment ).
