Valais hotels & accommodations

This hotel is best located between the busy side of the town and the peaceful mountain side. Our room had Matterhorn mountain view and below the hotel you will find a mini supermarket. There are many restaurants near the hotel and this hotel is located next to the river, so you really get the best of everything. Hotel offered us pick and drop from station and breakfast...

I am a single female traveling Europe. I decided last minute to take a trip to Switzerland and more specifically, Zermatt. After reading many travel reviews, I choose to spend the extra money to stay at the Omnia. It was well worth it. I was slightly disappointed (based on most reviews) they usually have a sign with your name on it to take you to from the train stat...

While we booked Hotel Daniela, we were actually told that we were upgraded to their sister hotel, Hotel Julen, which comes with 4 stars+. Yay! So this review is on Hotel Julen. Very impressive boutique hotel that comes with great wifi. Rooms are spacious and very clean, although ours did not come with the view of the Matterhorn. Perfect for a couple with its decor, as ...

We are very happy to stay at Matterhorn Golf Hotel. We planned to ski in Zermatt, but the hotel there is rather expensive for us. Therefore, we went to book this hotel (which is a perfect decision). Randa (the station near the hotel) is just two stations away from Zermatt! Staff are very responsive and personable. Recommend this for tourists!

One of the best hotels I've stayed in, the reception area is gorgeous, the room super stylish with the most comfortable bed, the sauna area really big with so multiple saunas to choose from, the staff were super helpful and we so friendly and went out of their way to make my birthday a wonderful experience. The rooms are also perfectly quiet so we slept amazingly well ...

We booked this hotel because it is right next to the Walliser alpentherme & spa, and got 50% discount for admission fee. Was confused during checkin because the counter and the hotel room are at different buildings. Room is spacious. Our room has windows facing the snow mountain. The view is stunning. Breakfast selection is good.

Newly Refurbished Fresh Room Upgrade - A double room was offered instead of the Single room booked. It made a short holiday break showing visitors from my Asian homeland a definite welcome change from the grey wet rainy weather encountered at Zermatt. Apart from a single cleanliness oversight during the renovations in the bathroom, all was beyond expectations and worth...

This hotel is a resort in a resort town, they have all the facilities of a Spa resort. Whenever I stay in a big Hotel company, I try to remember the service they have provided me from other branches, the standard should be world class level. And so far Best Western have consistent good service and care for their customers, I think that's what we're paying for. When we...

We love this hotel so much, the best in Switzerland for this trip. We choose apartment for 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, it's perfect choice. Each room is large and bathroom is furnish. It has one morden kicthen and one large table for dining, we're so enjoy cooking and have a fun dinner together in group. View from rooms and living room are amazing, we can see Matterhor...

Great services and location. the balcony view is excellent with Matterhorn view. Have free wifi in the room. Breakfast is ok. We need to check out at 7am to catch up the train at the last day, and they are willing to let us took some food away for my breakfast.

Beauitful Scenery, Room is very warm, Location is slightly far from Zermatt railway station, u can take a bus outside the station, is around 2.5, and It took us more that 30 mins walking from hotel railway station as our train was 6am, no bus at the timing.

Amazing place! Everything you need to destress and enjoy the lovely area. Out of the way but only 10 to 15 min walk to town. Beautiful view of the Matterhorn and a waterfall. Helpful and nice host. Very close to the gondola to ascend the mountain. Playground across the street would be perfect for little ones.

The place is self sufficient and has everything you need. Location is great with an elevator that brings you right away from the main street but still close enough. Last bu not least very well Equipped kitchen and electric appliances/accessories are provided. As good as a home gets!

I loved my studio so much for its space and the small kitchen, though it took a while for the refrigerator to function. The room was quiet and clean and the bed was comforable. I will go back again and would like to stay at their two bedrooms apartment which looks spacious and nice.

Lovely hotel. We stayed as a family and had a little suite with 2 bedrooms a bathroom and a little sitting room. It was ideal. The staff were brilliant. They provided the best gluten-free bread I have ever had for the delicious breakfasts. Evening meals were very good too. We ended up staying an extra night because we didn't want to leave. Also the village is very inte...

We stayed in a comfortable four bed room with a nice view on the mountains from the balcony. The hotel is perfect for a family with children. The service was friendly and helpful. The restaurant offers an excellent cuisine for dining. We really enjoyed our stay!

Olie was just delightful and so was our room. Actually to call it a B & B seems a bit churlish, as it had everything but room service; fitness room available at nearby hotel. We arrived in the dark, so weren't sure what we'd see from our balcony, so when I woke up to see Matterhorn right there, it was a most welcome added bonus. I also very much appreciated our room h...

A good hotel with excellent price/quality ratio mainly recommended for travelling and sport activities lovers. Good service, helpful people, clean room but a little too small. The position is a little out of the center and a car is necessary. Anyway the overall evaluation is absolutely positive. Besides, the car parking in the hotel is appreciable.

The room is new, with everything! More importantly, I like the details of all the Switzerland designs. The bed is very comfortable and the kitchen is very helpful for our stay. For some rooms you will have a big balcony shared with the owner or others, from which you can see Matterhorn!! I cannot forget when I woke up in the early morning, I opened the window and see t...

We loved the hotel. Very 70s in style but clean and big rooms. We had a triple room and it was quite spacious and comfortable. Small parking on the same building or free parking on the adjacent streets. Very friendly staff. Free shuttle to ski areas or Crans-Montana 1 minute away. Barzettes gondola is 2 minutes away by the shuttle, walkable with normal shoes, not with ...
Cheap places to stay in Valais

Pros : Price reasonably, great location to Tasch Bahnhof(4 minutes) . 12 minutes to Zermatt by train, so much quieter than if you stay in Zermatt. Room is comfy and roomy. Con : Shower temperature fluctuating difficult to control. No new towels changed for 4 nights stay. Service is alright I guess. Will recommend to friends.

My wife and I had truly enjoyed every moment of our stay at Colombire. The surrounding view which overlooks the alps was awesome. The room which is in the form of cottage provide an unique experience for overseas hotel stay (especially ideal for couples who are looking for some quiet and romantic getaway moment from the city) The only problem was that the hotel is loca...

This Bourg-Saint-Pierre hotel is very comfortable in the beautiful Alps, with great views; this hotel is just before the Col du Grand St Bernard when driving up from Switzerland, The rooms are clean, with friendly staff. WIFI available in the room without cost, parking is free, the restaurant has Swiss fondue. It should be noted that on May 20 1800 Napoleon crossed th...

Technically the location is good. Only 7 mins walk with luggage. But the Google map didn’t give me the shortest route. So it look me longer to get to the hotel. A small supermarket is just a few steps away. The room was comfortable. All necessary toiletries are provided including shower gel and shampoo. Breakfast was not included. But the hotel Resteraunt menu looks q...

Upon arrival & departure between the hotel and the Fiesch train station, my husband & I enjoyed a free shuttle provided by the hotel which helps a lot because we are carrying 2 pieces of big luggage. Christine, Michelle & Ben working at the front desk are most friendly & helpful. As requested, we were assigned to a quiet room which facilitated a peaceful and comfort...

u need to walk a bit long distance from the station, but still located in the edge of the central, so sightseeing within the Sion, it's ok. price is quite reasonable for the quality. room was comfortable, and cosy and clean, no AC is the Switzerland standard, so it is little bit warm in summer. they have basis equipment and amenity, like hair dryer, el. teapot, body sh...

I don't know who rated this hotel just a 3 Star, it is far better than that!! The new we were comming and had prepared reception. They were friendly and quick to assist and the room was spotless. What is Swiss 3star is worldwide 5star! Excellent hotel, excellent service, beautiful rooms and for this price it is def. best option on Martigny Valley. If you coming for cycling, motorbiking, relaxing, or hiking Hotel de Fully is right place to stay. Will def. come again!

I slept in a very comfort room with a balcony facing the beautiful valey of Montana in Switzerland. A very friendly owner of Hotel and staff ensures my stay is memorable with a nice breakfast. It is a pity that I only stay a night in this hotel. But I will be back.

We searched for accommodation for our trip through Switzerland and came across this hotel since it had 8 excellent reviews - we were sceptical but gave it a try since the reviews sounded genuine. The view from the balcony is very nice, relaxing and romantic. There is a nice terrace overlooking the valley. The breakfast was good. The room was good. Just a note: there was a wedding celebration the night we stayed, which meant that we could not get dinner at the hotel and there was a DJ with live music till 3am. The staff did their best to locate the guests af far...

The price is very reasonable considering the high prices in Switzerland (even breakfast is included) This hotel is not brand-new but thr style is very antique in good way. The staff is very kind and helpful. I had a very short stay but I wished I could stay longer.

The Mirabeau was our home base during our stay in Zermatt and each time we returned it felt like coming home. Coming back after two nights in a mountain hotel at Fluhalp, we entered our room and my wife said, “This is awesome!” The Mirabeau staff are exceptionally friendly, accommodating and efficient. We met one on the trail to Findeln and felt as if ran into an old...

The hotel is located near the train station. The hotel just got renovated. Clean and new rooms, New carpets for the whole hotel, very comfortable. The toilet in the room i had was kind of small buit decent and without a bathtub. The breakfast spread was decent and nice. Nearby the hotel there is a supermarket which is an advantage to get daily needs like water etc....

May is definitively not the best time to visit Zermatt as there is a battery of busy trucks in construction. The hotel also took advantage to undertake renovations. The spa area is fairly big. The rooms are really beautiful chalet style. the dinner option is great value also in terms of staff friendliness and quality. The fireplace in the reception area is cosy.

This is a typical Swiss style hotel of an excellent standard. The staff were all very friendly and helpful from the momnet we arrived. The room was very good and the view of the mountains from the balcony excellent. We eat in the restaurant one night and the meal was very good. Absolutely no complaints at all.

When I take my family for a vacation, I would like to expect the same facilities as I have in my own home. This includes to the option to cook your own meals, launder your own clothes and even stay the whole day in the apartment (if needed) and not get board. Finding this place was a very pleasant surprise. It's just around 150 meters from the train station and the pro...

I really love this place, a lot of good beds and a really good kitchen. We love the kitchen so much we can buy groceries from migros and coop in town and we cooked ourselves a fine dinners which save us a lot of money. And the owner is a very kind person. Hope we have a chance to stay there again. The view from the room is nice we can see the top of Matterhorn. Nice pl...

Everything was perfect except we had no hot water for 2nights out of 3nights stay. Room phone wasn't plugged in and was not charged, therefore we could only in get touch via email. As there is no front desk to check in and talk to in person, it might be inconvenient for the traveler who does not have a personal phone

I stayed at the Oxalis room at Welcome BnB Apartments. I had originally booked a 2 bedder for me and my husband and when I saw how large the apartment was, I invited my friends over for the weekend. The owners didn't mind after I had informed them of my plans and didn't charge me extra for the extra linen used. The rooms were nice and warm especially since it was freez...

Spacious but warm apartment with good beds plus full facilities in the kitchen. And a fantastic location - walking distance to everywhere including the train station & ski lifts. The hosts are very helpful and friendly. You will feel right at home here.

Apartment with complete facilities. About 600 metres from zermatt train station or 100 metres from zermatt spiss bus station. There is a bottle of good tasted welcomed wine. All rooms were very neat and clean. Kitchen were ready for cook. I rate 10/10.

The self-checking was easy to follow, but the taxi services from the train station to the apartment were expensive (so is everything else) but are regulated. The apartment is perched up a hill, but it wasn’t too difficult without the luggage. The apartment was exceptionally clean and modern, and the view back down the valley was surperb.
